Snickers is the leader of the pack. He is always playing rough with the dogs, and instigating trouble. I recently found a corner of the carpet, neatly scratched apart. I'm not sure you'll want Snickers, and I'm a bit worried about that....

Snickers is handknit from 100% wool. He is stuffed with clean wool, so he is super soft and squishy. Hhe wears overalls that slip on and off easily, also 100% wool. His face is simply embroidered. He is about 9" (23cm) tall.

Cho is a Japanese name that means butterfly, which describes this dolly perfectly. She loves to flit around, stopping to flutter a while, and sniff the flowers. She loves to hold your hand, too. She's really fun to be around, and always will put a little smile on your face.

Cho is sewn from a cotton fabric. She loves to wear her pink flowered tights. Her arms and face are linen, and her legs (tights) are cotton. Her hair is wool felt, so because of that I do recommend spot cleaning, or very gentle laundering. Her face is hand embroidered with cotton embroidery floss. She's stuffed with eco-fill, an eco friendly stuffing. She's about 14" tall, and is very soft and squishy.

The poncho in the picture is knit from hand spun, Shetland wool, 2 ply, chunky weight. The Shetland makes it very lightweight, and super warm.

Meet the Babushka Babies!
Babushka is the Russian name for Grandmother ~ these dolls are based on Russian Matryoshka nesting dolls.

Soft and cuddly - almost like a pillow - sewn from cotton fabrics, fleece faces, and chenille hair. They are stuffed with eco-fill, an eco friendly stuffing. You can toss them in the washing machine, but I do recommend air drying.

Each Babushka Baby measure about 8" tall. Perfect for taking on car rides, or sitting politely at tea parties.
Bubushka Babies are perfect for cuddling at night too!

I found a baby owl today! What is with all the babies showing up??
I wonder if I could get federal funding for the animal rescue that seems to be going on around here?

She's a very silly owl. She perched on my cereal bowl this morning and drank some milk - then she wanted to splash around in it! I had to put a stop to it...

Matilda is sewn from cotton fabrics. Her wings are cotton chenille, her face is organic cotton sherpa, her beak and eyes are wool felt, embroidered in place. She is stuffed with eco-fill, an eco friendly stuffing made from corn, and she stands (or perches) just under 9" (23cm).

She makes a very soft and peaceful hoo-ing sound. I think it's very relaxing.....I know she would make somebody a wonderful friend!

Lace Shawl Pattern

Great for advanced beginners who want to try an easy lace pattern!
This pattern also shows a border in the third picture, which is your choice to knit or not to knit.

Specs: Size 13 circular needles, 500-700 yards of almost any fiber. A row counter is helpful too, and markers (I use little snippets of different colored wool for markers!)

Owlet, a knitted baby owl

We have a nesting pair of Great Horned Owls nearby. I'm not sure if this is one of their babies, or where he came from!
I heard him early this morning, making a baby hooo-ing sound. He seems hungry, but I'm not sure what to feed him!

Hmmm, he likes Cheerios!

This little knitted owl baby is made from suri alpaca - so soft! He is stuffed with eco fill, an eco friendly stuffing. His face is embroidered with wool, and his little feet are wool too. He stands about 4 1/2" (11cm) tall.

He's learning to fly; my dogs and cats are not sure what to make of him. Uh Oh, lunch??

Oh My! Look what I found in the garden today! This adorable trio of woodland pixies!

There are 3 pixies, each is 3 1/2" tall from toes to tip of hat.
Each one is wearing a felt outfit that has been hand-embroidered, and a pixie hat.
Each one has mohair hair.
Made in the Waldorf tradition (no facial expressions, the child gets to decide if their pixie is happy or sad).

1. Maroon felt dress/pink hat/fair complexion
2. purple dress, light blue hat/light brown complexion
3. blue shirt and pants, dark complexion

Not recommended for a young child that still mouths their toys - contains small parts.

Garden gnome, a knitted friend

I found this guy in the garden this morning. He's a bit shy, and not very talkative. But I was wondering why my plants were looking so well tended. Gnomie has been taking care of them!

Gnomie is handknit from all wool, and is stuffed with clean, carded, wool, that makes him so soft and squishy. He's the perfect size to be carried in a little one's fist, or pocket. To the tip of his hat, he is 7 1/2" tall.

This little lacey doll is a petite little lady, who loves tea parties and playing dress-up.

She is a little wooden doll, standing 2" (5cm) tall. She is painted with non-toxic green and blue, and then is coated in a clear non-toxic water-based varnish.

Becky is wearing her favorite little lace dress, which secures with a snap in the back. You can take it on and off!

She will come to you in a little organza bag, all ready for gift giving.

Not recommended for little people that might still put little people in their mouths. Ages 4+.
