I don't feel you should say it doesn't exist until you have a fact. So when I was asked by Tom Reichelt, General Manager of the East Gate Marcus Cinema Theater in Madison. Wisconsin and I am a local artist presenting my work there through December, 2008, I agreed. I thought about it and feel good that I captured the ultimate Vampire.

This is my photography. I am a photographer at heart. When I see something as cute as this I have to be ready to get a picture. Mr./Mrs. or baby Squirrel was waiting for my famous peanuts. The little one almost came inside the house that day.

I thought you all would enjoy viewing my neighbor. Each one does this so they vie for the best view of me getting their peanuts ready. I might add that the railing seems to be too hard for some of the little ones to balance on.

Each year I donate a poinsettia to the church in memory of the family and friends I have lost through the years. This beautiful Christmas flower is then delivered to the housebound person of my choice. I can not think of a better way to remember them all.

The poinsettia is the number one selling potted plant in North America, especially around the holidays. It is as much a symbol of Christmas as the Christmas tree. The plant is named after former American ambassador to Mexico Joel Roberts Poinsett who introduced it in the United States in 1828. The poinsettia comes in a variety of colors but I, like most people, like red the best.

I hope people will purchase 1 or 20 and or 44 of my presidents (yup, I did President Obama, I even did him on a limited edition because I had him done in November) as collectors. I placed them together to get more attention. They are of paper with my painting as a print laminated to preserve each one forever with my logo and address and finished with a gold stretchy cord to hold on your wrist as you read and to top it I have placed a beautiful gold brain on the cord.

I feed all kinds of birds and animals. At some time each tugs at my heart. I have 2-3 squirrels I feed by hand and this little guy comes right up to me. I can actually get the little squirt to do a trick for me. I got it right at my feet and said, "Look-up!", and I got this adorable shot.

I painted this because of two men in my life who both loved boxing. As a young girl I remember my father, August Meier, sitting in front of the radio every Saturday night listening to boxing. He would make jabs and uppercuts in the air as he listened to the bouts. Later in life I met John Gibson, Jr. He was my supervisor and good friend. He was also the lightweight champion of the University of Wisconsin in 1938.

I always loved watching Sammy Davis, Jr. perform and have felt compelled to paint his portrait for a long time. Not only was he one of the world’s greatest song and dance men, he was also instrumental in ending racial discrimination in show business.

Samuel George Davis, Jr. was born in Harlem in 1925. His parents were both dancers in vaudeville. When he was three years old his parents split up. His father took him on tour and Davis’ showbiz career was underway. Throughout much of his career Davis was recognized as "the world's greatest living entertainer." He was a remarkable performer, able to sing, dance, act, and make people laugh.

During his early years in Las Vegas, he and other African American artists were allowed to entertain at hotels but were often banned from staying at them or gambling in their casinos. Later, Davis refused to work at venues that practice racial segregation. This eventually led to the integration of many Las Vegas hotels and casinos. Davis, a member of the 1960s Rat Pack, was among the first African American talents to find favor with audiences on both sides of the color barrier.

Davis died of throat cancer in 1990. He was 64.

My Mother came to me one day and asked me to paint Little Boy Blue. So I did and she loved it. I was always so happy when my paintings pleased her. She was my best critic. I sometimes have trouble knowing when my paintings are finished. Mom was great at telling me whether I needed to do more or put down my brush. She’s now gone so this is in tribute to you mom. I love you.

Little Boy Blue was my first work using canvas. It was tough because you have to work hard to stretch it and then prime it before you paint on it. I just want to start a painting without a lot of fuss. That’s why I much prefer using canvas boards.

My friend Patricia (Pieper) Gamer, since we 10 years old (we were lucky-we found each other again), sends me beautiful cards from her property in Minnesota. She took this picture and I asked her if I may paint it. She said she didn't care. It just inspired me. I loved the colors and I am animal oriented. Animals or birds can not speak for themselves and they are usually very beautiful and are now losing their habitat's. I feel I must speak up for them by painting them.

They are a beautiful gifts that only the Almighty could have used His paint brush to paint them as they are in all their glory. I hope I can do this gift I have been given justice.

Since I’ve always been interested in history I decided to paint all the past U.S. presidents. It was a big undertaking but I was actually able to complete all of them.

George Washington was the first President of the United States, but he wasn’t the first one I painted. That was Abe Lincoln. Washington was arguably the greatest president we’ve ever had. He served as president from 1789 to 1797; setting the standard for all our future Commander-in-Chiefs.

George Washington is also available in prints, jewelry, and bookmarks.

This is my friend "Tucker". He seems to be guarding my t-shirts but they are for sale. Please visit my shop and you may find one you wish to purchase or request a customized print from my many prints of my oil paintings.

