These I make to order, so just tell me if you want brights, girly, or earthy tones and I'll go from there. You get 3 soft blocks, each side of which is a different fabric with a different texture. Each block makes a noise of some sort--rattle, squeak, bell, crinkle--and all are totally washable. Wee ribbon tags hang off here and there as babies have some kind of weird peer-pressure obsession with labels and tags. They come in a stuff sack for that incredibly wonderful game of Putting Things In And Then Taking Them Out Again. Known later as "The Ol' In-Out" which is how you got that baby in the first place.

This poultry-bedecked bag has pockets on either end, big enough to hold your iphone or your big ol' wad of keys (that's really bad for your ignition, though, you know). Look how cute! You just know that any cookies you make while wearing these will be extra yummy. Even if your little helper tosses in a tablespoon of salt rather than a teaspoon. I make these to order, so you need to give me at least a week. If you want a certain fabric, it can take longer if I have to special order it. I can make a child's version of the other style I have listed. You are also welcome to pitch me your dream apron idea. Price listed is for the style shown, most others will be less, these just take a lot of fabric and a metric buttload of bias tape.

Note that on the child's apron, I can add buttons in the middle so that it can start shorter and then "grow" with the child. I can leave those off, if you prefer.

It's not barkcloth, but an incredible simulation! The fabric has a vintage kitchen-curtains look in soft 1940s colors. There are pockets on the ends to hold your cell phone and keys (but they're too narrow for an iphone. Sorry hipsters. You can put the iphone in the fabulous interior pocket, which also has a slot for a pen). Groovy belt around the whole thing, which you could--if you desired--tighten or loosen. bottom has stiff interfacing so that it holds its shape when loaded. The rest of the bag is very lightly interfaced. Magnetic snap closures on bag body and on side pockets. Bag measures 12" x 12" x not quite 3". Straps are 31" long.

Isn't "co-ed" such a Nancy Drew word? It just evokes straight wool skirts and cardigans. This bag is made of vintage fabric my mom had laying about from her college days in the very early 60s. Mad Men fabric! The exterior feels like wool or a wool blend, the inside is cotton. So I'd dry clean it if it gets dirty, don't chance the machine. There's a pocket and a big ol' vintage wooden button on the front. There's a pocket on the inside, too, with a pen slot. It's kind of hard to tell in the photos, but the exterior is a subtle plaid. It's really wrinkle resistant b/c my other bags got creased to high heaven when I packed up after my last show and this one came out fresh as a daisy. Bag measures 14" wide, 11" tall. Strap is 29" long.

I hand-pieced this baby, so it took a lot of time. But the results are quite stunning, I think. There are pockets with magnetic snaps on either end, perfect for a cell phone or keys or sunglasses. Fleece Hot Water Bottle covers

Yes, hot water bottles. Yes, those things your grandma put in her bed to warm it at night. I cannot over-emphasize how much I love my hot water bottle. I fill it with super hot water and stick it under my covers at the foot of my bed. When I come to bed, there's a warm spot for my footsies! yay! And I bring the bottle up to snuggle with me until I fall asleep. At that point I kick it out of bed b/c it has become too warm, but that falling-asleep part? Bliss. Also wonderous for holding on your lap while you read in your under-heated drafty old house. Or is that just me? Anyway, the fleece makes it both snuggly AND warm. Like a cat that stays where you want it to and doesn't pee on the rug or make you sneeze.

I have most of the fabrics pictured here. I'm out of the cloud print, but still have the monkeys on clouds. The green tie-dye is gone, but I have a solid green of a similar shade as well as solid red, solid blue, and solid orange. And I might have other stuff, just let me know in a note when you check out.
