This very small barrette is called "A Little Barrette, A Lot of Love". It will be placed in a handmade card with that saying in the title.

This barrette is made of a royal blue faceted glass heart in the center flanked with the same heart in light blue on either side. (Note: The right hand heart is picking up refracted light from the center heart. It is actually light blue.)

A silver feather charm is suspended to give positve energy to the wearer and to remind them of the "love" in the barrette.

The barrette measures just 1 1/4 inches long by 3/8 inches wide.

Hearts have a special meaning for me. My great great great great great Grandmother's name was Ghi-Goo-ie. This translates from Cherokee to English as "Sweetheart".

These Sweet Heart earrings are made from red enameled metal hearts accented with white polka dots. A feather charm was added to bring positive energy to the wearer.

The Sweet Heart measures 1 1/4 inches wide at the widest point and 1 1/4 inches long. The surgical steel earwire adds an additional 1/2 inch to the total drop making them 1 3/4 inches long.

These beautiful earrings were beaded by me from a pattern designed by Mary Kodiak. They are done in high quality Delica beads.

The top portion of the earrings measures 1 1/2 inches long and 1 inch wide. The fringe adds 2 inches and the ear wire adds another 1/2 inch to the total length. This makes the "total drop" 4 inches long.

The beads selected are shades of gray, 3 shades of rose, black bugle beads and 2.5 mm silver plated bead for accent.

In Native American culture, the wolf is the pathfinder. To symbolize this, a paw print has been added to the fringe.

The wolf is the forerunner of new ideas and returns to the clan to teach and share his/her medicine. The wolf is the symbol for psychic energy or the unconscious that holds the secrets of knowledge and wisdom.

Native American Fetish Necklace (Frog Medicine Necklace)

In many Native American cultures, frog medicine represents the cleansing properties of water and rain to bring about renewal of the body and spirit.

The beautiful necklace was designed to honor the frog who sees a need and ribets his song. It is heard by the birds who deliver the song to the Thunder Beings. The Thunder Beings and Father Sky bring the support and cleansing needed for renewal.

The centerpiece frog featured in this necklace is hand carved whale bone from Alaska. The tree of life birds are shell fetishes. The colors used, red, black and white, are three of the four colors from the medicine wheel. The foundation beads are seed beads and Delicas.

The primary necklace is 30 inches long. The inner necklace is 20 inches from joining point to joining point. The frog is 1 1/2 inches long by 7/8's inches wide. No clasp is required as the necklace fits easily over the head.

Native American Winter Medicine Bracelet

This beautiful bracelet was handwoven using Herringbone stitch. It was designed especially for those born during the winter moons of the Native American Medicine Wheel.

If your birthday is between December 22 and January 19, you were born during the Earth Renewal Moon. If your birthday is between January 20 and February 20, you were born during the Rest and Cleansing Moon.

I have taken the traditional, modern and zodiac birthstones and metals for these moons and combined them in this bracelet. These would include garnet, amethyst, ruby, quartz and silver.

The bracelet shown is 7 3/4" long and 3/4" wide. It is beaded with a variety of bead sizes and colors. The clasp is a .925 sterling silver toggle.

This beautiful hand beaded necklace is a tribute to the midnight sky. The "midnight sky" is of two shades of blue and is studded with silver representing the twinkling stars on a crystal clear night.

There are 13 large (1 1/2" by 7/8")motifs separated by 16 small motifs. The necklace is 19" long and 1 7/8" wide.

The base of the necklace is cystal seed beads. The toggle clasp is .925 sterling silver.

While beading the first pair of these earrings that I ever made, I envisioned them on an tall, stately blonde wearing them with her wardroble staple, the "little black dress". The person who purchased them was a 4" 11 inch Native American woman about 80 years old. I had to chuckle at myself! The moral to the story is that these earrings appeal to anyone who is daring enough to wear long, elegant earrings!

The eagle is a highly respected bird in Native American culture. Their feathers are prized and honored. The awarding of an eagle feather is a tribute of great honor.

I have beaded these earrings as a tribute to the eagle.

One of my "treasures" is a signed and numbered print of an eagle done by the renowned Seminole artist, Enoch Kelly Haney as a part of his bicentinial wild life series. The fourth picture in this listing is to show this treasure and my inspiration. It is, of course, not included in this offering.

