This is an original painting (NOT a print, or giclee etc.). It was inspired by the Cat Stevens song, which is actually not about death but about about him missing her so much, it felt like she was dead. Anyway, it's one of my favorite Cat Stevens songs.

I used acrylic paint, glossy varnish, medium, tissue paper, stencil, paper items, and glitter glue (doesn't flake off like regular glitter). Basically, if you like what you see in the photos, you're sure to love it much more in person. The colors are more vibrant and there's a luscious glossy varnish over the top to protect it and give it that wet shiny look. I also painted the edges so there's no need to frame it.

In case you're curious, here's what inspired this design: I was describing the flavor of those frozen diet chicken meals to my fiance (now husband). I won't say the brand, but it's supposed to be "healthy". This was a few years ago now- I think they've improved somewhat since. Anyway, at the time, the chicken tasted like fish (not good sushi fish, but sort of fishy chicken). And I said, "I don't know WHERE they get this ASS CHICKEN from..." And that how Ass Chicken was born. Then that started a whole series of "Poor little" designs.

What you have here is a reproduction of my original "Secret Smile" painting printed onto a 4.25 x 4.25 tile and framed in a 6 x 6 inch cherrywood frame. The artwork is completely sealed into the face of the tile, which has a glossy smooth finish. There are holes in the back of the frame for easy hanging.
