I never, ever get tired of making this style of earring. Everyone seems to love them, and they are so cute! Making these gives me the perfect excuse to try a new crystal color--this is my first time using the Light Peach AB, from Crystallized Elements by Swarovski.

The wirework is done completely by hand, and for this pair--

I used permanently colored copper wire. It looks like warm brass with a nice patina. Above the peach & transparent pink plastic blossoms is another crystal in Dark Peach.

These earrings are lightweight and comfortable, and also very unique. Each pair is one of a kind.

This bracelet is almost as unique and special as the witch it was named for.

The fancy chain and all other metal components are made of sterling silver. The charms are also sterling silver, and they are amazing! They're solid and sturdy, with designs on all sides. Only the lightning bolt is flat. Besides the obvious, there is one Wizard Hat, one Wise Owl, and one Badger (very cute).

There are many other beautiful charms attached here as well, in juicy lemon (sherbet?)yellows and glossy jet black--the appropriate house colors. These include genuine Swarovski crystal hearts, Swarovski glass pearls, Swarovski bicone beads and "Margaritas" (tiny, daisy shaped beads).

So much sparkle! This piece was carefully handcrafted by me, completely & utterly unique and will never be duplicated.

Cerise Noir = Black Cherry, dark & luscious like the crystals on this pair of earrings.

The earrings and half of the metal components are made of gunmetal colored brass. The intricate, diamond-shaped focal beads are Bali silver, which is sterling silver that was handcrafted into beads by artisans in Bali. The rest of the metal components are sterling silver. A rich cluster of scarlet-hued beads hang from each earring. There's a myriad of colors in various shades of red, genuine Swarovski crystals and genuine red coral beads.

Total length of earrings is 3 inches (7.62cm) - very dramatic!

"Godreau" is a Y-style necklace, just like "Chauntelle", and like that necklace it is named after another amazing female musician--Meredith Godreau of Gregory and the Hawk.

This color scheme is earthier, and a little darker--like the singer who inspired it. The chain and all metal components are natural brass. The Smoky Topaz & Light Smoky Topaz colored Swarovski crystals perfectly complement the warmth of the brass. Tiny sterling silver daisy beads and Ivory colored pressed glass beads add just the right amount of contrast.

This necklace is very simple and understated, but at the same time it is elegant and versatile. You really could wear it with almost anything.

Length of the shortest strand is about 16 inches.

Making this style of earrings is so much fun! There are so many different color combinations between the flower petal beads, the metal wire and the genuine Swarovski crystals. This "blossom" style is a perennial favorite in my shop, every pair has sold out quickly. Each listed pair is totally unique, so if you love the one you're looking at right now--get it while you can!

These "Dahlias" are made with sterling silver and gunmetal wire. The petals themselves are violet on top and clear indigo on the bottom. The crystal in the middle of each pair is Purple Velvet AB, which is a lush, deep purple with an extra shimmer (that's what the AB stands for).

Spring is a memory now, for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. During this long, hot summer I told myself that Winter would be here soon and that Spring, as always, would follow after. Spring is with us for such a short time, here in North Texas. It's something we all enjoy as much as we can while we can. This is my favorite brass bracelet, cheerful and cute. It's made of one large, amazingly beautiful brass filigree, two genuine freshwater pearls in peacock green, one vintage picasso-pink czech glass cube bead, one czech glass mottle green leaf bead, one genuine swarovski crystal cube in Light Peach, one handmade lampwork glass disc, one pressed glass translucent golden green bead, one genuine Kyanite extra large round bead in lovely, blotchy forest green and clay pink, one genuine faceted new jade puffed oval bead, lots and lots of natural brass bead caps, links, and a lovely brass swirl clasp.

The pinks and greens complement each other perfectly and the warm brass is the perfect background color.

Total length of bracelet is just shy of 8 inches (20.32cm), it has two O-rings, so you can shorten the bracelet to about 7 1/4 inches (18.42cm) and let the rest dangle (two little Swarovski crystals attached to the last ring to weigh it down a little).