The earrings are beaded in Delica beads with brown bugle beads and turquoise glass beads. The beaded portions of the earrings are 3 inches long. The ear wire adds an additional half inch. They are 1 1/2 inches wide at the widest point. Due to the small size of the beads they are very light weight for their size and are comfortable to wear.

These earrings can be made with any color of back ground and/or accent beads that you would like. I have chosen turquoise to represent the sky, but can make them differently if you would like. Just send me a convo with your needs.

They are beaded using traditional brick stitch and high quality Delica beads. The fringe features gorgeous long blue bugle beads with a "rainbow" finish giving an irredescent shimmer. The fringe is tipped with white E beads.

The design for this beautiful bracelet was inspired by a piece that I saw in a museum years and years ago.

It was made on my trusty loom. The beadwork measures 6 3/8 inches long and 1 inch wide. The hand beaded toggle and loop closure adds 1 inch to the overall length making it fit wrists up to 7 3/8 inches.

This is a beautiful split loom necklace that features a stylized version of the Celtic Design "Dara". The name Dara comes from the word "doire," which is the Irish word for "oak tree."

The beaded focal piece of this necklace is a red Dara on a background of black Delica beads. A gold "moon" shining through represents your "center".

The focal portion measures 1 7/8 inches wide and 4 inches long from the top to the bottom of the center fringe bead.

The fringe is made of black Delica Beads. 30 fringes end with a black tear drop bead. The center fringe is made of a 4mm black bead, 6 mm gold bead, and ends with an 8 mm black bead.

The necklace is of 8 strands of black Delica beads. It is 23 inches long. The necklace fastener is a black 8 mm Czech glass bead and hand beaded loop.

My Great great great great great Grandmother was named Ghi-Goo-ie (Sweetheart, in Cherokee). She married a Scotsman. Thus the link from my Native American heritage to the use of celtic designs.

Oaks were considered sacred to the Celts, particularly the Druids who could translate the language of trees into profound and meaningful messages applicable to the lives of their clans. This language also provided insight into the meanings of the universe relating to their reality.

Native American Bumps in the Road Bracelet

This bracelet was beaded by Joni Stinson, Creek-Cherokee, and named "Bumps In The Road".

As we proceed through the journey of life, our paths may be interrupted from time to time by "Bumps in the Road". Not all of the "bumps" (or obstacles)are ugly and are just a part of the trip!

The bracelet is beaded in Ndebele stitch using turquoise metalic Delica beads and silver metal bead "bumps".

It is adjustable to fit wrist sizes 7 inches to 8 inches due to the lobster claw clasp and 1 1/4 inch chain.

It features feather charms to "smudge" away negative energy along the trail and get us over the bumps!

You may have heard that Indians don't like cameras and photographing is said to take one's soul/spirit away. In this case, it took away the silver color and gave it a gold appearance. The clasp, chain, and feathers are in fact silver. It must be true!

Native American Turquoise and Silver Earrings

These beautiful earrings are tear drop hoops made from stablized small turquoise nuggets. The nuggets are warmed with both copper and black matrix. They are separated using silver plated metal beads.

Please note that the turquoise color in the center picture is truer to the actual stones. The photograph is "bluer" than the actual piece.

The earwires are made of surgical steel with wrapped wire and ball beads.

The turquoise portion of the earrings is 2 inches long and slightly more than 1 inch wide at the widest point of the tear drop. The earwires will bring the total drop of the earrings to 2 1/2 inches.

These affordable turquoise earrings will look great with either casual or dressy outfits.

BUYER BEWARE: The market is flooded with "turquoise" that may or may not be what you are told. In buying turquoise, one must have some knowledge of turquoise characteristics and purchase only from a reputable dealer.

The following will explain some of the differences in turquoise and help you determine if you are paying for what you are getting:

STABLIZED TURQUOISE (This is like these earrings)
Stablized turquoise has been treated with epoxies or acrylic resins. The chemicals are infused into the turquoise by soaking the material for a long period of time, or by subjecting it to pressure.

ENHANCED TURQUOISE
Enhanced turquoise has been treated with chemicals, then heated. The heating process eliminates any residual chemicals in the turquoise. Therefore, it is difficult to tell the difference between enhanced turquoise and natural, untreated turquoise. Unlike natural turquoise, enhanced turquoise usually does not turn green over time.

