I created this pattern for my Beginning Crochet classes. I needed an easy project that would work up quickly, include all the basic crochet skills (working in rows, working in the back end of a chain, even gauge, and basic finishing and embellishing), and was trendy enough that the students would actually want to take it home. The result: The Simple Scarflette.

With just two ounces of bulky weight novelty or hand-spun yarn, you can create the season’s hottest cold weather accessory: the scarflette. This little warmer is the perfect size; keeping your neck warm, your purse light, and your jacket from looking like a cheerleader’s jersey, er, over-stuffed. So quick and simple to work you can make one for every color scheme in your wardrobe!

You'll need to provide your own yarn, hooks, and buttons, or you can purchase a kit from my store.

Saponificozy™ Soap Socks are known the world over for their simple, yet effective design. Will and Grace Donkey Ear Hat - Crochet Pattern

One of my first Etsy sales was a custom order to a fabulous woman in Canada. She was in love with the sitcom "Will and Grace", and wanted a little donkey ear hat just like Grace's. It took me two tries to get it perfect, but the end result was a hit!

The pattern is sized to fit an average woman's head (20-22"/50-55cm), and requires working in rounds, simple motifs and piecework, and basic finishing techniques. You'll need to provide your own worsted weight yarn and hooks.
