Herman the Lucky cat

$20.00
I'm visiting my sister in Israel and one of the things we like to do most together is make sock-puppets. Not only it's really fun, she also has a very extensive collection of single socks!

So a couple of days ago, we sat and made a couple of those lucky cats together. My sister made Herman the green cat, she said her system of naming puppets is by giving them the first name that comes to mind, in this case, it was Herman.

Herman the lucky cat is an amateur opera singer, he's got a really good baritone and enjoy mostly Italian operas, he also loves to take care of his neat little apartment, and arrange his books and laundry by colors (I'm always jealous of people who manage to do that!).

He's made from a couple of green and white stocks, and have a pink colar with a red star ornament around his neck.

And I'm feeling torn between being sad for the lose of warmth, sun and long long days to being excited at the prospect of snow and Christmas lights.

And so I decided to welcome both in some snowy dishes, like this polar bear milk glass.

This glass in nice and heavy, 6" tall and 3.5" across (15cmX9cm) and is decorated with 2 polar bears in the snow. I'm sure that serving milk to Santa in this will keep your stockings coal free, or if you don't celebrate Christmas, just fill it with beer and celebrate winter...

Paint contain no toxic ingredients, and conform to ASTM D-4236.
$15.50
Whatever else we do that day, our mornings always starts the same, we wake up, get dressed and go out for breakfast. Sometimes we talked about what we are going to do that day, sometimes about the dreams from last night, some morning we are both so out of it we can't even speak till we have some coffee and food.

The thing about eating breakfast out is that there's a lot of waiting involved, we wait for menus, wait for coffee, wait for each other to finish the food, wait for a check. Usually in that waiting time, I doodle or draw or paint, just quick not serious drawings, on the paper table cloths, the back of flayers, random pieces of paper - whatever.

I decided to launch a series of drawings I'm going to call "by my breakfast" which are going to be a random drawing everyday, which will be priced as much as I paid for breakfast.

Today's drawing was done in "Lodge" it's one of my favorite places in the neighborhood, and the best place for people looking because the windows are so huge. It's on an old book page and done in pen and watercolor.
I had a protabello and cheese sandwich (11$) and a coffee(2$) and tip was 2.5$.

This in an original, watercolor, and ink piece, 8.25"X5.5" (21X13.5 cm). Signed and dated.

It fit snugly in your hands while having a hot drink, and can also be used at a small planter or a pencil holder on your desk.

The cup is about 3" (8 cm) tall and 3" (7 cm) across. I think it mostly have to do with being brave and trying a lot of new things. I think Nettie is one of the most inspiring people I met lately, because of everything she had done already.

The painting is done on a an acid free watercolor paper, it about 5.5"X4". Signed and dated.

Unlike the other dishes I made, I tried to make the background colorful and leave the animal white. I really like how clean looking and elegant they came out.

I've made 4 plates in this series of blue background and bird set, they are 7" (18 cm) across and perfect for either salad or dessert, or to be used for decoration (I think they'll look nice in a bathroom actually...)

This listing is for the plate with the blue jay.

The drawings are one of a kind and made by hand, there will never be another cup just like it!

The paint is non-toxic and dishwasher safe.

$28.00
I got an interesting e-mail from a really nice buyer last week, asking me, after she seen my older paintings on Flickr, if I still do any bondage drawings. I thought about it and realized that I haven't in a really long time. I think I used to draw more bondage at the end of my last relationship, when I felt trapped and unsatisfied and wanted, more then anything else, to feel wanted and desired.

To me there's something very comforting about the notion of bondage, there's a lot of freedom in not being able to move, in knowing that at that moment, there are no choices to be made or anything I need to be doing, the body is super sensitive and alert, but the mind becomes very mellow and calm.

Ropes can feel like a restriction, but also, like an embrace.

The reference for those images are from a well known collection of old pornography which used to belong to a man called Michael B, the collection became famous for being the body of evidence in Michael B's trail at the early 60's and became one of the milestones in making pornography legal.

This is the Forth of the 4 drawing series.

This painting is about 6"X4.5" and done in watercolor and pen on an acid free watercolor paper. It's signed on the right bottom side.

Sold unframed and unmated.

I didn't want to also take it from an ugly bottle...
So I decided to find or make something that would make me like my vitamins more and Ned found some beautiful brown glass bottles that we can use.