NATURAL PROCESS TURQUOISE
The Natural Process is a new and exciting enhancement process for turquoise. Natural Processed turquoise has been treated with completely non-toxic chemicals. This process improves the polish and color of turquoise rough, without any dyes or nasty chemicals. If Natural Process turquiose is soaked in water for 24 hours, it is impossible to detect the difference between it and natural, untreated turquoise. Natural Processed turquoise is therefore the least invasive and highest grade of treatment available for turquiose. Unlike natural turquoise, Natural Processed turquoise will not turn green over time.

NATURAL TURQUOISE
As you might assume, this turquoise has not been treated in anyway other than polishing. If subjected to water, natural turquoise, a soft stone, will have changes in color.

RECONSTITUTED OR CHALK TURQUOISE
Reconstituted turquoise is natural, or previously stabilized material that has been pulverized into a powder, soaked in binders and then pressed back into a solid block. Reconstituted turquoise cuts easier than stabilized material, but has a lower value. Lapis, coral and other semi-precious gems can also be reconstituted.

BLOCK, IMITATION, OR "FAUX" TURQUOISE
None of these are real turquoise. Instead, it is a simulant made from plastic, ceramic, dyed lesser quality gem stones, or other material. Other semi-precious stones, such as malachite, lapis, charoite, etc. are also frequently simulated with block materials .

Remember to only purchase turquoise (or other gem stone items) from a dealer you can count on to tell the truth.

Bold Native American Shoulder Duster Earrings

These earrings are not for the timid!

At a Pow Wow we attended this fall, a woman requested that I make a pair of earrings for her regalia. She sketched out the design she wanted and gave me her colors. I made the earrings for her. When I do regalia work, the design is never duplicated in the colors of the original piece. With the permission of the purchaser, it is sometimes done in a different color.

She had no problem with the design being replicated and here it is.

The earrings are done in brick stitch using both bugle and seed beads. The colors are irridescent midnight blue, pink, gold iris, and silver.

As I said, these are bold! The beaded portion measures 5 1/4 inches long and is 1 inch at the widest point. The surgical steel ear wires will add an additional 1/2 inch to the drop.

Ghi-Goo-ie (Sweet Heart in Cherokee) Dream Catcher

Ghi-Goo-ie translates from Cherokee to English as Sweet Heart. Ghi-Goo-ie was also my great great great great great great Grandmother's name.

These Ghi-Goo-ie Dream Catchers are available in the traditional red with red feathers, in purple with purple feathers or natural saddle tan with orange feathers.

The Ghi-Goo-ie Dream Catcher has an overall length of 21 inches. The central heart is 7 inches long and 6 3/4 inches wide. The 3 smaller hearts are 2 inches long and 2 inches wide. Each small heart is finished with a suede wrap thong, beads, and feathers.

The webs are woven with gold colored thread and accented with a variety of colors using pony beads. Colorful feathers are added for movement, texture, and fun.

Dream Catchers are popular in Native American cultures based on the following legend and would be a great alternative for the traditional shape!

The Legend of the Dreamcatcher

"A spider was quietly spinning his web in his own space. It was beside the sleeping space of Nokomis, the grandmother.

Each day, Nokomis watched the spider at work, quietly spinning away. One day as she was watching him, her grandson came in. "Nokomis-iya!" he shouted, glancing at the spider. He stomped over to the spider, picked up a shoe and went to hit it.

"No-keegwa," the old lady whispered, "don't hurt him."

"Nokomis, why do you protect the spider?" asked the little boy. The old lady smiled, but did not answer.

When the boy left, the spider went to the old woman and thanked her for saving his life. He said to her, "For many days you have watched me spin and weave my web. You have admired my work. In return for saving my life, I will give you a gift."

Ghi-Goo-ie was my great,great,great,great,great,great grandmother's name. She was also the grandmother of the famous Principle Chief of the Cherokees, John Ross. Her name translates from Cherokee to "Sweetheart".

This bracelet represents my Fantasy Garden. Since my thumbs are not green, I have to bead my flowers.

This beautiful bracelet is done in two parts. A base of crystal seed beads was first done and then the wonderfully colored bead flowers and pearls were applied to the base layer. It is almost like making two bracelets.

