Handmade OAK Sculpted Baby Angel Ornament

We are pleased to present these unique ornaments, "Babies Born Under a Heavenly Star", conceived in the studio of my mother, Share Hanehan. The 6" darlings are handmade using both clay sculpting and felt-needle sculpting methods. Their swaddled baby bodies are snug and warm in their wool felted blankets. The glittering star and their little heads, hands, and feet are all made individually from Sculpty clay.

This little pouter, a blond haired boy, would bring a smile to your face when you see him hanging on your tree. At 12" long, from top of star to bottom of baby, this ornament would make a special keepsake for anyone with a special baby in their lives, or as a reminder of the Holy Infant born under the star so long ago.

Share Hanehan is an upstate New York artist working out of her Saratoga Springs studio.

Little Needle Felted Snow Man

This little needle felted snowman is ready for snow! He's about 5" high and is made from cleaned and carded wool using a technique called needle felting, where the wool is poked hundreds and often thousands of times with a barbed needle to get the desired shape. He stands easily on his own on any flat surface. He has a sweet paper scrap face with antique bead buttons (they really look like coal up close!), a black paper top hat and a paper scarf. He holds a straw broom (he's ready to sweep the snow off his car!) :)

She's extra large (7" tall compared to the normal 3.5") and is one of a kind, made from spun cotton. This listing is for a spun cotton bride and groom that are just about ready to walk down the aisle. The only thing they still need is your personal touch. To finish them off, all you have to do is email me photos of your gorgeous selves and I will digitally antique your heads to match the look and feel of the piece (it'll look like you were married in the early 1900's!). I'll then print and cut them out and replace the round circles that are currently being used as place holders with antiqued photos of your own actual heads. The backs will be a mirrored image of the front. Look at the last photo for a finished example.

This particular couple is about 10" tall including the spun cotton arch they stand under. Their stand is embellished with vintage sheet music, silver glitter, and vintage pink pom pom trim. The groom is dressed in a black crepe paper suit trimmed with antique czech bead buttons and a crepe paper bow tie. The bride is in a paper and vintage lace gown. She wears a long tulle veil, holds a bouquet of vintage millinery flowers, and has a gold embedded rhinestone brooch. The crepe paper arch they stand under is embellished with white paper roses and two silver glass wedding bells.

This One of a Kind, needle felted sculpture is being offered for sale on Etsy from the studio of my mother, Sharon Hanehan.

Delila is a very tired white Halloween pumpkin patch baby made entirely from cleaned and carded wool using a technique called needle felting, where the wool is poked thousands of times with a barbed needle to get the desired shape. She is fairly sturdy with a delicate vine and leaf (not intended for use as a toy). She is about 6” tall and is hand painted. Her vine and leaf are moveable and can be arranged in different configurations. She is part of Sharon's Halloween Pumpkin Patch series that includes pumpkins with different facial expressions, based on real babies and people. All are one of a kind.

This One of a Kind, needle felted sculpture is being offered for sale on Etsy from the studio of my mother, Sharon Hanehan.

Ginny is a slightly cranky orange Halloween pumpkin patch baby made entirely from cleaned and carded wool using a technique called needle felting, where the wool is poked thousands of times with a barbed needle to get the desired shape. She is fairly sturdy with a delicate vine and leaf (not intended for use as a toy). She is about 6” tall and is hand painted. Her vine and leaf are moveable and can be arranged in different configurations. She is part of Sharon's Halloween Pumpkin Patch series that includes pumpkins with different facial expressions, based on real babies and people. All are one of a kind.

Sharon Hanehan is an upstate New York artist working out of her Saratoga Springs, New York studio.

This adorable little duo will melt you heart...or maybe not, they are sitting on an iceberg after all.

This lanky giraffe has a spun cotton body, hand spun using techniques similar to those of the early German artisans who created cotton ornaments for Christmas. He has been hand painted with carefully drawn facial features and is about 7" tall. He has cotton batting ears and fluffy horns, tail and main. He stands on a white glittery knoll edged in vintage story book paper. His arms, legs and neck are bendable. He'll be perfect for any giraffe collector (like myself!).

This spun cotton mermaid is "swimmingly" pretty! She is about 5" tall (not including her chenille stem hanger) and her body is made from solid cotton. She was hand spun using techniques similar to those of the early German artisans who created cotton ornaments for Christmas. She has a Victorian Era paper scrap head, a batting tail, crepe paper bra and a pearl necklace. She can hang anywhere from a white chenille stem. This pretty gal will charm you and yours.

Innnnntroducing...Sasha and Tasha, the famous acrobatic vixen twins!

Sasha and Tasha are part of my Woodland Circus Creatures everyday series. They are remakes of the original pair, but were made the exact same way. In their act, Sasha will balance and twist and jump and spin, all while balancing on sister Tasha's paws, head and tail! The twins were hand spun using techniques similar to those of the early German artisans who created cotton ornaments for Christmas. They were hand painted with sharp teeth and all and are about 7" tall, stand and both foxes included. They stand on a white glittered knoll with vintage sheet music trim which sits easily on any flat surface.
