This is a new line of yarn I’m starting called Blank Stare Productions. I get sock blanks and stare at them until I see what I want to paint, then I’m off!

This colorway is called Better ‘n Bacon is the first of two entries I’m submitting for the Dye for Glory contest.

Better ‘n Bacon - as in, “The Sock Summit 2009 is gonna be Better then Bacon!”

I actually had a dream about this yarn and had to make it when I got my plan together! Every time I look at this yarn, it just makes me laugh!

This yarn is 462 yards of fingering weight. 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon. It's knit as two strands held together and you use one strand at a time (best when using two socks at a time techniques). If you use any of the copious two socks at a time technique, you'll get super matchy-matchy socks!

As with all handpaints, no two will be exactly alike.

This colorway is called Crater Lake and is the second of two entries I’m submitting for the Dye for Glory contest.

Named for the stunning lake in Oregon, Crater Lake is deep blue waves of water surrounded by beautiful pine trees. The ends will give lovely green tips and toes to compliment the deep blue middle.

Makes great gifts for knitting friends and all those knitting swaps we love so well.

Don't let the picture fool you, I should've pictured with a penny but forgot. Next time, I will. This item is only a few inches long - portable and convenient.

The hooks I use range from 2.75mm - 3.75mm. The hook colors are as follows:
USC2/2.75mm - pink (or mauve depending on the light)
USD3/3.25mm - light blue
USE4/3.50mm - pink
USF5/3.75mm - charcoal grey

The beads colors will vary. If you have a specific request, let me know and I'll be do my best to oblige - just put a message in the "message to seller" section when checking out.

These are buyer's choice. Would you like your name? Initials? Words that are special to you? Go crazy! Of course, the letter limit is six, so go crazy but be concise!

I have black and white letters and pastel letters. I also have tiny black and white letters on little square beads. If you have a preference, let me know.

The customization involves LETTERS ONLY. If you only have a specific request for hook size/bead color, then you need only buy a Basic Stitch Saver. If you have a (6 letter or less) statement you'd like to make, then Customized Stitch Saver is the right choice!
