This ring is hand carved from Bubinga wood to resemble a pile o' bubbles. I can make this style of ring in various sizes and bubble configurations. They can be made to fit single or multiple fingers. The necklace is made of walnut sustainable harvested in the US. It was given to me by mohop.etsy.com. She makes the most amazing shoes! I went to her studio and she gave me quite a bit of walnut that she could not use. Silver leather cord is affixed to the necklace with agate beads at the end. They help to counter the weight of the center section and allow this necklace to be worn without tying it on. Although, it does work best if you tie at least some of the leather together. The extra leather cords can be worn in front or behind the body.

I make single and double fingered rings with this bubble feel. A friend of mine wears one like a necklace and that gave me the idea for this piece. I really wanted it to look like modern armor or a chest plate. The piece is slightly curved so it sits better against the chest.

This piece went down the runway at Midwest Fashion week.

Earrings are made from 16g square sterling silver wire. They have a cool tribal feel and match anything. The wire is thicker than most earrings. If you are used to wearing big or heavy earrings you should be fine. If not it might take a few days to get used to them. Hot water on your ears and some olive oil on the tips of the earrings will help.

Earrings are just under 1.25" in diameter.

Down by the Seaside Ring

This ring is made from olive wood with a tiny white seashell mounted on the end. I just recently started working with olive wood. This particular kind is native to Africa. When I am carving it the room smells like a plate of fresh green olives. The wood grain is absolutely beautiful. It is a hardwood, but has a lot of oil and a wonderful smooth texture.

The shell is from my great grandmothers collection. I decided it was time to start doing something with these shells rather than let them sit in a box. I am not sure where it is from. The most exotic place she ever visited was Hawaii.

The shell portion of the ring can either stand straight up or lay across your fingers. In my mind I envisioned it being worn so the shell would lay across your finger, you can see it better that way. The shell piece is 1.25" long and just under 0.75" wide.

Ring is a size 9.

Redwood Dome Ring

These earrings are made from native Indiana walnut with tiny sterling silver dot embellishments. The ear wires are also sterling.

These are a very wearable and cute size. Bold yet understated, they are casual and sophisticated. They would be a great addition to the fall wardrobe!

As always, I don't use any stains on the wood. The colors you see are as nature intended. I sand each piece to a sheen and use waxes or oils to achieve the final finish. In this case I used native Indiana beeswax.

Ebony Specs Necklace

Perfect for all of you out there lacking 20/20 vision! I say break the stigma...eyeglass necklaces are not just for elderly ladies! I love this necklace. The links are handmade from sterling wire and the focal piece is ebony. This particular example works best for glasses with a thicker frame on the sides. The ones in the photos are 0.5". This necklace will accommodate frames a bit over 0.5" and I would not go any thinner than 0.25" at the absolute least. I can make a custom end piece to fit any size glasses. You can also specify the type of wood used, just convo me for details.