A strange and interesting piece! This is a simple, elegant long necklace made of smooth, gunmetal rolo chain. The dark, silvery gunmetal gleams...

The pendant is one large, glossy, faceted genuine White Agate octagon. The Agate is shiny and feels cold, it almost looks like ice. And if you look closely at it, it has a marbled appearance, with swirls of light grey, silver and light beige. The stone has large facets that catch the light and reflect it. It looks like a small piece of the moon, I think, hence the name.

Attached to the pendant is a small length of rectangular-link gunmetal chain. This chain is not as shiny as the chain that forms the necklace. This is more matte so it doesn't detract from the Agate stone. It is also suspended by the sterling silver wire that attaches the Agate to the larger gunmetal chain. One tiny Swarovski crystal, in Bermuda Blue, rests just underneath the Agate pendant. The charcoal/navy blue of the crystal is just a tiny piece of extra flair, like a cherry on top of a piece of chocolate cake ;)

Total length of this necklace is 26 inches (66cm) without the pendant.

I had this great stash of smooth, petal-pink, gorgeous Peruvian Opal chips and I was so ready to make something with them, but I wasn't sure what. I also was looking through my HUGE collection of beads and the jumbo, Bali silver focal bead you see here just kind of jumped out and begged me to find a place for it to shine. I've been holding onto it for years, because it's so pretty, I was almost afraid to use it. I've seen a lot of people making asymmetrical jewelry lately--it's bold and brave and cool. I felt like I should give it a whirl. Et Voila! "Combinations"

...A combination of smooth & coarse, regular and irregular, order & chaos.

~2/3 of this bracelet is made of polished, baby-pink Peruvian Opal chips with 3 equally smooth sterling silver discs in between.

~The last 1/3 is dominated by a 14mm highly ornate Bali silver bead among several smaller, shiny, round sterling silver beads.

~Total length is 8 inches (20cm), but you can clasp it at 7.5 inches (19 cm)and let the rest dangle--attached to the last O-ring is a sterling silver butterfly.

I think it's great when you can take a material that is made for one particular use, and then turn it into a jewelry component! I found some vintage French sequins at one of my favorite jewelry shops (A Grain of Sand) and decided to buy them, even though I don't sew (yet). They were bright and fresh shades of green and I thought I could use them for jewelry in some way. These earrings are the first piece of jewelry that I've made using these shiny little sequins, but I know it won't be the last. I used three different shades of green, from a darker, almost teal color, to light mint in the middle and a lemon-lime on top. I tried to create an "ombre" effect by mixing the colors a bit. The sequins are strung onto sterling silver head pins, accented with round sterling silver beads. Then, I attached the head pins to a sterling silver link with 4 open circles--very mod. I handmade the sterling silver ear wires. Total length of this pair is 2 inches (5 cm).

Simple, modern, cool and you can wear them with just about anything!

With shimmering gold chain, cloudy sky-blues and stormy royal blues this gorgeous Y-necklace always reminds me of a beautiful, golden sand beach and deep blue ocean waves. "Chauntelle", however, is named for one of my favorite musicians, Chauntelle Dupree of the band, Eisley. Her natural color scheme (shiny golden hair and deep blue eyes) gave me the idea of pairing the two colors in a piece of pretty jewelry. I draw my inspiration from Eisley's music as well as all my memories of days spent at the beach, which happens to be my favorite place in the whole world. This necklace is all those lovely ideas manifested in a wearable work of art!

The delicate, flat-circle link chain is 22K gold Vermeil (gold plated sterling silver) all metal components of this necklace are also 22K gold Vermeil. The clasp is a very sturdy S-hook. This necklace features tiny pressed glass beads here and there, in shades of frosted baby blue and opaque royal blue. The larger beads in the centerpiece are the same 2 shades of blue. All wire work was hand crafted by *me*.

