The Coolsisters are thinking a lot about spring and the many, many shades of green that are just around the corner. Like this brooch, which is about 4 inches in diameter and made using a French ribbon folding technique using about 3 yards of 1.5 inch wide white grosgrain ribbon. We added a lovely green and white applique flower trim for interest using small white stiches as an accent. The back is finished with a felt circle for neatness, out logo (of course!) and has a metal pin back. It is stunning and unique and will look great on that spring coat, jackets, sweater, or tote bag. Please note that the mannequin is not full size. Please check out other brooches in my shop to see how they look on the human form.

Another version our ribbon rosette brooches. This pin is made from over 3 yards of blue grosgrain ribbon with white stitching running the length of the ribbon. We folded it a bit differently than some of our other pins, and the effect is quite dramatic. The inside is a lovey white lace-type flower applique. The pin measures 5 inches in diameter and would look great on a simple dress (think Michelle Obama) or blue jean jacket. Totally hand crafted. Totally unique. Fully finished in the back.

Be prepared for this brooch! Made using the Coolsisters' usual ribbon folding technique but with girl-scout green ribbon that looks like Swiss Cheese gone wild. We weren't sure what the final effect would be but were were pleasantly surprised. The vintage scout badge was just begging to sit in the middle as the perfect accent - we think it's the book badge, but it's been a while since we dragged out our sashes. About 4 inches across. Will look great on a jacket, sweater, vest. The girl scouts were never this chic.
