Most commercial shampoos contain harsh synthetics that ‘cleanse’ by stripping your hair of everything, including natural oils. That not only leaves your hair dry and unmanageable, but also dull-looking. This natural shampoo bar is created with hair-loving ingredients, turning an ordinary routine into an indulgent experience, and leaving your hair nourished and naturally beautiful! And an extra bonus - it also works great as a bath soap too!

Scent description: a soothing herbal scent of chamomile with a touch of calendula.

This is a super-conditioning bar of soap with great lathering power, and is made with a unique combination of nourishing and softening oils and butters, along with silk protein to strengthen and condition your hair. Jojoba oil is a penetrating moisturizer that is similar to our hair’s own natural oils, and is rich in protein and minerals. Meadowfoam seed oil adds shine and moisture to the hair and scalp, which are often dried out by the daily washing process. Wheat germ oil is rich in vitamins A, B, E, and D, improving the health of your hair from it’s root, to it’s tip. A mix of olive and castor oil attracts moisture to the hair and is rich in vitamins, while cocoa butter helps to soften and moisturize. Coconut oil works to create an incredible cleansing lather, and palm oil ensures a long-lasting bar of soap.

All DressGreen soaps are made fresh from scratch with high quality oils and butters using the cold process method. You’ll never find any filler oils, animal oils, or mineral oil/petroleum products in any of these bars! What you will find are skin-loving and nourishing oils, protective and moisturizing butters, and high quality essential or fragrance oils. You will also find sodium hydroxide (also known as lye) in the ingredient list - without lye, there is no such thing as a bar of soap. However, there is no lye in the final bar of soap itself as it reacts in the soap-making process called saponification. All DressGreen soap is allowed to cure for a minimum of one month, ensuring a high-quality, long-lasting bar. And all soap is also pH tested and superfatted to ensure a mild, skin-safe bar. This is a handcrafted soap that is also handcut by me (no machines involved), so there will be variations in size, shape, and coloring from the photo above.

To ensure the long life of your soap, store the bar in a cool place, out of direct sunlight until you’re ready to use it. In your shower, store the bar away from the direct water stream, and out of any standing water.

I was amazed when I first discovered that soap found in grocery stores is really anything but “soap”. Usually, it’s a compressed detergent that contains synthetic ingredients which can dry out or irritate the skin, and can even lead to psoriasis and eczema. And most of the time, natural glycerin produced by the soap making process (which attracts moisture and conditions the skin) is removed from commercial bars of soap to be used in more expensive products. It explained a lot about why my skin felt so dried out all the time, and why I always had to use lotion after washing my hands. After switching to handcrafted soaps, the difference was immediately noticeable – softer, moisturized skin that was clearer and healthier all around!

Everyday, we’re exposed to dirt and debris in the environment around us. That dirt can combine with oils on our skin, clogging pores and leaving the skin looking dull and unhealthy. This new DressGreen Facial Mask works to unclog those pores as well as absorb impurities and toxins; and at the same time lightly exfoliates the face, leaving your skin refreshed and rejuvenated.

Made with a unique blend of ingredients, this mask is formulated for normal to oily skin. Organic kelp powder is rich in vitamins and minerals that help to nourish and tone the skin, and is reputed to help prevent wrinkles. Organic calendula powder is added to help sooth the skin with it’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, while at the same time working to reduce signs of blemishes. Directions: create a thin paste by mixing approximately 1/2 teaspoon Green Science mask with 1/2 teaspoon liquid of your choice (cream, honey, yogurt, or distilled water). Apply to face with fingertips, avoiding the area around the eyes, and allow to dry for about 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

***Please note that this mask will turn a “lovely” sea green color when mixed into a paste, and will have a sea-like scent due to the natural kelp powder :)

This mask should be used once a week, and is extra effective following a light facial steam. Although the ingredients in this mask are mild, you may still want to follow up with a light facial moisturizer. Green Science comes in a 2oz tin - enough for more than 20 treatments!

Jojoba oil is a penetrating moisturizer that is similar to our skin’s own natural oils, and is rich in proteins and minerals. A combination of olive oil, grapeseed oil, and castor oil attracts moisture and nourishes the skin. Shea butter and cocoa butter work to soften, soothe, and improve skin flexibility. Scent Description: This is a bold and rich fragrance. Sultry sandalwood and patchouli blend with floral tones at the center. A splash of lemon and rosemary on top is then rounded out with hints of musk and vetyver.

This is a super-conditioning bar of soap with great lathering power, and is made with a unique combination of nourishing and softening oils and butters. Sweet almond oil, rice bran oil, and olive oil attract moisture to the skin, and help to generate new skin cells. Shea butter works to soften the skin, while providing nourishing Vitamins A and E. All DressGreen soaps are made fresh from scratch with high quality oils and butters using the cold process method.