This necklace is about 16 inches long (shortest strand), which is equivalent to about 40cms.

I was thinking, "fresh. green. sunlight streaming through a canopy of leaves in the forest..." when I made these lush, leafy brass earrings. The name comes from a song by my favorite band, Eisley, about a romantic fairy tryst in the woods. The ear wires were made by hand, I smoothed the ends for comfort (you won't scratch your ears up trying to put these in). There is one genuine Swarovski crystal in Emerald green at the top of each earring and one genuine freshwater pearl in Peacock Green at the bottom. These earrings are 2.25inches total length (5.72cm).

Question: What is black and white and red all over?

If you are as devoted to ABC's LOST as I am, you will KNOW the answer! This trendy red, black and silver necklace is for the hardcore LOSTIE chic. Only she can appreciate the symbolism, nerdiness and love that went into this necklace. You'll feel Special when you put it on.

This necklace is just over 16 inches of awesome (by the way, 16 is one of The Numbers...). There are two rows of beads, one made of genuine red coral and genuine bright red Swarovski crystals on sterling silver wire. The second row of beads consists of tiny, jet-black, hex-cut seed beads. Hex cut means the beads are actually cut into a hexagonal shape for maximum sparkle! The necklace also features 16 inches of sterling silver rolo chain, perfect little circles sturdy enough to carry the weight of those number block beads. Of course those block beads display the "magical" Numbers, the Valenzetti Equation so central to the entire story of LOST...4...8...15..16...23...42! Closing things up is a large sterling silver clasp and a white plastic word bead that reads "lost" on one side and "out" on the other. Make of it what you will.

The solution to the riddle at the top of this description is found in the season 1 episode, "Special". What IS black and white and red all over? Answer: A penguin with a sunburn! Of course it doesn't make sense. This is LOST! I wouldn't have it any Other way (wink, wink).

I will admit to being a nerd only because it will help me to explain why I create certain pieces, what inspires me and how I named this necklace. I'm a bit fanatic about Dr. Who, especially the new series of the show, which featured Rose Tyler as the Doctor's first companion. I wanted to make something pretty that Rose would wear, so it had to be sparkly and pink without being gaudy and ridiculous (that's more like what her mom would wear...)

I wanted to make something that was obviously inspired by her girly-sweet personality, in those first two seasons--something that shined like she did. Can you tell how much I love this t.v. show?

I also love gemstones and Tourmaline is my favorite. But it can be very expensive! I wanted the color variations of Tourmaline, browns to greens to juicy pinks...so I used Swarovski crystals instead. And here it is...the Rose Tyler. The necklace itself is about 16 inches long (40cm), made entirely of genuine Swarovski crystals in Tourmaline colors and sterling silver saucer beads. The pendant is a beautiful Fine Silver (.999) rose. The toggle clasp is a cute little arrow-in-heart made of sterling silver. I attached a tiny, sterling silver honeybee charm, because this is Silverbugs Jewelry, after all!

Drama...mystery...fantasy...

All these things were running through my head as I looked through the box of beautiful, new, natural brass components. The graceful filigree, now in the center of this bracelet, caught my eye and I had to make something with it right away. I spied some vintage Lucite beads gleaming at me from one of my supply trays and suddenly knew what I had to do. This pretty bracelet is one of the first creations I made using Vintaj Natural Brass. Here I also used curvy-link chain and a clasp from Vintaj. I can't say enough good things about the quality of the brass components from Vintaj N.B. I'm only going to use their findings and filigrees from now on! The middle of this bracelet is two rows of dainty little crystals, light purple Swarovski and light olive green Czech pressed glass. Beautiful and sparkly and perfect for Fall and Winter fashions. I think "Georgette" is a great name. It makes me think of a very fashion-forward, sophisticated, classy woman. The kind of woman who'd wear this bracelet with a gown at a holiday party...

