Birds make music...

Here is a darling altered bottle, in a bird theme. The bottle is full of old white buttons, great for display or organization.

The bottle is clear glass, 5" tall and 1 3/4" in diameter. It is full of white vintage buttons gathered in my treasure hunts. There is a cork in the top of the bottle, then wire wrapped around the lip for hanging, with clear beads and frosted hearts and feathers. I tied a sheer pale pink ribbon around it also.

On the front is a vintage image of a robin's nest, then a snippet of music that says "birds make music" Sooo cute!

This is a one of a kind item, and from my smoke free home.

Here is a set of 3 small vintage lusterware plates, in an Asian theme and fall colors! Great for serving cookies and tea, or for display.

You get all 3 plates shown here. They are each 5 1/2" in diameter. They are done in a burnt orange, with a turquoise blue/green border. The design is done in green, white, yellow, orange and blue.

These are marked "Made in Japan" small on the bottom. They are in good condition, with a fair amount of scratches, pitting and crazing. However, I don't find any chips or scratches. They are freshly handwashed.

Shabby Vintage Memories...

I love decorating with old bowls, whether it's filling them with a vignette as shown here or using them to store my supplies, lotions and nail polish, etc. They even make bills look pretty!

This is an ivory antique china bowl, 9" in diameter and about 2 1/2" tall. It has the scalloped edge, with a rose design in coral, and shades of pink and green.

Inside the bowl, I've placed an approx. 8" ecru crocheted doily, a vintage hand towel with a pink, green, and lavender stitched design and scalloped pink edging...a vintage pair of ladies' gloves still in the package, a cabinet card of a baby, a card of LaMode white buttons, some small old sewing scissors, and a vintage wood spool with pink thread around it!

One of a kind gathering and from my smoke free home. I am including insurance in the shipping cost, to protect you!

Here is an ADORABLE heart shaped paper mache box, full of crafting "candy" Makes a great gift for someone special, or for you...you deserve it!

The box here is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2", and 3" deep. It is paper mache, painted the perfect shade of baby pink, and white inside. On the lid, I did a collage with decorative paper, a vintage Valentine postcard image from a collage sheet by ducttapeanddenim, a big pink and gold embossed paper heart that says "the very thought of you" and has a pink flower with gemstone center, Valentine postage stamp, and pink grosgrain ribbon. There is also a paper skeleton key with a glittery pink heart, and the word bubble "I Heart You"...so cute! All the papers were shaded with light brown ink, and the box is lined with white shredded paper.

Inside the box, you get a 60" strand of white pearl trim, one of my 2" tiny treasure tins full of white and red buttons, 2 vintage test tubes full of buttons, one in light pink and one in hot pink...5 mini cards with Woodstock holding a bouquet of red flowers, 5 hot pink vintage playing cards with a darling puppy, and 5 different ATC background papers in a sewing theme.

Here is a darling, one of a kind altered paper mache house box, great for organizing your crafting supplies, photos,and more! Too too cute!

The box is 8" long, 6 1/2" tall and 6" deep. It is left natural inside and the bottom is filled with pink and white shredded paper!

I painted the box in The Perfect Shade of Baby Pink, and the roof is white. The box was distressed, then I used a cute glittered pink pattern cardstock on the roof. Glitter letters spell out "Love Shack" Marquee style! I used a pink silk flower with a big gemstone for the "O"

On the front is a pink and white label, for you to personalize or label the box! It also has crystal gemstones on it.

Inside, you get lots of crafting goodies, including

Here's another item from Granny's attic...this had been stored 20 years before I found it!

This is a small ceramic urn...4 1/2" tall and 1 1/2" in diameter at the bottom. At it's widest, it is about 3 1/2"

This has delicate flowers painted on the sides as well as the lid, in pink, purple and green...very sweet. There is some gold trim around the knob on top too.

The bottom says "Fred Roberts Co. San Francisco Made in Japan" and has a yellow streetcar graphic in the center.

No chips or flaws on this that I can find!

Tea parties and roses....

Here is a vintage ceramic teapot, creamy white with a basketweave background, and pink, green and blue rose designs on each side.

