each pack is offers approximately 30 pieces of varying sizes of paper in a 8x10 clear bag. i've carefully selected a great variety of paper from my collection.

this includes: chinese calendar pages, gorgeous handmade paper( some of it has been hand dyed by me), playing cards, vintage book pages, italian and japanese paper, shipping tags, game pieces, maps and bus tickets, postage stamps and other beautiful papers.

each pack are slightly similar but no two are quite alike, this is a great way to get an assortment of paper for your collages!

This is my first collection of my poems and stories. My writing is often about living in san francisco, childhood memories and riding public transportation. this book also includes various photographs i took walking around the city.

Book of lives

My name is a book of lives
I press leaves inside
Scraps of the city – one crumbled bus ticket, a newspaper washed with rain,
A torn photograph of two little girls

My name is the map of the world
A body of continents and stars

On an airplane
I look at the map
flights intersect
Travel miles & seas
hours & clouds

A window bird trills by my bed
Power lines crisscross streets
Like threads in the sky

A book of lives is a month of Saturdays
A seahorse from Peru
Perfume at my neck

All the threads in my body connect
The heart beats

Look inside a red suitcase, you’ll find letters to no one
Objects Found & Lost, a plastic white fan

Contradictory, jade-green, city grids
The last bite of an ice cream cone
These are all my names

I savor these words on the tip of my tongue

A book of lives
Lives in my right hand
I clutch a pen in the other

All the rivers flower into the sea

bio:
Annie Yu has been writing since she was thirteen years old. Now she is twenty years old and attending City College of San Francisco. Besides writing, she is a collage artist, zine maker and is studying to become a graphic designer. She has attended the National Book Foundation’s Summer Writing Camp in 2004 and 2005. As a WritersCorps intern in 2006, she traveled to the Santa Fe Indian School teaching zine workshops. Annie has performed her work at City Arts and Lectures, Intersection for the Arts and KRON. Recently, her work was in the WritersCorps anthology Tell The World published by HarperCollins. Her collage art has been published in Somerset Studio's Art Journaling magazine and shown her work at the San Francisco Art Commission Gallery in the exhibit This Place Called Poetry.

a pack of collage scraps is packaged neatly inside a 5x7 plastic bag. there are approximately 20-30 pieces of varying paper scraps. these papers are carefully pulled from my collection of ephemera. great for collage and mixed media projects, scrapbooking and other paper crafts!

a typical assortment within a collage pack is origami papers, handmade and decorative papers, slide mounts, playing cards, ads from vintage magazines, old text pages and more.