Those pill bottles are perfect! they are small enough to fit in a traveling bag or a purse, and would look beautiful in your medicine cabinet or on your bedside table.

The bottle close with a strong fitting black plastic cap, and decorated with a beautiful bird and the words "feel good" in white, black and yellow. The design is done by hand and there would never be another bottle just like this.

Paint contain no toxic ingredients, and conform to ASTM D-4236. It's also dishwasher safe.

Henzel the Fox - Reserved for ericaeley

$45.00
This item is reserve for ericaeley - if you are not her, please don't buy it. If you are interested in a similar item, please contact me and I'll make one just for you!

--------------------------------------------------------

I love discovering new materials, and my latest one is knits. I don't know how to knit myself, but after the successful experiment of making Franco the fox out of an old scarf last week, I couldn't wait to start again, and so a trip to the Salvation Army store got me a few wonderful quality sweaters and I used one of them to make this great purple fox.

Henzel have a German name because of his bright blue lederhosen, he's very soft and extremely cuddly. His face, tail and feet are embroidered in great detail, in lilac, orange and yellow. He's a funny guy who loves telling jokes and drinking beer and hanging out in log cabins dancing Bavarian folk dances and enjoying good company of friends. He's also very good at scrabble.

Henzel is about 21" tall, he wears linen lederhosen and a bright red ribbon, he's basically baby safe, if you take off the ribbon. He makes a wonderful friend and companion and is a true work of art.

So, if you are one of those but still want to enjoy the calmness of a Koi fish pond, or you live in a very small space, this item is perfect for you!

This is a tiny Koi Fish pond, with a perfect illustrated fish, some pebbles and Lilly pads. They'll never die and you don't even have to feed them...

If you are attempting to peng-shui a small space, filled with water with a few pebbles thrown it, this can be a cool modern looking water feature.

And of course, you can also use this as a small tapas or salt plate or a place to keep your rings (or in my case, camera memory cards).

Plate is 3.75" across (10 cm) and about 1" deep (2.5cm) and hand painted.

Paint contain no toxic ingredients, and conform to ASTM D-4236. They had birds on and were decorated in red and blue. Last week finally they found a home and I had them out for a few days before I packed them to send. In those couple of days everyone that went into the studio kept telling me how they love the red and blue birds and how much they wanted to buy them!

So, now that those are send, I decided to make some new ones!

The cup and saucer are made of the most beautiful white porcelain, and decorated with birds, branches and leaves.

Listing is for ONE cup and ONE Saucer, both in red.

The drawings are done by hand, in black and red and are one of a kind, there will never be another set just like it.

The cup is 3.75" (9.5 cm) across and 2.5" (6) tall. The saucer is 6.5" (16 cm) across.

Paint contain no toxic ingredients, and conform to ASTM D-4236. She wanted a drawing with the animal that's related to her daughter's astrological sign.

I thought that was a really neat idea, and decided to make some other zodiac symbols related drawings.

This is a drawing for the astrological sign Pisces, the fishes.

This is an original, watercolor acrylic and ink piece, on an old page from a book 8"X5.5" (20X13.5cm).

This one is a lizard on an orange background. I started drawing animals today because I felt like drawing something nice and not too harsh.

Me and Ned had a couple of rough days, a friend of us died a couple of days ago and we just found out about it. I've been thinking a lot about friends today, and about life and death and the things that makes us feel alone, and the things that makes us feel together.

I think that my desire for a softer, more gentle world comes across in those.

This is an original, watercolor acrylic and ink piece, on an old page from a book 8"X5.5" (20X13.5cm).

I really like their cute faces and amazingly intricate scale pattern, as well as the cool ability to curl into a ball.

This painting is made on watercolor paper in watercolor and ink, it's a shy looking armadillo on a background of blue and white stripes with the words "nine Banded Armadillo" on top. The word of the week was "Strong".

In the past week I've been dealing with some medical issues that were somewhat painful but mostly really frightening. It's perfect for a large cool milkshake or ice coffee or lemonade on a hot sweaty day. Or to store pen and pencil in, or as a beautiful vase for some flowers. The drawing is one of a kind, there will never be another glass just like this.

Paint contain no toxic ingredients, and conform to ASTM D-4236. It's also dishwasher safe.