The last two photos were taken of the back side show you can see the crystal "structure" and snap fasteners.

The bracelet measures 8 inches tip to tip and would fit a 7-7 1/2 inch wrist. The closure is done with snaps which overlap the end by approximately 1/2 inch. The bracelet is 1 1/4 inches wide.

The flowers are done in pink, raspberry, aqua, gold, and purple with vintage pearl centers. They are accented with several shades of green leaves.

This is a stunningly beautiful bracelet. It is also very unique.

As we proceed through the journey of life, our paths may be interrupted from time to time by "Bumps in the Road". Not all of the "bumps" (or obstacles)are ugly and are just a part of the trip!

The bracelet is beaded in Ndebele stitch using raspberry Delica beads and silver metal bead "bumps".

It is adjustable to fit wrist sizes 6 3/4 inches to 8 inches due to the lobster claw clasp and 1 1/4 inch chain.

Counting Coup (word adopted from the French) was a means of a Native American warrior keeping track of his acts of valor in combat.

I hope the ancestors will please forgive the liberty I have taken with the true essence of "counting coup". It just seemed an appropriate name for this little turquoise bracelet.

The "sets" of turquoise beads are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. The round stabilized turquoise beads are 3 mm each and are separated by 3 mm silver plated beads. A sturdy lobster claw clasp is attached to better assure safety.

The bracelet is strung on flexible beading wire and is 5 inches long.

I couldn't resist thinking about "1 little, 2 little, 3 little Indians" as I was stringing it.

The white buffalo is a special animal in Native American culture. I designed and beaded these earrings as a tribute to the "Legend of The White Buffalo.

They are beautifully done in brick stitch. The beaded buffalo portrait is done in Delica beads. The over-all dimension of the earrings (excluding the ear wire) is 3 7/8 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. The ear wires are hypo-allergenic stainless steel.

Please note that while the ear wires and metallic beads at the end of the fringe appear to be gold, they are actually silver. There is something about Indians and cameras! ha

This is a bold bracelet woven from 60 natural pyrite rectangle beads, 10 faceted natural smokey quartz beads and edged with 58 natural faceted round smokey quartz beads. The structure is waxed and braided cotton cord.

The original bracelet was designed by Mary Morton. She called it the Tank Bracelet due to its resemblance to the treads on a military tank.

I made my version of this design as I love both pyrite and smokey quartz (sometimes incorrectly called smokey topaz). Together they are a real show stopper!

The "beaded" portion of the bracelet is 5 inches long and 2 inches wide. The overall length is 7 inches long. However, I can custom make the bracelet to meet your wrist requirements. Just send me a convo.

Native American Wampum Bracelet

This bracelet is an artistic translation of "wampum". The major beads are white jade as opposed to shell (the true wampum bead).

"Wampum" beads were beautiful mediums for solemnizing agreements, as a mnemonic aid for remembering content and events, and since Indian people always seemed to be giving wampum to people, it was viewed to be local money. They entered into trade with wampum. The color and size of the wampum determined the value.

This symbolic "wampum" beads on this bracelet are 8 mm natural white jade and are individually linked with a mix of traditional native colored seed beads done in chains. It would be possible to cut off one link while the others remain intact.

The bracelet measures 8" long and 5/8" wide. It can be custom made to any length you need. It is easily fastened with a magnetic clasp. The magnets are very strong making the bracelet safe to wear.

Native American Beaded Necklace and Earrings (Split Loom The Owl)

This split loom neckace was woven on a 42 inch loom built for me by my husband. It is loomed using thousands of high quality Delica seed beads.

The fringe on the necklace has Delica seed beads, blue and amber E beads, Crystal Quartz, and Natural Baltic Amber chip stones in varying sizes.

The necklace measures 21 ¼ inches from the nape of the neck to the lost bead on the longest fringe. The owl “pendant” measures 3 ¾ inches wide and 4 ¾ inches long. The earrings are 3 inches long and 1 inch wide (depending on where you measure).

Countless hours were put into this piece.

The Owl is often referred to as the Night Eagle. It is feared by some and revered by others.

This 3 bead brick stitch necklace was designed by Carole Collier and beaded by Joni Stinson, Creek-Cherokee.

The Thunderbird is frequently used in Native American Designs. In many tribes, the Thunderbird is the symbol for salvation and divine gifts.

