The fabric has a brown base with light blue, yellow, coral and rust accents. Lined with coral fabric remnant. I have a few change purses with this fabric combination, so they'll look very similar to, but not exactly like, the one pictured.

I use discards, remnants and vintage fabrics to limit my impact on the environment.

Measures approximately 4.75 inches (about 12cm) wide by 3.75 inches (about 9.5cm) deep. Each purse is cut and sewn by hand, so sizes are approximate and vary slightly from bag to bag.

Big enough for coins and bills with room for a lip balm.

MonkeyDogStudio - Embrace change.

And this shop contains one of my favorite things ever: a basket full of remnants.

Handmade change purse made from a remnant of cherry blossom fabric. Lovely flowers in shades of red and pink on a vibrant turquoise background. Lined with a bright red remnant leftover from an earlier project. I have a few change purses with this fabric combination, so they'll look very similar to, but not exactly like, the one pictured.

I use discards, remnants and vintage fabrics to limit my impact on the environment.

Measures approximately 4 inches (about 10cm) wide by 4.75 inches (about 12cm) deep with a mouth about 2.25 inches (about 6 cm) wide . Each purse is cut and sewn by hand, so sizes are approximate and vary slightly from bag to bag.

Big enough for coins and bills with room for a lip balm. Deep enough to fit a credit card.

MonkeyDogStudio - Embrace change.

$27.00
Before there were MP3s, CDs, and even 33 1/3 LPS, there were 78s. 78s were made of shellac, and as a result, were prone to breaking. Because this format was only long enough to hold a song on each side, an artist’s songs were compiled in a Record Album that was very much like a photo album—a hard cover with sleeves in between.

As 78s broke and became obsolete, people were frequently left with just the record album—too big to hold 45s, too small to hold LPs.

In an effort to keep these record albums from going into the landfill, I have started turning them into blank books.

Each album has been cleaned with archival paper cleaner, and then sprayed with deacidification spray to help extend its life. Keep in mind that these albums range from 50-70 years old, so they will have wear and aging, but this just adds to their unique character.

After cleaning and deacidifying, the albums are cut to size, the edges are sealed with ModPodge and bookbinding tape, and then they are stitched to signatures to make front and back book covers.

Each blank book is 100 pages long, and is made with 100% recycled, acid-free heavyweight paper. Pages measure 9 inches tall x 6 inches wide. Cover is slightly larger. The Coptic stitching allows the book to be opened flat for ease of use. Each book is one of a kind and is numbered and signed on the back.

I hope you enjoy your blank book as much as I enjoyed making it.
Tiny tags, set of 50

$2.00
Sometimes packaging is just too pretty to go directly to the recycling bin. This set of 50 tiny tags has been hand-punched by me out of packaging and folders destined for the recycle bin. The colors on the blank sides range from white to grey to tan. (I try to purchase products in recycled packaging, so some of these tags are DOUBLEY earth-friendly!)

Each tag is approximately 1-1/8 inches long by 5/8 inch wide; they’re the perfect size to use as price tags or jewelry tags. And because I know you want to promote YOUR items rather than someone else’s, I’ve carefully avoided any text when I punched the tags.

Each set is randomly selected from the tags that I’ve punched, but I’ve tried to include a variety of colors in each bag. The first picture shows some of the tags in detail. The second gives you an idea of what 50 tags looks like. The third shows you what the backs look like. The fourth shows you my snazzy tag puncher. And the fifth…well, the fifth is just more tags. Some of these may show up in the bag you order! They’re practically famous!

OneMansTrash – No strings attached.
