Pinky is one of my more unusual pins. He has a different shape to my well-known Flapper inspired pins elsewhere in the Whskr store.

His shape was drawn onto cotton, which was stamped and stained with fabric paint before being machine sewn, carefully stuffed, and finally edged with Jo Sonja Rich Gold acrylic paint.

Pinky is a departure from my usual shapes for doll pins in that he has legs! I loved the handmade fabric I had made for him and he was just the shape for the idea I had. He is unusual but I find him very appealing!

Height/Materials : Height 5ins/14cms high. Face of moulded and painted clay with a slightly glossy varnish finish. A brooch pin is secured to his back with clear thread.

The Lace Knitter an Art Doll Pin Brooch

I was inspired to make the first of my knitting brooches, The Lace Knitter, by the silver charm she carries. She is quite a statement piece and will be loved by anyone who enjoys unusual and creative ideas.

'Lace' stands 5ins/14cms high, is feminine and pretty and dressed in the softest of pastel creamy orange shades (textile paint - Jacquard). She is hand drawn on cotton, hand stuffed and painted. Her small delicate arms that are separate from her body.

I had a lot of fun dressing my favourite knitter in a delicate skirt and shawl made from recycled lace fragments which I then embellished with hand sewn small tangerine glass beads and a tiny star sequin.

The Lace Knitter can be worn either as a pin brooch (sewn on the back) or hung on a ribbon as a cute piece of knitting art on your wall.

This is a substantial hand painted box, inspired by a visit to Russia, posters of the gorgeous onion domed buildings and postcards I have collected.

The black painted interior is liberally sprinkled with glitter so that it sparkles when it is opened, quite magical for a young girl keen on the ballet, or someone wanting to stash their treasures in a really special place.

The box is 33x23x13cms (length/width/height) 13/9/5 ins. approx. and made of craftwood (mdf) and is 1.51 kgs. It does not have interior shelves so is roomy and spacious for bundles of letters, your treasured bead stash or your jewelry collection

Postage within New Zealand is $12NZ by courier as the box is heavy craftwood/MDF. and $25US shipping overseas.

Sequin Sally an Art Doll Pin by Whskr

Sally is a pin full of surprises! She carries a small black rose and a little silver cat face.

I have made Sally from cotton, she is hand drawn then painted with high quality Jacquard fabric paint in a pretty feminine shade of lilac edged in sky blue.

Sally definitely wanted to show off so I dressed her in shining pink, mauve, and pearly sequins which I hand sewed into place, along with the ribbon rose and the cute little kitty face near the hem of her gown!

All this is topped off with a cute laser button face. I love the clear and defined featured I find on these buttons, they are a pleasure to incorporate into my work.

Sally will be sent in a chiffon gift bag for storage when not in use.

Steampunk Princess Art Doll Brooch Pin

This small member of the Steampunk Royal Family is about 5 ins/14 cms high and made of cotton. She is dressed in black Indian ink and tiny watch parts that are hand sewn, or glued, into place. All this is topped off with a peaceful pearly whitemoulded polymer clay face.

I love Steampunk, it is spectacular and fun, and when I found some tiny watch parts I just knew they would make a wonderful dress for my Steampunk Princess!

This Princess would look spectacular worn on the lapel of a jacket, or hung from a ribbon loop like a work of art on your wall as she has a brooch clip sewn on her back.

A fun scrabble tile pendant featuring an image of the cutest mutt!

The image has been glued with adhesive on to a genuine Scrabble tile which has a silver plated bail securely glued to the back.

The front is coated with a thick resin that is very shiny and looks almost like glass.

I just got addicted to making these lovely pendants! I wear them all the time, add them to cellphone charms! I can't leave them alone!!

Rose the Pink Beaded Art Doll Brooch Pin FFEST

Rose is an hand beaded pin. Each bead carefully sewn on my me, Whskr. I lost count of the number of folks who ask if I glue the beads on - but glue would just be SO much harder!!

This precious pin is embellished with the highest quality beads from Mill Hill and Gutterman all secured with Nymo thread, meaning she is less likely to break.

The slimline shape is modest but the colours are lovely; cream and palest lemon with a dress shape of pink glass beads - feminine without being too girly. The beads are all really set off by the cute pewter face - purchased in the USA.

Rose pin is stiff not bendy - as she is constructed from sturdy double layered pelmet vilene, and ithas a brooch back securely sewn to the reverse.

Size/Materials : Approx 3 ins/7.5 cms. Glass beads - Gutterman/Mill Hill. Rigid double layer vilene. Metal brooch back.

Whims Cotton Pre-Cut fabric Watercolour Quilt kit

I am not going to even start this kit so it's got to go to a good home!

It is a Whims Watercolour Quilt Kit (kitset) with fabric, instructions (slightly marked on one edge) and pattern to complete the projects illustrated which as far as my unquilter's eye can tell are three small quilt pictures are a Heron, Three Butterflies (not shown) and Two Swans.

All the squares of fabric are colour sorted and have not been taken out of the bag.

There is also a piece of black fabric for the black silhouettes. The finished sizes are approximately as follows: Butterfly 6" x 11", Heron 7 1/2" x 7 1/2", Swan 7 1/2" x 9" (without borders)
