Last year was the first time I personally hosted a Christmas party. Attending was my immediate family and close friends. We cooked two turkeys and had plenty of food left over. However the abundance in food left us with little money for actual Christmas decorations. That being the case, my son and I decided to make one for ourselves out of glitter, construction paper and Christmas lights. We were quite happy how it turned out.

The point of the tree and this card is to illustrate that spending time with your loved ones is one of the most important parts of the Christmas holiday; not the size of your tree, how many gifts you get, or how fancy the wrapping paper is.

This illustration has become somewhat of a joke amongst my friends and I. It was originally drawn in a Design and Art Theory class where I was asked to present an example of illustrative text. I was really disappointed at the time considering so many people had so many great ideas and all I could come up with was 'Poultry'. However, I was later told by our intructor that my illustration was one of the top three in the class.

Every time I get frustrated with my work, or I feel that my other designs aren't good enough I always refer back to 'Poultry'. At the very least it makes me laugh. I hope it's made you laugh too. =)

Mama D only has one kid but the amount of artwork he produces could probably wall paper the house three times over in more than a month. Luckily they've worked out a system.