He is part Lab & part Poodle. We became friends fast. At first the gentleman who runs the store (Jacket-Racket in Madison, Wisconsin) didn't bring him out when I was there but I had to go back into the store and he had "Tucker" out of the back holding unto his collar because as usual I was on a run.

Me, being a lover of any animal, told him to let me pet "Tucker" if I could. Always be careful to ask the master/mistress because it may be inappropriate. Now "Tucker" and I have a great relationship. He is a playful 6-month old and he is very social. I can't always play with him as I wish because I am usually in a hurry to get on with business or get home because it is a very long day for my handicap. I am doing this for therapy and it really is a joy for me to see what people like in my t-shirts.

I painted this after my visit with Steven Walloch my personal banker who I did not know would be dead by the time he was supposed to view it.

I saw an opening of light in through sky and thought wouldn't it be nice if Jesus could reach down through God's lite and send peace to all of us. I was at a stop sign and just stared at it for few moments of wonder and I went home and painted it. It is really in honor and memory of all broken hearts, wars and there heroes and people who are unsung heroes. I hope you like it.

My mom did so much for all of us that I thought I would practice her religion now for her. So I being open ask and receive. I received this beautiful affirmation of, "Divine Guidance Illuminates my Every Step" and I said to myself. I should paint that. Sooooo....here it is. Enjoy!

When I was young I would go to my grandfather’s house and pick violets. I would make them into beautiful bouquets and give them to my mother. I remember how happy that always made her. The wood violet is Wisconsin’s state flower. It grows in a variety of beautiful purples and whites. I saw this violet sitting alone one day so I took a picture of it. When I was young I would go to my grandfather’s house and pick violets. I would make them into beautiful bouquets and give them to my mother. I remember how happy that always made her. The wood violet is Wisconsin’s state flower. It grows in a variety of beautiful purples and whites. I saw this violet sitting alone one day so I took a picture of it. It looked so pretty I decided to paint it.

I love animals. A friend of mine took me to an animal preserve in Wisconsin to get my mind off the State of Wisconsin problem. This little guy was sitting in the heat with flies covering him and being teased by some children. I told them not to do that and to bring him some water. they did and I showed them how to use a piece of cloth to rub him down to cool off and to shoe the flies away. He really touched me. I was told this is my worst work but it is one dear to my heart. The little guy was so vulnerable.

I wanted to paint a feather that I saw floating above the ground as the ducks took-off from my backyard. They come to feed every night. I saw this beautiful feather come delicately floating to the ground and I thought about it for about a week after I took it inside to enjoy it. So I painted a gander (female) brown feather floating on a air current down-down to the ground.

I feed about 50 ducks every day. I have both Drake and Gander. They are exquisite. The female or Gander being brown. I photograph them as often as I can but I want them to stay wild so I try to take their picture at a distance with my digital.

I am working on a feather that came floating down in the pretty blue sky. So I hope you like it.

My Brother Dr. Mrs Rae J. Warren Meier of Organic Chemistry

My brother (I included his wife (Rae) because they were soul mates) invented a gloss for waterproofing cellophane. DuPont got credit and they really did my brother wrong so I am going to make it right.

My big brother passed away (11/16/07)of 4 infections he got in the hospital after going in for a bump on his head. After that was healed he got bladder infection, kidney infection, intestinal infection, MRSA and then pneumonia. Let's clean up our hospitals. He went there to get well and died unexpectedly. It isn't right.

He was a good brother and a gentleman and kind and sweet.

I feel if people purchase a print of him they can spread the word. John Warren Meier, Phd in Organic Chemistry.

I am very sad but to get through some of my grief I painted his portrait.

I wanted to paint Howard Hughes because he was such a misunderstood genius, but I put it off until I knew exactly how I wanted to portray him. One day I came up with the idea of painting his famous “Spruce Goose” in a spiral behind him. The spiral effect brings the viewers focus directly to Hughes’ face. I thought that was only fitting for a man as captivating and interesting as Howard Hughes.

Hughes was a philanthropist, industrialist, film producer, director, aviator, and one of the wealthiest men in the world. He was also mentally unstable, eccentric, and, in the end, a recluse. I wanted to paint him because people should remembered him for his accomplishments not for his personal problems. The life of Hughes was both inspiration and tragic.

I always feel a light house is mysterious. I think of a woman with long flowing hair waiting by the sea on a moonlight night as the waves come rushing to the shore. She is waiting for her sea captain husband to come home and they will rush to each others arms. I see the beautiful sunset or dawn and she waits Does he come home to her. I am a cock-eyed optimist and a romantic who likes to see the the ride off into the sunset. What do you think?
