These pink freshwater pearls are a little irregular in shape and that gives them some character. They have plenty of luster and they look great with the dark graphite color of the oxidized sterling silver.

The palest of gray frosted glass round beads are topped with sweet brass beadcaps sporting a leaf and petal motif. A brass rondelle is next, followed by a frosty white glass bead.

The focal point of this one-of-a-kind necklace is a large round cabochon of cinnamon-y colored jasper. There are streaks of deeper color found throughout the stone, which makes for an interesting tone-on-tone effect.

I artfully wrapped the jasper in antiqued brass filigree and suspended a copper dragonfly charm from the bottom. Above the stone is a textured ring and a series of cascading copper leaves. A black and gold swirled glass bead finishes off this assemblage.

The 4th photo shows the back of the cabochon, wrapped with the intricate filigree.

The antiqued brass chain is 19" (48.3 cm) long and is finished with a simple hook clasp. The entire drop segment (from the top of the ring to the bottom of the butterfly) measures 4" (10.2 cm).

These two strands of sterling silver and ivory beads are just slightly askew from one another. This and the highly textured silver beads make this a unique piece of jewelry.

This 7 1/2" (19 cm) bracelet is finished with a sterling silver foldover clasp, which offers great security.

The ivory beads are fossilized mammoth ivory. The material is ancient. No animal was harmed in gathering the raw material to make these beads. Because of the ivory content, this item cannot be shipped outside the United States. I will gladly ship any of my other items internationally.

These elongated glass beads have a bronze-y finish that is incredibly shiny. Just to tone it down a bit, I draped them with brass filigree that has an antique patina. Above, are additional glass beads that perfectly complement the vintage, romantic aura of these earrings.

The subtlety of the tone-on-tone colorway of these earrings is made more interesting by the contrast in textures.

These lampwork beads were made by Deronda (http://DerondaDesigns.etsy.com) and I adore the softness of the color. The pink is incredibly feminine and understated, while maintaining a super high gloss finish.

For these earrings, I simply used a decorative sterling silver headpin and topped the lampwork beads with a textured sterling bead.

Length from the bottom of the sterling earwires is 5/8" (1.6 cm). Total length is 1 1/4" (3 cm).

Three luscious stones in shades of aqua make up this lovely trio: a plump briolette of aqua chalcedony, a briolette of speckled moss aquamarine and a beautifully faceted teardrop of London blue topaz.

These stones are hanging from a circle that I fused from fine silver wire. After texturing it, I suspended it from a sterling silver chain.

All of the silver has been oxidized and lightly hand sanded. The chain is 17" (43.2 cm). The measurement from the top of the circle to the bottom of the stones is about 1 1/8" (3 cm).

At the bottom of these earrings there is a large faceted bead of clear amethyst. At the top is a deep red garnet. In between these two gemstones is a spiky cluster of garnet and amethyst beads.

Garnets come in a wide variety of colors. In these earrings, I have included almadine garnet (the most common type of garnet), rhodolite garnet (brighter, raspberry color) and spessartite garnet (an orangey brown color).

This color combination is eclectic and eye-catching.

From the bottom of a fine silver ring, I have suspended an incredibly lifelike slice of watermelon and a chocolate ice cream cone. At the top of the circle is a miniature sand dollar bead.

Long and slim, these earrings are hand formed from sterling silver wire. I oxidized then tumbled them to get this dark, gunmetal color finish.

The pearl at the bottom is very special. Not only is it large, but it is bumpy and quite luminescent. These pearls speak for themselves and need no other adornment ... but they do remind me a little of Wilma Flintstone!

Super-smooth briolettes of denim blue kyanite hold a generous amount of silvery flash beneath the surface. I have wrapped them with sterling silver wire and suspended them from rounded sterling silver earwires.

A large oval shaped bead of bronzite lies beneath an earthy cluster of gems. While the bronzite bead is smooth, it has an organic wood like pattern on its surface that gives it some dimension.

Above the bronzite you will see mint green freshwater pearls, smooth round carnelian beads, rondelles of apple green gaspeite and faceted rounds of clear brown smoky quartz. All are on sterling silver headpins.

