A beautiful shawl design that is wonderfully practical!

Bella Blood Red is knitted using a red silk and wool yarn and is alternated with a textured rayon yarn in autumn shades of oranges, reds and greens with a tiny bit of sparkle for fun!
It has a lovely shape that hugs your shoulders and stays put, but it can also be folded in half, wrapped around your neck and the ends put through the loop for a scarf.

It is lightweight, yet warm, and folds up nicely to fit into a small drawstring bag (included) which can be carried inside a purse or tote. Then bring it out to put on if the weather turns chilly or the air conditioning is on too cool in the restaurant or theater. It is a true life saver and a great fashion accessory!

I knitted a version of this shawl for myself and took it with me on a trip to Italy. It was so wonderful to wear as either a shawl or a scarf. I wear several versions of this shawl throughout the year.

Measures approximately 12" (30.5 cm) at widest,
56" (1.422 meters) long from end to end.
Drawstring bag is 6" (15.2 cm) high, 6 1/2" (16.5 cm) wide.

These soft sculpture toys are safe for children to play with, though probably not good for babies who might put the glued base in their mouths!

This unique original design of mine has eleven different shades of three colors- black, gray, and cream.

I used a mix of acrylic and acrylic/wool blend yarns. All the yarns are washable, so that means if you spill your spaghetti on it, no problem! (as long as you wash it fairly quickly and don't leave it stuffed under your bed forever...)

Measurements: approx. 2 1/2" (6.4cm) wide X 77" (1.956 meters) when gravity hasn't yet taken effect.

Washing instructions: Machine wash in cool water on gentle cycle. It would be best to lay flat to dry, but can be tumble dried on low or no heat.

This kitty cat couple love to sit and watch the birds outside the window as they soak up the warm sunshine.
Each wears a little blue bell on a blue ribbon collar.
Their tails entwine to form a heart.

I was inspired by my own kitty couple, Ted and Kelly, who were so sweet together and used to sit entwined in my window.

I sewed these kitties myself, with love and care. 'Fed' them with stuffing until they were quite full, and gave them a firm foundation to stand on. They are ready to play!
These pretty kitties don't like bathing or playing in the rain, however, because they are not waterproof and might ruin their base if it gets really wet.

These soft sculpture toys are safe for older children to play with. Not recommended for babies who might put the glued base in their mouths. The bells are small- though the collar bows are sewn on securely, they could be pulled off with enough force. The kitty's tail has padded wire inside.

I studied how a real human skull is shaped to design this awesome 3-dimensional amigurumi skull using crochet techniques.
I created this skull using a gray acrylic yarn, so that if this skull parties too hard and gets dirty it can get a gentle washing by hand to get clean again!

I designed this warm set so that you could wear it several ways. It really could be called 4 in 1, because you can also wear it as a headband over your ears.

I used two yarns to create this design- solid black acrylic, multicolor acrylic and polyester. The colors are a warm mix of dark turquoise, oranges, lavender and blue.

As you can see from the photos, you can wear this as a hat using the mini scarf to tie it at the top. You can wear it as a cowl, either doubled or not, with or without the mini scarf as an extra decoration. When you wear the mini scarf by itself, you can either leave the flowers hanging free or tie the scarf around your neck.

Monet Inspired Handbag - Felted Purse

When felting, I love seeing how the knitted fabric turns magically into a solid and thick felt with a cool knubby texture.
I knitted this bag over-sized out of a variegated yarn and a coordinating solid color yarn held together, then changed to a different solid color yarn at the top edge for a border effect. The colors translate into a muted mix of pink, purple, and gray-green, with dark royal blue throughout.
It reminds me of a Monet painting.

After shrinking it in the washer, while wet I pulled and tugged and worked the shape so that the bag would keep the side pleats when dry.

When it was dry, I sewed on black plastic handles using navy blue cotton yarn- very sturdy.

Measurements: approx. 12" (30.5cm) wide X 7" (17.8cm) high,
6" (15.2cm) deep,
handle openings are 4 1/2" (11.4cm) high X 5"(12.7cm) wide.

