Kiss Me Honey, Honey

$70.00
Pendant made from silver and found objects, reflecting the loss of honeybees from the British countryside.

The top section is made from a discarded beer-bottle top found in a field in Sussex, set in silver with a bronze back-plate which shows through a honeycomb pattern. The bottle-top shows an idyllic British country scene with a church, but it is fading and corroding... The bottom section is made from silver and a piece of printed tin from the lid of a honey jar and both are set with tiny brass bees which came from an abandoned jewellery factory in Birmingham.

Something beautiful to wear, inspired by some anonymous idiot who thinks it is OK to throw down waste in a field on the Sussex Downs.

Mechanically Reclaimed - Partially Reconstituted, A Steampunk Pendant

$140.00
Pendant made from a crushed cast-iron fire hose valve control, sterling silver and a very large and bright blue topaz. The blue topaz is about 12mm square and the whole pendant has a diameter of about 8cm (3"). Although this pendant looks heavy, it is, in fact, reasonably light.

The fire hose valve control was found in a derelict tram-works in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Offered for sale without a chain, allowing you to wear it on the chain of your choice, cord or leather.

St Julien Of Antioch - Pendant/Wall Hanging

$60.00
Made from a vintage ceramic doll's body, bronze from a cracked "Paiste" cymbal, silver, printed steel from a tobacco tin, a 1950s glass cabochon, antique pen-nibs, copper chain and a brass stamping.

The piece can be worn as a pendant - there is a bail on the back for a chain - but while robust enough, the pen-nibs and ceramic element make this a piece for occasional wear, hence the alternate listing as a "wall hanging".

As the pendant is made entirely from recycled material, I cannot give any guide to the composition of the metals used. It is therefore possibly not suitable for people with metal allergies.

Other information:

The pen-nibs are from an Edwardian box of 100, made for the Bank of England;
The ceramic doll's body was found in a junk-shop in Brighton;
The "St Julien" is from a tobacco box in my workshop which used to hold lathe tools;
The glass cabochon and brass-stamping came from an abandoned jewellery factory in Birmingham.

Homage To Calder - Pendant

$120.00
Experimental pendant made entirely from steel and glass inspired by the work of Alexander Calder.

The pendant chain is about 80cm long (32") and is entirely hand-fabricated from hand-made roofing-nails, 17th century iron rivet-heads (see detail photograph), found washers and iron wire. It is set with sea-glass from the Isle of Wight, a tektite (glass from a meteorite) and a piece of shattered antique blue glass found on the site of the now-derelict Leith Tram Works.

The iron components have been lightly waxed with bees' wax to help seal them. As with all iron jewellery, it will change with wear, smoothing and darkening.

As the pendant is made entirely from recycled material, I cannot give any guide to the composition of the steel used. It is therefore possibly not suitable for people with metal allergies