The Thunderbird has special significance for Joni as it is the symbol used by the Oklahoma's 45th Division. Though Joni lives in Nebraska, there is a song verse that goes, "I'm Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die I'll be Sooner Dead". She beaded this thunderbird necklace as a tribute to Oklahoma and 45th Division.

The beaded "chain" of the necklace measures 24 inches. The "thunderbird pendant is 4 1/4 inches (including dangles) X 2 1/4 inches. No clasp is required as the necklace goes easily over the head.

The use of Delica beads give this necklace a smaller scale than those previously beaded from this same pattern.

Texture is provided to the necklace by the use of transparent crystal, matte turquoise, dark blue iris, and gold metallic Delica seed beads. The "dangles" are made of matching seed beads, bugle beads and 3 mm blue iris drops.

This beautiful bracelet is made from turquoise colored seed bead, turquoise triangle beads, and crystal seed beads.

These patriotic beaded earrings are designed to show the American Eagle on a field of red, white, and blue...Old Glory.

They are beaded in brick stitch. The beads for the diamond portion are red, white, blue, gold, and black for the eagle eye. The fringe is made of red and white seed beads, blue bugle beads and are tipped with oval pearl beads. The ear wires are gold toned hypoallergenic metal.

They are dramatic! Including the ear wire, the drop is just short of 5 inches. At the widest part of the diamond, the earring is just a little under 1 1/2 inches.

Native American Santo Domingo Inlay Earrings

These beautiful inlay earrings were made by Ernestine Ortiz, Santo Domingo pueblo. They are an elongated trapazoid in shape. The inlay stones are of turquoise, sugalite (purple), black onyx and white onyx.

The earrings measure 1 1/4 inches long and 1/2 inch at the widest part of the base. The sterling silver ear wires add 1/2 inch to give a total drop of 1 3/4 inches.

The design is slightly "Mondrian" in feel. At least it reminds me of the work of this famous painter from the Netherlands.

These earrings would be a wonderful addition to your jewelry wardrobe.

The are beaded in brick stitch. Black matte Delica beads were used for the body and shiney red Delicas make his/her ribbon.

The beaded portion of each earring is 1 3/4 inches tall and he/she is also 1 3/4 inches wide. The surgical steel earwires add an additional 1/2 inch to the overall drop.

You may wonder what is the nexus between a Scottie Dog and a Native American. There was much inter-marriage between Scottish traders and Native Americans. My ancestorial tree includes McDonald"s and McIntosh's

This striking choker is both a tribute to the Legend of the Apache Tears and dragonfly medicine. This legend of the Apache Tears can be viewed at this website: http://www.llewellynencyclopedia.com/term.php?id=70

It is beaded in 2 drop peyote stitch and netting using red, black, and white beads in several sizes. The tear drops are representative of Apache Tears. Actual Apache Tears are black obsidian and these are of high quality Czech glass.

The clasp is an antiqued pewter filigree dragonfly resting on a floral scroll. Dragonfly medicine is described in this poem by Jamie Sams:

This is a very simple beaded necklace that will look great with all of your casual wear. It is beaded onto wire with wire worked beaded dangles.

The seed beads are royal blue, gold, and bronze.

The necklace is 16 1/2 inches long but can be expanded to 19 1/2 inches long due to the 3 inch chain and lobster claw clasp.

Native American Beaded Necklace (Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Fire)

This piece placed third in a Beadweavers Challenge Competition! The theme was "Fire and Flowers". With so many entries, I was pleased with my placement.

This is a departure from my usual Native American inspired beading. Usually my beading comes from inspiration from within. Not suggested by external forces. However, one needs an occassional challenge and since fire is involved here...I think maybe the Devil made me do it! ha

The Ball of Fire with Flowers is beaded with red, several shades of orange, and yellow seed beads. It is done in peyote stitch and fringe. The flowers and leaves are Czech pressed glass. The necklace portion is three strands. One strand is red Indian leather, one is a gold tone figaro chain, and the third is from the same beads as the Ball of Fire and Flowers.

The Ball of Fire and Flowers is approximately 2" in diameter. The necklace is 22" long and can be expanded to 24" long. The fastener is a lobster claw clasp and chain.
Two "charm" dangles are attached to the end of the chain fastener.

