This Corn Husk Fairy Doll is about 7 inches tall.
Her skirts are bent to make her look as if she is flying.

She is made out of dyed blue, pink, and purple corn husks.

She has a double set of wings made out of purple and silver skeleton leaves.
She has a crystal glass bead hanging on her forehead.

A corn husk wrapped around polyester batting forms the head,
and her face is drawn on with ink.

Her long wild hair is pink, blue and lavender wool roving.

She has leaves made out of paper, moss twigs, and glitter on her dress and in her hair.
Metallic colored thread adds to her whimsical detail.

This Corn Husk Wreath Ornament is about 3 inches in diameter.

It is a wire covered in dyed and natural corn husks with little strips
of corn husks tied all over it.
(I dye all the husks myself.)

Attached to it are paper roses, blue stars, tiny bells, and light blue beads.
There is a blue satin ribbon bow at the top.
It is very detailed and takes a lot of time to make.

It has a nylon thread attached for hanging.
It’s light weight which makes for a wonderful ornament!

Corn Husk Doll with Basket of Flowers
I like to think of this doll as my Red Hat Society Corn Husk Doll.

She is 9 inches tall.
She is made from red and purple dyed corn husk that I dye myself.
Her long skirt is stitched with purple raffia for a decorative detail.
(I also dye the raffia to match the colors of the husks.)

She is carrying a basket of flowers.
I make the basket by braiding small strips of husks and stitching them together with raffia. I also make the flowers with the open petals that are in the basket and on her hat.

Her hair is brown wool roving with a bit of gray in it.
It is stitched into a fancy hairdo.

A corn husk wrapped around polyester batting forms the head,
and her face is drawn on with ink.

All the layers of the skirt are very well glued together.
This makes the base as well as the entire doll very sturdy.