Retro Crochet Fulled Bag

This OOAK original Bohemian bag was fun to design using vintage wools from the 60's and 70's. The wool yarns had labels from Grant's and K-mart! It is crocheted and then fulled (felted).

On one side of the bag, it has a fun design of two blocks with 3-D flowers surrounded by green 'leaves'. The flower and leaf part of the blocks are in two different colorways-one has pink with olive, the other is dark red with grass green. The rest of the block is like a 'granny square', very retro!

The rest of the bag is done in a special pattern which allows the colors to flow from one row into another. The seams are on the outside in a dark red for a nice border to the 'bargello' like pattern. It looks great worn with either side showing!
The straps are made using a woven technique.
This bag sure took many hours to create (my mind has blocked out the exact number, but believe me it was a lot!).

Measurements: approx. 12 1/2" (31.8cm) wide X 10" (25.4cm) high,
3 1/2" (8.9cm) deep, straps are 1 1/2" (3.8cm) wide X 22" (55.9cm) long.

2- Blues and Rhythm Series-Spike FLower Cuff/Bracelet

This is #2 in my Blues and Rhythm Collection, a creative series of wristwear I did as a study of geometric shapes and continuous linking techniques worked in crochet.

Each bracelet/cuff is worked with a continuous flowing strand of wool instead of being worked in separate pieces and joined, then fulled (felted), and most of them are finished with embroidery.

Number 2 has three flowers embroidered around the openings in cotton thread in light yellow-green, pink and dark pink. Two of the flowers have dark pink centers with pink spike petals, one has a pink center with dark pink spike petals. The wool is variegated with colors of blues, black and a hint of dark purple.

Measurements: approx. width 1 3/4" (4.4cm),
measures approx. 7 1/2" (19.1cm) around inside relaxed,
stretches up to 9" (22.9cm).

Handspun Flower Pin, Hand Woven Wool, Natural Dyed Pinks, Burgundy and Sage Green

This lovely flower brooch uses some of my hand spun wool yarns that were dyed as roving with natural dyes. I didn't label the roving with which dye stuff was used, but I believe for the pinks it was madder root, and the green was first dyed yellow with goldenrod and overdyed with indigo.

The petals of this flower and leaf were hand woven and then sewn together. I sewed on some brown felt on the back to attach the pin back.

A beautiful organic flower pin like this would look great on your clothing, hat, or even your hand bag.

Measurements: approx. 4.5"(11.4 cm)x 3.75"(9.5 cm) across,

A beautiful bracelet crocheted from black cotton thread and Japanese glass beads. It has a nice solid weight that feels wonderful to wear!

The technique I used is a variation of Tunisian crochet. This flexible bracelet is reversible- all the beads show on both sides.

The glass beads have a Raku-like finish, the color of the beads is between violet and magenta (you can look those up on Wikipedia.org).

Measurements: approx. width of bangle band: 1/2" (1.3cm)
inside measures approx. 8 1/4" (21cm) around (it does NOT stretch very much)

This is a cool design, my own original woven and embellished creation!

I used a soft merino wool in a warm autumn rust color that only up close you can see a hint of other colors mixed in, a bit of pink and orange. I wet felted Crop Circles by hand after finishing, for extra soft texture. Even though this design is lacy and open it is still warm and cozy!

Adjustable: Fits size Small to X-Large.

Lacy Handspun Flower Pin in Woven Handspun Wool - Natural Dyed Pinks, Burgundy and Sage Green

This lovely flower brooch uses some of my hand spun wool yarns that were dyed as roving with natural dyes. I didn't label the roving with which dye stuff was used, but I believe for the pinks it was madder root, and the green was first dyed yellow with goldenrod and overdyed with indigo.

The petals of this flower and leaf were hand woven and then sewn together. This flower has a lacy pattern woven in the top layer of pink petals. I sewed on some brown felt on the back to attach the pin back.

A beautiful organic flower pin like this would look great on your clothing, hat, or even your hand bag.