This "serentity bracelet" has been a popular item and it can be custom made with symbolic gemstones of your choosing.

This "Serenity Bracelet" is so named as it is meant to bring you serentity on particularily stressful days.

Native Americans perform a purifying ceremony called "smudging". Sage, cedar, lemon grass or other botanicals of choice are burned in a prayer bowl or abalone shell. Feathers are used to waft the smoke around to remove negative energy.

The prayer box on the bracelet is where you actually or mentally place a problem, totem, stone, or treasure to represent your thoughts and prayers. The hinged box opens to receive small items.

The bracelet is wrapped around the wrist and is worn so that the gold toned feathers and prayer box rest on top of the hand. This bracelet was inspired by the 7 recycled glass beads that I purchased from http://www.soulofsomanya.net/
While they are African made, I thought they had a "Native American" feel and I had to have some of them.

They are called Krobo beads. Each of the 7 Krobo beads are separated by 32 hand beaded "ruffles" made of orange, navy blue,yellow, and red seed beads. The "ruffles" are separated by larger seed beads.

The bracelet will fit wrists from 7 inches to 9 inches due to the lobster clasp and extender chain. A little "hand made" charm has been added to add charm to this colorful bracelet.

This is a multi-cultural bracelet that is both eye catching and unique!

These oxidized sterling silver cross earrings feauture two beautifully matched 6 mm (slightly less than 1/4 inch) fiery opals.

These beautiful earrings feature the lonely Native American warrior at the end of the trail. This famous image has been captured in silhouette style in very tiny hex Delica beads.

These earrings are 2 1/2 inches long. The silver ear wire gives them a total drop of 3 inches. The earring is approximately 1 1/2 inches wide at the broadest point.

The fringes is looped hex and seed beads.

The background is a metallic aqua that continues into the fringe. The black beads of the warrior and horse also continue into the looped fringe.

Native American Picasso Necklace

I named this necklace "Picasso" because Picasso was one of the creators of the "Cubism" art movement popular in Paris. This necklace features silver glass cubes.

The Cubist painters rejected the concept that art should copy nature, or that they should adopt the traditional techniques of perspective, modeling, and foreshortening. They wanted instead to emphasize the two-dimensionality of the canvas. So they reduced and fractured objects into geometric forms, and then realigned these within a shallow, relief-like space.

The relief space of my "Picasso" necklace is provided by traditional bead work using pearlized turquoise seed beads. The closure to the necklace is a handbeaded ball and loop.

The inner dimension of the necklace is 18 inches. The "drop" measurement is 20 inches. The beaded chain is 5/16's" wide. The necklace has 40 4mm silver glass cubes.

This is a beautiful piece combining beadwork stitches in a style that is contemporary with techniques that are ancient.

This lapel pin features a hand painted ceramic heart attached to a lapel pin fastener. It is a geometric Native American design with a copper back ground, turquoise and blue horizontal designs, and black center designs. It is punctuated with a touch of pink.

Ghi-Goo-ie was my great,great,great,great,great,great grandmother's name. She was also the grandmother of the famous Principle Chief of the Cherokees, John Ross. Her name translates from Cherokee to "Sweetheart".

I use her name for my business enterprise and for the heart shaped items I design.

This lapel pin measures just short of 3 1/4 inches long and 3/4 " wide at the heart's "shoulders".

All That Glitters Is Not Gold Necklace

This bold and beautiful necklace is made of seed beads, goldstone beads and goldstone chips. Goldstone has no symbolic meaning in Native American culture as it is a man made product. However, this should not preclude its use as it can be worn for its pure beauty!

Goldstone is glass made by subjecting copper and copper salts to heat. The process was discovered in Venice by the Minotti family in the 17th century. Goldstone is also called Monk's Stone, Monk's Gold, or Stellaria. It is a beautiful gold flecked glass bead and is not a natural mineral but beautiful never the less!

The "necklace" portion of the piece is 25 inches long. The "dangle" portion is 4 inches. The combination of chip beads, round beads and seed beads add great interest to this necklace.

Open Heart Crystal Earrings (by Ghi-Goo-ie Designs)

These beautiful crystal heart earrings were made by first making a wire wrapped armature in a "open heart" configuration.

Once the armature was developed, it was encased with crystal seed beads using brick stitch and finished with a 5 mm flat crystal bead in the center.

