ABOUT THE DRESS in the picture:

This wedding dress was made for a French woman in April 2008.

It is made with 3 different kind of silk and lace
black silk charmeuse for the top,
silk chiffon with gold metallic thread for the top layer of the skirt,
off white raw silk for the second layer of the skirt and cotton lining with a lace frill for the tutu.

It features an empire waist and a train.
There are two invisible bones on the sides.

Short sweet little black dress made of silk charmeuse that has a velvety look and feel.

the open V shape decolletage is made with black tulle and a water green sequence applique. It is very flattering, it goes a little deeper in the back.
there is a light weight nylon thread cut in the bottom hem to enhance the flair.

this is a major piece in my collection
Its an absolute one of a kind altered dress

grey wool and acrylic, it has a nice warm and soft feel. It is also lined with a soft black acetate.
It has a big black velvet bow in the front, obviously.

It features two really handy pockets that add some puffiness to the bubble bottom, the sleeves are puffy and short sleeved. It has a long zipper in the back.

It is a size 2/4,

Polysatin shorts, looks like a brushed cotton with a bit more shine,
the piping underlines the construction of these shorts,
the tailored V shaped belt is a nice accent on the waist and is very flattering for the silhouette.

Comfortable, they have two large pockets on the side.

My style advise: great shorts to wear to go out. They can be accessorized with a fluid blouse tucked inside the shorts.

this is a "general info" post for a custom made wedding dress

PICTURES:
1st: Katariina and Uula were married in Finland, I made the dress in NYC and shipped it to them after I had sent them a mock.
2nd: is a front view of the wedding dress on a dress form
3rd: long and short mock versions of the dress, a mock is made to make sure the fit is right .
4th: the back.
5th: Kaaiia and Uula again, enjoying.

DETAILS:

Design:
there are some variations we can do with these designs, just dream and ask. I can also make wedding dress from a picture, or a pattern that you like. I also offer to alter vintage wedding dresses

Size:
In order to get the perfect fit, we make a mock first.
A mock is a muslin version of the dress, I send it to you along with some samples of fabric picked for you.
I'll get your feedback about the fit, you can pin and mark the mock and send it to me to facilitate the alterations.
I make the final dress. Et voila!

Price:
I am an independent designer, all of my designs are true original pieces.

price details/estimate for the wedding dress in the pictures:
it around 400 for the mock (includes grading of the pattern, muslin, fabric sampling and design), then comes the cost of fabric, lining, fastener, thread, trims etc... (will depend but usually around $100/200), then potential design changes plus the final dress labor around $400/500.
all wedding dress starts at $999.00

The silhouette is so cute, I really like the proportions of this garment, the bustier ends a little bit above your natural waist and it's "all ruffles" then.
