This simple cover will hold your sketches or paintings or photos . It is made from sturdy 8-9 oz leather and is decorated with a combination of stamp and inverted carving techniques.
Included with the cover are 28 sheets of acid free drawing paper,which is suitable for charcoal,pastel, pencil and pen.
The cover has three holes for future pages and is held together with leather ties. Cover is 9 1/2" x 12"
The cover pictured at bottom is my own which I use
to hold photos of my work when I am at craft shows.

If you have vertical blinds in your house you will know what I am talking about.
It's breezy outside and you want the windows open. But the blinds bang and clatter at any hint of a breeze. You tie them with a rubber band but it breaks.

These leather ties will fit the need for this problem.
Decorated with a nice friendly sun face and held together with rivets. They have been given a coating of water resistant finish.

Here is truly a vintage item! Embedded within the piece of sandstone lies a small fish. (ancient sardine?) Million upon millions years ago this little guy was swimming around in an ocean that is now probably a football stadium.

His tiny bones have been painstakingly highlighted with a fine coat of (paint,dye?) I am not sure.
He can be yours to adorn your office desk or home.
He doesn't say much, but will be sure to spark lots of conversation for you.

The slab of stone measures 4 1/2" x 3". weights around 10oz.

A copy of an early 18th century sewing box. The one pictured is plain an unadorned except for the brass studs.

Medium Size Leather Valise Now Taking Orders

I will be taking order for this. Please allow two to three weeks. This item can be altered in design ie initials in brass tacks can be added to side panel in keeping with traditional design.

Here we have another style of luggage that was prevalent during the 18th and 19th centuries. Known by both names, Portmanteau or Valise they were used in the early days of our country, they came in a variety of shapes and sizes which varied from region to region. This one is a close copy of one designed and used around Colonial Williamsburg

The one picture here is a round top and flat bottom measuring 16" long by 7 1/2" wide by 6 1/4" high that I made for a customer recently.
It is made from heavy saddle grade leather (10-11 oz veg.tan) and completely hand sewn, and then dyed black. I also make them in dark brown or dark red. Two solid brass buckles along with the 1" straps hold the rounded cover down securely. The handle on the left side is double thick for extra strength.

Some of these cases were lined with cloth or soft leather or had pockets sewn on the inside for smaller items such as jewelry. I can also put your initials on the side panel with brass tacks. This too was common in the 18th and 19th centuries.

I can make you one like this or I can make another similar in any length or width you would like, lined or pocketed for an additional price.

The one pictured here is for presentation purposes only and can be ordered anytime. I would need a down payment when the order is taken. When the case is near completion I will e-mail you and final payment is due at that time.

This leather vase was a study in carving as well as wet forming.

As you can tell by the picture the vase looks beautiful with a dried flower arrangement, however it is not limited to flowers.
This vase will sure to bring those oohs and aahs from your guests. Remember, if this falls on the floor you won't have to pick it back up with a broom. No water to mop up either!

The vase measures 6 1/4"square x 6"high.
It has been hand sewn and then wet formed. After coloring, it is given several coats of waterproofing to the outside and inside.

The facts of this lovely vase are as follows. It measures
7 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 7" It is wet formed and when dry completely hand sewn. The designs are done in acrylic paint then finished inside and out with acrylic water proofing.
Like all my vases if the cat tips it off the table you won't have to scramble for the broom and mop.

Even though it is water resistant I do not recommend you put liquids inside.
You may use my lay a way plan for this item. Simply convo me before you buy. Put 25% down,and take two months to pay balance. I display it as RESERVED and adjust balance as you go.