Measurements: approx. 4.5"(11.4 cm)x 3.75"(9.5 cm) across,
pin back is 1 1/2" (3.8cm) in length

This stunning lariat style necklace has little clusters of opaque beads that have jewel colors that have a black metallic overtone - deep sapphire blues, amethyst, bronze and emerald.

This is #11 in my Blues and Rhythm Collection, a creative series of wristwear I did as a study of geometric shapes and continuous linking techniques worked in crochet.

Each bracelet is worked with a continuous flowing strand of wool instead of being worked in separate pieces and joined, then fulled (felted), and finished with embroidery.

Number 11 has cotton embroidery in dark pink, orange, and light orange. It's design looks a bit like a peace sign. The wool is variegated with colors of blues, black and a hint of dark purple.

Measurements: approx. width 1" (2.5cm),
measures approx. 7 1/4" (18.4cm) around inside relaxed,
stretches up to 8 1/2" (21.6cm).

Once upon a time there was a "real" woman who lamented and sighed over the lack of a knitted skirt that would do her ample and curvy figure justice, instead of the skirts that only looked fabulous on those "stick-figure" gals. And so, the skirt now known as Gore-y was born to meet this need, and restore balance once again to the world.
Gore-y has enough substance in the felted gores to gracefully glide over those lumpy, bumpy parts without being too bulky, while still having plenty of drape in the contrasting knitted sections. But Gore-y is a true hero in that she would look good on any body!

Tres Amigas - Friendship Dolls

These three friendship dolls may be playing "Ring a Ring o' Roses" or "Ring Around the Rosie" or some other fun game!

I sewed these dollies myself, with love and care. 'Fed' them with stuffing until they were quite full, and gave them a firm foundation to stand on. They are ready to play!
These pretty girls don't like bathing or playing in the rain, however, because they are not waterproof and might ruin their base if it gets really wet!

These soft sculpture toys are safe for children to play with, though probably not good for babies who might put the glued base in their mouths!

I created this beautiful lightweight woven scarf with a unique technique. It is soft, fuzzy and warm, due to the mohair in this multicolor two strand yarn which also has a shiny gold thread wrapped around the smooth yarn.

To add even more fashionable style, it comes with a matching 3D flower pin to secure it around your neck, or use it separately to adorn your jacket, shirt or bag.

Here's a new original line of cuff bracelets that I designed by creating yarn out of clean plastic merchandise bags and crocheting this new yarn into cool looking accessories by playing with color and texture!

This bracelet has a fun circle design that is also the 'button' that the loop goes over.

Measurements: approx. width 1 1/2" (3.8cm),
measures 8" (20.3 cm) long including button loop,
fits up to 7 1/2" (19.1 cm) snugly.

Introducing my new collection of jewelry- Inspired Dreams.

I often get ideas throughout my day, and sometimes even at night in my dreams! This is the first bracelet that came from an inspired design from one of my dreams recently. It really is so cool to be dreaming and then have an idea given to me, I even remember asking in my dream how to make it and was shown how! So then the next day, of course, I was obsessed with getting it done, and even created several other variations which will be listed soon too.

This unique bracelet has navy cotton thread surrounding glass beads that are suspended in between the borders like a ladder. The beads are in a complementary combination of crystal, blues, bronze, turquoise, browns, and just a hint of dark purple.

Measurements: Inside measures approx. 8 1/4"(21 cm) around, Width of side approx. 1 1/2" (3.8 cm)

I used a special knitting stitch pattern to combine several types of yarns to create this beautiful and warm scarf. I used novelty yarns made of man made fibers and combined them with natural fibers of wool, mohair and cotton. The colors in this subtle but stunning winter accessory are lavender, light purples, dark pink, and a touch of gray blue, and a hint of cream. The architectural structure of this design makes it firm and not floppy so it keeps your ears covered and warm! You can also push it under your chin to stay and at the same time keep your ears covered up. Mmmmm, Toasty.

The colors all work together with blended harmony and contrast. Red, Cobalt, Gray, Navy. Several of the yarns have specks of other random colors which adds visual interest.
