There are not your grandma's doily placemats! Actually, these placemats are former gas station price signs, upcycled by screenprinting a doily design on each sign. Each placemat measures 11.5 by 17 inches. Each number and doily design measure about 15.5 inches long.

These upcycled placemats also work great as, well, plastic doilies or coasters for tabletops. Several can be assembled together to form a room divider.

While the doily design is always the same, we have extremely limited quantities of each digit. Please specify your preference when you order.

The placemat is thick acrylic screenprinted with the two designs. It can be wiped clean but is not dishwasher- or food-safe.

While cleaning out our screenprinting studio, we came across our stack of make-readies, or test prints, layered with bits and pieces of imagery from our various printing projects. We chose our favorites, cut them into 5"x7" rectangles, and printed a bright red image of a Victorian bicycle, or penny-farthing.

Celebrate the crazy food that's indigenous to Cincinnati and the Southwestern Ohio region! This print depicts Cincinnati chili, a regional style of chili characteristically served over spaghetti. While served in many regular restaurants, it is most often associated with several fast-food chains in the Cincinnati area, including Skyline Chili, Gold Star, Empress, and Dixie. Cincinnati chili seems to have originated with one or more immigrant restaurateurs from Greece who were trying to broaden their customer base by moving beyond narrowly ethnic styles of cuisine.

This is a limited-edition, 3-color screenprint, printed in an edition of 20. The print measures 7x5 inches and comes unframed.

This party-sized set of 9 cork coasters depicts a tile pattern from the entry way of a 19th century building in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati. The building houses the infamous Bar 1132.

Each coaster measures 4 inches square and, when assembled together, the set measure 12 inches square and can be used as a large trivet. The coasters have been screenprinted by hand in vivid orange and blue.

The Florence, Kentucky water tower is an instantly recognizable landmark, even inspiring the naming of the annual Florence festival to the "Florence Y'all" fest. The Florence Y'all fest takes up four days and covers Main Street with vendor booths. In 1974, the name "Florence Mall" was painted on the water tower to promote the new shopping center. The sign was found to be in violation and, in a stroke of penny-pinching genius, only one letter needed to be changed in order to comply with regulations, and a regional icon was born!

This large, three-color, limited-edition serigraph looks like a map at first glance, but it actually depicts every building in around downtown Cincinnati. The print shows the Ohio River, downtown, Over-the-Rhine, Mt. Auburn, Clifton, the University of Cincinnati, and parts of Queensgate, the West End, and Mt. Adams. You can recognize the major buildings and landmarks by their distinctive shapes. The coordinates in the lower left corner point to Fountain Square.

The colors are olive green, pale blue, and orange-red on heavyweight bright white, acid-free, recycled stock from French Paper. The paper measures 20x28 inches, and the print was printed in an edition of 20, each signed and numbered.

Celebrate the crazy food that's indigenous to Cincinnati and the Southwestern Ohio region! This print depicts goetta, a mix of ground meat and oats. Goetta is a peasant food of German origin that is popular in the greater Cincinnati area. Pronounced gétt-aa, ged-da or get-uh Americanized pronunciation, this dish originated with German settlers from the northwestern regions of Oldenburg, Hannover, and Westphalia who emigrated to the Cincinnati area in the 19th century. The word "Goetta" comes from the Low German word götte.

Celebrate the crazy food that's indigenous to Cincinnati and the Southwestern Ohio region! This print depicts city chicken, or pork on a skewer, sometimes known as mock chicken. The origins of the entrée and its name are not entirely known, but it is rumored to have originated during the Depression Era, when people took meat scraps and fashioned a makeshift drumstick out of them. It was a working class food item. During this period, pork was cheaper than chicken in many parts of the country, especially for those far from rural poultry farms. In spite of the name, the dish almost never contains chicken.

Cincinnati is our home and, to celebrate our three-year anniversary in our adopted hometown, we created this limited-edition screenprint on assorted vintage wallpaper, depicting Cincinnati's unusual silhouette. You can see where the city hugs the Ohio River, as well as the cut-out areas of Norwood, St. Bernard and Indian Hill, which are separate entities within the city of Cincinnati.