This bracelet is reversible. You can turn it over to reveal the lush, purple Lucite bead or wear it with the ornamental filigree component in front. Looks smashing either way! Total length of bracelet is 7 1/4 inches (18.42cm).

This beautiful, one of a kind necklace was hand-made by me, and features genuine Swarovski crystals, hand-made lampwork glass beads, glass pearls and Sterling Silver components. It also features a hand-made hook clasp.

I like long necklaces, so this one is about 26 inches. The fun thing about this is, you can wear it with the clasp visible on one side, instead of at the back of your neck. You can adjust this necklace to showcase any of the pretty components in it and you can change the way it looks by changing its position on your neck. It's totally up to you!

The pink and black color scheme on the lampwork glass beads goes perfectly with the extra large Light Rose crystals and the small Fuchsia crystal accents. The two rows of delicate sterling silver chain are sturdy and balance the heavier side of the necklace very well. I placed a tiny glass pearl on either side of each glass bead for a touch of elegance.

Stone and silver plated charms and pendants

This listing is for a small group of silver metal links/charms and stone charms/pendants.

Details:

4 vintage heart charms/links made of base metal. They're shiny and flat. The small ones (3) are 14mm, the largest one is about 20mm.

3 metal links that would make great earrings (2 of them are identical) or focal pieces on a necklace. You can easily attach charms or crystals to them--anything you wish! All three are about 18mm.

1 large butterfly filigree, silver-colored base metal. This is light and very shiny, perfect for the centerpiece of a necklace or bracelet. It's about 36mm in size, so it's large but not heavy.

6 fancy double-sided links with flourish designs (on both sides). These are a bit heavy, very sturdy, but I was able to make earrings with them and they were not so heavy that they were uncomfortable to wear. These are about 16mm each.

1 carved round pendant made of (I'm guessing) Orange Aventurine. There looks to be an elk carved into the center, with many flourishes. It's about 1 1/4 inches in diameter.

1 light grey/green dolphin pendant. I don't know the stone that it's made of, possibly a type of marble. This pendant is actually two dolphins, swimming side by side. It is also about 1 1/4 inches in size. It has a small hole drilled into the center for stringing.

1 dark green marble-look pendant carving--this one is a small fish, about 25mm. It also has a hole drilled into it vertically for easy stringing.

1 light grey/green pendant carving of two identical fish--it looks like the zodiac symbol for 'Pisces'. It has a hole drilled in the middle for stringing.

1 hematite Sun/Moon charm, 20mm in size and has a hole drilled at the top for stringing.

1 Rose quartz daisy charm, very cute. It already has a head pin inside, and a sterling silver split ring at the top-this one is ready for a charm bracelet! It's about 18mm in size.

This listing is a mixture of different charms left from all the charm bracelets I've made over the years. I love making charm bracelets--they're always popular and very feminine and cute. If you're into them as much as I am, you're always looking for unique little charms and here are a few you will like!

Details:

5 links/focal pieces/charms, gold-toned base metal, size 18mm. These could be charms as well as links on a bracelet or they could be used individually as a focal bead on a choker-style necklace (just an idea). You could also glue flat-back crystals into the little flower design in the middle, or you could also paint these and then seal them. Almost anything goes!

4 gold-tone butterfly links/charms. These could be links OR charms, depending on what you want to use them for. The backs are plain gold color with 4 holes for stringing. The front is a bright yellow/green enamel swirl with a matching crystal. Size 18mm

1 gold-tone hourglass charm, size 18mm.

14 glass leaf charms, most are a deep, emerald green while the rest are a light transparent sea green. They're sized from 12mm to 24mm.

9 glass bead, wire-wrapped charms. These are juicy, colorful glass beads wrapped with swirls and loops of wire. Very cute on charm bracelets or necklaces or even to make earrings with. There are 4 in dark green, 2 in light blue, 1 green, 1 pink, 1 champagne. They're all about 11x9mm, not including the loops at either end.