Three metallic beads of marcasite hang together from the bottoms of circles of fine silver that I fused from wire. I then textured the circles randomly. The circles are suspended from elegantly curved sterling silver earwires.

Marcasite is an opaque mineral with a metallic luster. In it's natural state, it is a brassy yellow color, but darkens considerably with exposure. That is what you see in these earrings -- the darkened mineral with a greenish black coloration.

All of the silver has been oxidized and hand sanded to expose just a bit of the shiny silver.

Total length of these classic earrings is 1 1/2" (3.8 cm).

These beads are sort of hard to describe. They are irregularly shaped, almost like a nugget. The colors are a striking mix of greens, some blue and a bit of red. Fun!

I've joined a series of gray beads ... and one red one! ... with wrapped links to form this not-so-subtle bracelet. The beads are cassiterite, Botswana agate, pietersite, crazy lace agate, Czech pressed glass and freshwater pearls.

The clasp is handcrafted from sterling silver wire and is very easy to clasp by yourself.

After fusing two different sized circles of fine silver in link fashion, I hammered and textured them. Sterling silver chain with textured oval links is interrupted by a series of three iridescent olive green freshwater pearls to complete the necklace.

I love the way this necklace drapes. It's easy and comfortable to wear.

Heading to Kingsbridge? Live in Kingsbridge? Need a map to find Kingsbridge? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this necklace is for you!

The base of this necklace is brass, which I have embossed with a leafy pattern I then patinated the brass and sanded it to accentuate the pattern.

Sitting atop the brass is a snippet of a map (including Kingsbridge!) preserved under an acrylic panel. I used hollow rivets to connect these 2 elements.

Dangling from the bottom is a small collection of beads and a charm, which coordinate with and complement the image. There is also a stack of small beads on one side of the brass chain, just above the pendant.

The necklace is 22 1/2" (56 cm) long and is finished with a gold plated lobster clasp. The pendant part is about 2" (5.5 cm) long, including the beaded drops.

This necklace is not designed to be worn while swimming, bathing or showering.

Large link chain plus three lengths of smaller chain are joined to form this easy to wear bracelet. There are drops of Thai Hill Tribe silver where the chains meet. At the clasp end there's one more drop of Thai silver that looks like it was rolled.

The hand crafted clasp is easy to close yourself - so important in a bracelet!

I start with sterling silver wire and wrap it around itself again and again and again, until it looks sufficiently "messy"! Next, I cut a length of smaller gauge sterling wire and wrap it over the original mess, adding tiny white seed pearls here and there. Voila! My version of a tornado!

Seriously, these earrings are extremely fun to make, as there is no way I could duplicate a pair exactly.

All of the silver has been oxidized and selectively sanded to give shine to the higher spots. You will want to wear these eye-catching earrings every day. They make a statement.

The deepest midnight blue of these freshwater pearls makes this necklace so special. I've teamed them with some iolite beads in a faceted twist shape and some lovely sterling silver chain.

The chain is composed of long oval links alternating with textured, smaller round links. The two sides meet at a sterling ring, followed by the waterfall of pearls and iolite. There is a smaller pearl and iolite drop at the clasp end (see picture #4).

The abalone button that forms the base of this necklace is large at about 2" (5 cm) in diameter. It has that beautiful iridescent blue-green coloration ... with touches of mauve and champagne ... that is characteristic of abalone shell.

I used bronze colored wire to securely attach the lovely brass dragonfly element to the button. To disguise the ends of the wire, I placed a small vintage button on the back (see the last photo).

This pendant is hanging on a hand-dyed green and mauve silk ribbon which you can tie in the back to any length you need. The ribbon is 36" (91.4 cm) long, which gives you lots of flexibility in the necklace length.

These hand formed copper circles have been hammered, oxidized and gently hand sanded for a vintage, distressed look. I attached an olive green keshi pearl to the bottom securely with sterling silver wire. The "ball end" of the wire nestles cozily inside the cup of this little pearl. To me, it looks a bit like a poppy.

