Outside my front door these crows were making such a ruckus that I had to go see what was up. I became inspired by their dark shape against the grey still sky.

The day set the tone, as no adjustments were made to the digital. Each crow's silhouette becomes a unique graphic against the even tone of a neutral sky.

An amazing grouping of bright orange poppies all blooming together again I'm on the grass photographing them from underneath. This one was on the edge. I love that in black and white the white shows up on the petals, looking like little scratches and adding an interesting detail.

This is a painting that I completed in 2000 and resides in my home as part of my decor. I truly love this painting and felt it was time to show her off. The original painting is 4 ft by 2 ft, huge and completely saturated with these pink and yellow Plumaria flowers.

This detailed print shows four of the Plumaria blooms that are repeated throughout the piece. Creating this repetition was a completely focused and meditative process, filled with the amazing thought, that I was actually Humanizing these pink blooms. The transformation from real to the surreal, via a human hand, paint and canvas. That is what makes a piece sing, the touch, the essence of humanness that permeates through to the observer.

This is a signed and dated print which will be open ended.

These passion flower vines are so prolific and the fragrance is heady, they appear to be prehistoric, something from another world yet they are real. Their fleeting bloom is monumental but short lived for the flower lasts just a day.

History
The Bengal Cat is a distinct, unique breed of spotted domestic cat {in Jagger's case marbled} derived from the ancestral crossing of a domestic with an Asian Leopard Cat. What is believed to be the first documented cross in the United States is recorded as 1963: however, there are references to domestic and wild crosses in earlier literature. The Bengal of today was first recognized in 1984 by The International Cat Association (TICA) and must be four generations away from the Asian Leopard Cat.

I was sitting inside at sunset, why I don't know for it was gorgeous out, and saw the sun hitting this california poppy bud dead on, it was a beam of light illuminating this orange blossom. I just had to capture the stunning display that would be gone in a few seconds. I got it and am reminded of the sheer power the camera has to stop time so succinctly. The ability to capture the moment never ceases to amaze me.
