The Red Shafted Flicker is one of my favorite birds. It is in the woodpecker family, and from a distance it is an unremarkable buff colored bird. Upon closer examination, however, one notices the fact that it is covered in polka dots. The males have a red moustache, and both sexes have a black crescent moon on the chest. When they fly, the Flicker displays the bright, salmon colored shaft of it's tail and primary wing feathers.

This fabric combination is in homage to this secretly beautiful bird.

I have been a bee-keeper in my life, and the imagery and colors of this fabric really remind me of the flowers that honeybees love in the late summer. The lining is the color of creamed honey. So elegant and whimsical at the same time!

This is a bag that I designed for myself when I couldn't find a diaper bag that was both great looking and organized enough for my needs. This one is basically the "everything but the kitchen sink" type of bag, but with style so that you look hip, not haggard.

Featured are two pleated pockets on either end, three sleeve pockets under the flap and a big zippered pocket, also under the flap. Inside there are three sleeve pockets to organize your life. That's NINE pockets! A swivel hook helps you hang on to your keys.

This bag is fully interfaced for stability, and the strap is made from nylon "seat belt" webbing. It is made from Joel Dewberry's beautiful home decor weight fabric as well as some sturdy canvas in dove grey.

Here's what I put in mine: a book, my journal, my daughter's diapers, a sippy cup, extra clothes, checkbook wallet, small card wallet, cell phone, ipod, keys, snacks, sunglasses, and whatever else I need for an outing. This bag holds more than you'll want to carry! The strap is adjustable so that you can wear it messanger style or over your shoulder.

Measurements: 14 inches (35.5 cm)wide, 11.5 inches (29 cm) tall, and 5 inches (12.5 cm)deep.

This bag should be hand washed in soapy water, rinsed well, and hung to dry. Use a hot steam iron to press back into shape (but don't iron the strap, it will melt!).

This is a bag that I designed for myself when I couldn't find a diaper bag that was both great looking and organized enough for my needs. This one is basically the "everything but the kitchen sink" type of bag, but with style so that you look hip, not haggard.

Featured are two pleated pockets on either end, three sleeve pockets under the flap and a big zippered pocket, also under the flap. Inside there are three sleeve pockets to organize your life. A swivel hook keeps your keys from the abyss.

This bag is fully interfaced for stability, and the strap is made from nylon "seat belt" webbing. It is made from Anna Maria Horner and Joel Dewberry's beautiful home decor weight fabric

Here's what I put in mine: a book, my journal, my daughter's diapers, a sippy cup, extra clothes, checkbook wallet, small card wallet, cell phone, ipod, keys, snacks, sunglasses, and whatever else I need for an outing. This bag holds more than you'll want to carry! The strap is adjustable so that you can wear it messanger style or over your shoulder.

Measurements: 14 inches (35.5 cm)wide, 11.5 inches (29 cm) tall, and 5 inches (12.5 cm)deep.

This bag should be hand washed in soapy water and hung to dry. Use a hot steam iron to press back into shape (but don't iron the strap, it will melt!).

Please allow 2 weeks for me to make your bag and mail it to you.
