The base yarn I use is a soft commercially spun blend of 75% superwash Merino wool and 25% nylon. There's bright red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. The third picture shows the yarn as it came out of the dyepot before reskeining.

This particular skein has longer color sections than some of my other sock yarns. Each color section is a little over 12 inches long.

There are 462 yards (422 meters), it's from a smoke-free shop with no indoor pets, and comes wound into a center-pull ball. The gauge: 7-8 stitches = 1" on #1-#3 needles. (Machine or hand wash separately, tumble dry low or lay flat to dry.) Thanks for looking!

I spun up this Falkland singles yarn from a gorgeous roving I purchased from FatCatKnits right here on Etsy. There are blues, greens, ecru, periwinkle, browns, and dark copper. I set the twist in warm water, added a touch of lavender Eucalan to the rinse, and hung it outside to dry. This skein is approximately 150 yards (137.2 meters), 4 ounces (113.4 grams), at about 7-8 wraps per inch (bulky weight). For this yarn I dyed up some Falkland wool into several different fall colors (oranges, yellows, greens, and tans), blended them together on the drum carder, and then spun them up into this singles yarn. Each batt contained all of the colors, so you get a nice blend throughout. I set the twist in warm water with a touch of lavender Eucalan added to the rinse. No matter what your favorite color is, there's a good chance that it's in this yarn. I had ordered a variety pack of really soft Merino, and just started grabbing away as I carded. There are over 40 different colors of Merino in this one yarn! I also carded in dyed Lincoln locks, Mohair locks, and bamboo, along with some Angelina for sparkle. I corespun the fiber around a black cotton crochet thread. There are two skeins with a total of approximately 112 yards (102.4 meters), 4.1 ounces (116 grams), at about 5-6 wraps per inch (bulky weight).
