I've been diving for almost 20 years all over the world. After thousands of dives, you get pretty good at spotting elusive species. But even after all this time, I have only found a handful of seahorses on my own.

Maybe that's why I love them so much, because they're so elusive. So peaceful. So gentle.

This lovely seahorse is captured for all eternity on this etched copper pendant. Hand-sawn from a piece of copper sheet, etched, selectively patinated, domed and coated with a microcrystalline wax finish to protect it.

Hangs from a soldered sterling silver jumpring. Add your own chain, or on request I'll add in an 18" sterling silver tinsel chain for $10 more (send me a convo).

Approximately 1 1/2" in diameter.

The photo of the seahorse in my listing was taken in Bonaire in September 2009. She was one of two we saw on that trip, and I did not harm her in any way by taking her photo.

My Karma Rox earrings (inspired by the inimitable KarmaRox) are my number one most popular pair of earrings. I just had to complete the set with this gorgeous necklace.

This one is a one-of-a-kind (sort of like Karma herself). Once this necklace is gone, it's gone.

This gorgeous necklace has all the components of the KarmaRox earrings: hand-hammered and pierced copper disks that glow like only copper can, twisted and antiqued sterling silver rings and shiny smooth pure silver rings (soldered for strength, of course). But these handformed metal beauties are joined together by a big, bold polished shell donut of about 2 3/8" diameter. This shell piece flashes all the colors of the rainbow and is slightly concave.

The necklace itself is made up of the highest quality smooth brown Greek leather cording, lashed together with fine strands of sterling silver wire and it closes with a pretty pure copper "S" clasp with a flower motif.

The necklace is 18" long and has about a 2" drop for the shell.

How's Karma treating you these days? She's been a wonderful friend to me. In her honor, I present these gorgeous handcrafted earrings.

Made up of hand-hammered perforated disks of warm copper, soldered solid fine silver rings and antiqued twisted sterling rings, all hanging companionably from a simple sterling earwire.

The copper is uncoated to allow it to mellow to a nice patina. If you prefer your copper shiny and new, it can be coated with acrylic or polished with microcrystalline wax (by you). What you do with your hammered copper is your business!

Much like their namesake, these earrings are attention-getting without having to shout, stylishly trendy without being faddish, and funky fun without being childish.

Overall length, including the earwires, is a hair under 2".
