In my opinion, Love is Love.
So give this card to your loved one to show your support, because they make you feel all “swirly” inside, for a birthday, anniversary, Valentine’s day, or just because. Heck, maybe they just like rainbows and hearts. :)

A rainbow of embroidery threads has been used to sew the heart into the card, which measures 4x5.5 inches. The inside of the card has been lined with cheery yellow paper, which in it's former life lived as a notebook divider (yay for upcycling!) and has been left blank so that you may write your own greeting. As always, an envelope is included.

As with snowflakes and fingerprints, no two hearts are exactly alike.

My “I Miss You” card does not carry with it a tracking device, guilt trips or false accusations, but instead states quite colorfully (and with a sequin- holla!) that their presence is missed. The deep gold colored paper that the letters are mounted on is a little shiny, which I have tried to capture in the last picture.

The almost bright orange, textured card measures 4.25x5.5 inches. The inside has been left blank so that you may write your own greeting. An envelope is included.

This quirky garden is perfect for just about any occassion.

Each stem and bloom are upcycled/recycled bits of paper: a blue and white security envelope from a credit card company and card stock from previous projects. As you can see, not every piece is perfect, but each piece belongs here perfectly.

Four willowy flowers from the future. How do I know they are from the future? Because they are shiny and everything is shiny in the future. (“The future’s so bright, I gotta wear shades.”) Not just lyrics, but firsthand knowledge.

Anyway, enough about time travel and the future.

As with most of my cards, there are elements of recycling/upcycling going on. The stems are leftover green card stock from previous projects and the white paper in the flower is computer paper from work that was destined for the recycle bin. The inside of the card is lined with leftover paper from a friend’s project. The sequins, alas, cannot claim any kind of recycled element to them. The stinkers.

Textured tan card measures 4.25x5.5 inches and, as always, the inside has been left blank so that you may write your own greeting.

Yep. I love this card. Enough to write a haiku for it. (And I did, but it wasn’t very good, so I left it out.) Strips of pale mint green card stock make up the trunk and branches. Each branch has been split at the end. While secure, the branches are not completely attached to the card at the split.

The card is a nice chocolate brown and textured. (The inside is white.) It measures 4.25x5.5 inches and, as always, the inside has been left blank so that you may write your own greeting.

If flowers can have a rock n’ roll vibe, then these would be the ones to have it. Bright fuchsia flowers with black and white stems are laid out on a bright egg yolk-yellow card. Quite eye popping.

The fuchsia tissue paper has a floral pattern that is rather abstract looking in this setting. The stems on these flowers were cut from a magazine article about Tim Gunn, everyone’s favorite Project Runway personality.

Both the magazine and tissue paper are recycled from gifts from friends. Yay!

A sweet little fantasy forest. I imagine there are -very tiny gnome homes nestled up against the trunk of each tree. I love the bright, mismatched colors.

Giving a giftcard as a gift is an awkward business. I never know if I should put it in with the card or just plop it on top of the envelope. I don’t want to spend alot of money on little cardboard boxes or giftbags made specifically for the gift card, either!

My solution is to give them in a little origami envelope. The envelope becomes a pretty little gift box that requires no tape or ribbons. It looks pretty sitting on top of the envelope with the (birthday, anniversary, holiday) card. Your recipient still gets to open a gift and the element of surprise is still there!

This pretty floral wrapping paper is what remains of wrapping paper I purchased 7 years ago for a wedding. It was so pretty that I just couldn't get rid of it! The background paper is packaging filler, the petals are scrap Envelopements paper (red and gold) given to me by a friend and from an envelope for a birthday card that I received (green). The stem is from a security envelope that my paycheck comes in! While the petals and stem are securely attached, I have left the edges unsecured for a nice visual effect.

The collage measures 5x7 inches and is frame ready.

The petals have been rounded up and the leaf does not lay flat. These both give the collage some dimension.