The beaded and wire wrapped portion of the earrings measures close to 7/8 inch long and 1 inch wide. The hypo-nonallergic earring wires add approximately 1/2 inch to the total drop.

Heart shaped items are special to me. The name of my store is Ghi-Goo-ie Designs. Ghi-Goo-ie means Sweet Heart in Cherokee. It was also the name of my great great great great great great Grandmother.

I hope these earrings honor her and that you will add them to your collection of heart shaped items.

Just in time for the Holiday Season! These hand beaded Christmas wreaths can add a touch of cheer to your festive holiday wardrobe.

The "greenery" is are wrapped in bright red with a few silver ornaments to cap them off. They are made of red bugle beads, green and silver seed beads. The flash makes some of the beads appear orange...they are all red!

Flores de Noche Buena Choker Necklace

At the request of a friend, I designed and beaded this necklace. She wanted it as a gift for her daughter who has a florist shop here in Omaha.

The necklace comes with a copy of the "Legend of the Poinsettia". It is a beautiful story of Pepita, a poor Mexican girl who had no gift to present to the Christ Child at Christmas services.

The beaded poinsettia focal pendant is beaded using brick stich and high quality Delica beads. The center is "3D" in gold.

The beaded poinsettia is 2 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide.

The necklace is beaded memory wire. It is made of gold bugle beads with red and green accent beads. The wire is 19 inches long and requires no closure. It will conform to the neck of the wearer.

Matching earrings are available in another listing.

These poinsettia earrings were designed at the request of on of my friends whose daughter owns a florist shop. I made them for her and included a copy of the "Legend of the Poinsettia" to make them even more special. It is a wonderful legend!

The earrings are beaded in brick stitch using shades of red and green high quality Delica beads. The center is "3D" in gold. The ear wire is gold toned surgical steel.

The beaded portion of the earring from tip to stem is 2 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide. The ear wire will add approximately 1/2 inch to the total drop.

Some Native Americans believe that the butterfly's power comes from its kinship with the air. It symbolizes the power of transformation as the butterfly makes many transformation before spreading its beautiful wings and taking flight.

This beautiful cuff bracelet was beaded on a loom, mounted on a strong metal base and then backed with soft leather.
The yellow, orange, and black butterfly spreads its wings on a field of pink. It is further accented with red, orange, black beads.

The cuff is 6 1/2 inches around and 3/4 inches wide. The "gap" between the cuff ends is 1 inch. It can be formed to fit the average wrist.

The beautiful bracelet was hand loomed on my loom. It is made of various shades of blue into purple seed beads. The closure is unique. It features a frosted blue lucite flower centered with an amethyst Swarovski crystal.

The 2 pieces of the trailer hitch clasp circle around the base of the flower for closure. This is a very simple clasp that is easy to close.

The beaded portion of the bracelet is 7 inches long and 2 inches wide. The clasp adds an additional 1/2 inch.

Native American Southwestern Tile Bracelet

This bracelet was inspired by Julie Smith of Angel Lamp Beads. She developed the concept in her bracelet pattern called "Christmas in Taos". This is my take on her original design.

The pattern reminds me of the beautiful tile work I have seen all over the American Southwest. It is made from white, deep blue, red, yellow, green and turquoise Delica beads. The bracelet edges are accented with a turquoise "picot" trim.

This bracelet will comfortably fit wrist sizes from 7 to 8 1/2 inches. The bead work is 6 3/4 inches long and just under 1 inch wide. The flexible size is attributed to the lobster claw clasp and the 2 inches of chain.

This would be a stunning addition to your Native American jewelry collection.

Native American Beaded Cross Necklace (Purple)

The inspiration for this beautiful hand beaded cross came from one of my wonderful customers who requested one to be given as a gift to his friend. Since I did not have a beaded cross in my inventory, I began to ponder the direction I would take.

Always up for a challenge, I designed one like this for him. It is done in beautiful purple iris Delica beads, a lighter shade of purple seed beads and is highlighted with ameythyt faceted beads. The cross is 2 inches long and 1 7/8 inches wide.

The necklace does not require a clasp. It is 30 inches long and will easily fit over ones head.

The "necklace" portion is beaded using the same Delica beads, seed beads and faceted amethyst beads.

This is a unique piece that is sure to please.
