This hand painted yarn has different shades of blue and green. In one section this yarn is very light blue/green with bits of white. Next is a deep blue that I love so much I'm running out of blue dye! Then there is some blue and green mixed together followed by darker green, and lighter green completes the hank. The color repeats are not exact and flow into different shades as this yarn is hand painted instead of dipped into the dye.

I dyed this yarn with acid dyes for colorfastness. (Nothing harsh though, the acid is simple white vinegar.)

Here is a group of 10 dark red/ maroon felt beads.

These beads are all wet felted by hand by me.

They are great for jewelry and really light weight. They can be used for buttons or decoration or all sorts of things.

To use them you can simply poke a wire or needle through them.

They are about 3/8 to 5/8 inch in diameter. (about 1 to 1.6 cm)

Best Friend Mittens Pattern

This is a pattern for my Best Friend Mittens. It fits a women's medium (about 6 3/4in hand length from beginning of hand to end of middle finger) (just over 7 cm). If your hand is longer/shorter you could add or subtract rows to get the desired length.

These mittens are not handed. You can wear either mitten on either hand, as the thumb is centered on the side.

I used alpaca yarn for the pictured mittens. They're very soft. Gauge = 5st/in
I used size 6 and size 4 double pointed needles, use the size needles you need to get the gauge.

You need to know how to knit in the round to use this pattern.

1)Design your own 2.25 in circles in a file that I can print(.jpg, .odg, .pdf, ...) with 12 circles on a page. The circle should be 2.625 inches in diameter but to allow for the edge to wrap around the side of the mirror the center should be 2.063 inches in diameter.

2)Send me the photo you'd like made into magnets. I'll crop it in a circle and you can approve it before I make the magnets.

3)Draw your own on blank circles and either scan and send it or mail it to me.

In the scarf pictured I used Patagonia Nature Cotton. The weight of this yarn varies slightly, but is mostly a worsted yarn. At 105 yards, I used up all of it to make the scarf 5ft 2in.

This is the knitting pattern for my Daydream Lace Scarf

After you purchase, I will email you the .pdf file. Please put the email address you would like it sent to in the message to seller box.

It is a light and airy scarf that I designed and hand knit. The lace pattern forms diamond shapes. This scarf is great for daydreaming, having fun or just looking good.
In the scarf pictured I used Patagonia Nature Cotton. The weight of this yarn varies slightly, but is mostly a worsted yarn. At 105 yards I had just enough to finish the pattern repeat and edging.

If you like my Daydream Lace Scarf, but would rather knit it yourself, then this is for you!

A new twist on an old idea!

Wool is a good choice for coasters as it can hold up to a 30% of its own weight in water before feeling wet (much more than synthetic fibers). The scales on the outside of the wool fibers also repel water.
Wool also traps air so that it insulates. That's why wool clothes are so warm, but it also works the other way. You can put hot stuff on the coasters and it will insulate the table.

These 4 coasters are dark brown with blue orange and white speckles. I hand knitted them with 100% wool yarn and fulled them for a thicker felted texture.

Hand wash cold. They might shrink a tiny bit in a washer.

I've had a lot of people ask me "What is felted soap?"

Basically, it is soap covered in felt- soap that comes with its own wash cloth, only it works way better than your average wash cloth.
It makes such a nice lather, and helps your soap last a bit longer, which is especially great for handmade soaps.

Felted soap is great if you're in a hurry- no grabbing for a bottle, no pouring- just grab it and wash!

It's also great if you want a little luxury! I seek out a variety of delicious scents from artisan soap makers who take the time to make exceptional soaps. Then I cover them in Corriedale wool and felt them by hand at my sink.

When you're done using it be sure to let it dry. I like to set mine on a soap dish with slots so the water can drain away.

As the soap is used up the wool will continue to shrink helping you use every last bit of the soap. When the soap is gone you'll be left with a little scrubbie. Keep using it at bath time or cut it open and you have a place to keep tiny treasures.

This wrap won't fit through a wedding ring, but is still light weight and luxurious in a cashmere wool blend. This wrap also has an unusual twist to it: it is a mobius strip, a mobius wrap. There is not an inside or an outside, just one side.

First I hand dyed the super soft merino roving different shades of blue and green, with the blue at one end and the green at the other. It's like painting except I poured the dye onto the yarn.

Then I spun the yarn single and navajo plied it to get a three ply yarn that maintains the same color placement. The yarn gradually changes from blue to green over the skein with no repeats.

This would be great for a colorwork project. This yarn could be paired with a solid color worsted yarn. If you'd like more of this yarn, I'm spinning another skein now. I have about 2 oz left from the same dye batch.