The copper hoops hang from my signature hand formed sterling silver earwires, which have also been oxidized. I tumbled these for ultimate shine. The look achieved with these earrings is one of vintage sophistication.

The focal point of this necklace is a highly faceted and very large prasiolite (green amethyst) briolette. It measures 7/8" (2.2 cm)!

The large faceted briolette that is the focal point of this necklace is bi-color quartz. It is a combination of soft lavender and a deeper violet.

I have wrapped it with lots of sterling silver wire and added a cluster of small rondelles of tanzanite and spinel. These two stones complement the colors in the briolette perfectly. The rondelles continue up both sides of the necklace, where they meet textured sterling silver chain.

This three strand necklace is comprised of freshwater pearls in creamy white, smaller pearls in a greenish-gold champagne color, a variety of sterling silver beads and sterling chain. The artful composition is one I worked on for quite a while to get it right.

I used two different styles of chain -- one is a textured oval and the other is a bar chain. The bar chain strand is interspersed with pearls matching those found in the primary strand.

At the clasp end are two sweet coordinating dangles, just because.

The length of the strands vary a bit. They don't nest together perfectly, adding to the casual elegance of this piece. The longest strand measures 17" (43.2 cm).

The vintage pendant that is the focal point of this necklace is blue glass. It is decorated with a striking geometric pattern etched into the surface. I started with tapered tube shaped vintage glass beads in solid black. They are nestled inside a very unique antiqued brass beadcap. I think it's a little outer-spacey looking! On top, I added another vintage glass bead. These beads both have "cut sides" that are glossy, while the rest of the surface has a frosted, matte finish.

A long slender briolette of rutilated quartz -- clear quartz with needle like inclusions of black tourmaline -- needs very little adornment. I have chosen two tiny beads of watermelon colored sapphire to sit alongside the quartz.

This necklace is classy and classic.

Nicknamed "scribbles", these earrings are always one-of-a-kind. I create an elegantly curved element with heavy gauge sterling silver wire, ending with a spiraled flourish. Flattened in my rolling mill, this element is the perfect base for wrapping gemstones.

I selected small rondelles of super sparkly cubic zirconia -- they really do look like diamonds -- and a tiny white freshwater pearl. At the bottom, I added a larger white pearl, which dangles freely.

These earrings are elegant. They would be perfect for a bride or that big holiday party.

All the silver is sterling. Total length of these dramatic earrings is 2 1/2" (6.4 cm).

The brushed aluminum beadcaps I used in the construction of these earrings evoke a retro feeling. Under the beadcap is a large oval glass bead in matte black. Above it is a sterling silver dotted spacer bead topped by another matte black glass bead. One might say these earrings look like upside down tulips!

All in all, a fun, retro pair of earrings!

Here is a flower out of the ordinary. The petals are deep, dark peacock colored keshi pearls. The center of the flower is a large faceted amethyst. In the background are two irregularly shaped hammered elements of fine silver.

The flower is securely wrapped with sterling silver wire. This bouquet of one hangs from an 18" (45.5 cm) sterling silver snake chain. The pendant measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/8" (5.5 cm x 2.7 cm)

All of the silver (both fine and sterling) has been oxidized and lightly sanded.

Deliciously faceted cranberry red pearls are topped with beautiful Bali silver beads and a faceted amethyst round. They are all hanging together on my signature handcrafted sterling silver earwires.

I started with a faceted cube of the deepest purple amethyst. Then I added a rondelle of opaque spurite followed by a faceted round amethyst bead. All are separated by sterling silver spacers, for accent.

This tone-on-tone look is quite compelling. And the contrast between the opacity of the spurite and the translucency of the amethyst creates a nice level of interest.

All of the silver is sterling and has been oxidized and lightly hand sanded.

These earrings are 7/8" (2.2 cm) from the bottom of the earwire. Total length is 1 1/2" (3.6 cm).

The faceted pink quartz teardrop beads in these earrings are of the palest pink. I have topped them with a full cluster of tiny white keshi pearls. These earrings are so soft and lovely. Perfectly feminine.
