Stalacites Fine Silver Necklace

Many who have crawled through a cave have noticed crystal like formations hanging from the ceiling, similar to icicles we see in the winter.

The one's hanging from the ceiling are called Stalacites and the ones growing up from the ground are called Stalagmites. Pretty interesting.

To me, it reminds me of the stalacites from a cave and preserved in fine silver. Fine Silver is more pure than sterling and is 99.9% Pure silver.

I made this pendant by melting the metal, at such a high temperature, to liquid form and poured it into a (wet) broom called 'broom casting'.
As the metal falls into the broom and cools, may interesting formations occur. Sometimes, the metal stays close together. Other times, the metal falls into tiny crevices within the broom giving many different forms. It is always exciting taking apart the broom and searching for the silver. Almost like opening a present because you never know what you may find! :)

I found several interesting formations and soldered them together to make this OOAK (One Of a Kind) necklace and earrings.
It was given a light patina to hi-light the formations. It measures 1 1/2 x 1/2in.

It comes on a 20 in. sterling silver chain for immediate enjoyment.

Stalacites Fine Silver Earrings

The earrings and necklace are inspired by the Stalacites in a cave. :)

I soldered the earring formations to fine silver and made the ear wires in a nice delicate shape for easy wear. I tumbled them for several hours to give added sterngth and shine to the piece.

Summer Sunshine Fused Dichroic Glass Sterling Silver Necklace

Layer upon layer of color and sparkle, this heart was meant to bring you great joy.

This is a One of a Kind piece; especially since so many layers of orange, pink, and yellow, with the slightest hint of purple of dichroic glass were fused together.
The result is eye catching and very special. I hope you like it. :)

It measures a little over 1 x 1 in. not including the silver plated bail.

Tranquil Blue Fused Dichroic Glass Pendant Necklace

This piece reminds me of the times I have gazed out into the ocean watching the reflection of the sun dancing over the water.
The tranquil blue color with sparkling silver emits feelings of serenity and peace.

The colors are calm and serene and definitely a favorite of mine.

I wire wrapped it with sterling silver wire and secured it to a handmade fine silver ring. It comes with a black leather cord for immediate enjoyment. :)

The pendant measures 3/4in. and including the fused fine silver bail it is 1 1/2 in. long.

My pieces are made, by yours truly, using compatible glass and fused in a professionally controlled kiln. Then they are slow annealed for strength and durability are fire polished to make sure the edges are smooth as glass should be! :)

Ice Earrings

They were created with Artisan Lampwork beads, Swarovski Crystal beads, and Sterling Silver ear wires.

I made this pendant by fusing black and white millefiori flowers with clear glass. I wire wrapped it with black because I thought it would add a beautiful frame to the bouquet.

Fine Silver Earrings

A delight for your ears!

I made these with Fine Silver which is purer than Sterling. It is 99.9% pure silver!

After I created the dangles, fired them in my kiln, I gave them a slightly oxidized appearance to bring out the texture.

They are attached to sterling silver fish hook earrings. The dangles measure 1 X 1/4 in.

They would go with any outfit! :)

Sunshine Flowers For You Fused Glass Millefiori Pendant

A rich array of yellow, orange, and red millefiori flowers capturing the essence of a beautiful summer's day!

The term millefiori is a combination of the Italian words "mille" (thousand) and "fiori" (flowers)= A thousand flowers. :)

It was wire wrapped with 18g sterling silver, so it has a strong bail. Do you like the added curly~Q? :)

The pendant measures 1 1/4in. If you include the silver bail, it is 1 1/2 in. long.

Rainbow Heart Fused Dichroic Glass Pendant

....Sometimes you need a little rainbow in your heart!

This heart was made with layers of dichroic glass which gives it the magnificent depth of color and sparkle. I used rainbow glass and added a layer of patterns with clear on top for added depth. It even looks like there is a small diamond at the bottom of the heart. Why not? I would definitely take a diamond if it was given to me...even if it was a dichroic glass 'diamond'.