The pot is 7" tall with the lid, and 7" wide with the handle and spout. It has a plug on one side, and the heating element and cord are with it, but personally I would not risk it, and only use this for decoration!

This is in great shape. There is some tape residue which I did not get off, but you may know a trick for removing it. There are no more flaws that I can find. It says "120v, 350W" the bottom, which I assume refers to the electric part.

There is a large rose design on one side, with a smaller one on the back. There is a thin gold line around the spout, lid, and handle.

Here is a beautiful one of a kind collage, which features a diamond shaped photo of a little girl and baby. This is the actual photo, not a copy! It is backed by old fashioned rose paper. Under the photo is part of a page from an old hymnal, pressed flowers in shades of purples, and a vintage crocheted flower.

Over the Summer Sea Altered Vintage Mirror Whimsical Nostalgic Ornament OOAK

Over the Sea...

Okay, I love this one! It turned out so pretty and perfectly grungy chic! Would look amazing on a shabby or Victorian Christmas tree, and can be left out all year! Would make a great gift too! This is a one of a kind item.

This is a small vintage mirror from my treasure hunts. It is framed in an ornate antique gold plastic frame. It is covered with red velvet on the back, and says "Hand Made in Italy" "Italia" "Another RDE Import" Then it has in pen 521-G

Over the mirror, I did a collage with a scalloped oval cut from vintage sheet music, a oval photo of a group of women on the beach, and the title from the old songbook, "Over the Summer Sea"

The mirror had a small loop for hanging, so I tied some crinkly dyed seam binding ribbon in a cream color through it and then added some peach colored vintage millinery type flowers, and sprinkled them with gold glitter, to resemble sand :)

Size on this is 3 3/4" wide and 5" tall, not including the flowers and ribbon. It is about 1/2" thick. There is a small border of mirror showing, which will nicely reflect the lights on the Christmas tree :)

The frame is in excellent shape, the mirror in it is a little loose, which is to be expected and there is some wear on the back. Very nice vintage appeal!

Here is a vintage 1970's print, framed in a heavy gold plastic frame. They were manufactured by Dart Industries and made in the USA. This is another Granny Chic find from a time capsule like attic!

The frame is gold toned plastic in an ornate design, with vines, flowers and scrollwork. It is a tall and narrow 23" x 8 1/2" and 1" thick.

Inside the frame is a print of a bouquet of flowers, in an old world design; at the base of it's tall and thin vase lies a set of grapes. The colors in the print are cream, pink, purple, peach, green and gray, all in muted tones. It has a handpainted texture like an oil painting.

Great for your shabby, vintage or retro decor. Don't tell the vintage purists I said this, but it would be very pretty to paint the frame white and distress it for a cottage look. Even black paint would be sharp!

It is cleanly finished on the back and has a hanger allready attatched.

Here is a super pretty set of my hand dyed aged tags, these are my large approx. 2"x5" tags, stained a dark splotchy brown with natural walnut ink. The chandelier is stamped and embossed in black, as is the Cherish definition. The chandelier is accented with a small pink crystal gem....so pretty!

Here is a darling vintage style glass jar with scalloped sides and a silver metal lid. I embellished the lid with a scalloped circle of vintage sheet music, a collage image of 2 little girls, and the caption, "bed of roses".

Here is a great treasure from my hunting!

This is a glass powder jar, with an olive green lid that I believe is celluloid. The green is marbled with a lighter green and has some brown in the center.

The jar is a cute squatted shape, size is 5" in diameter and 2 1/2" tall. There are some light scratches in the lid, otherwise it is in excellent condition!

I can't leave a box empty, so I filled it with an assortment of old buttons from my stash, in greens, shades of white and black. There are few big green wood beads too!

Memories of a lovely evening...

Here is a pretty heart shaped box I found on one of my treasure hunts, full of lovely vintage buttons!

The box is a glass heart shape, and the lid is heavy silver, with a pretty scalloped cut out design. In the center of the lid, I added the words "lovely evening" cut from an old song book and sealed them with a bit of gloss sealer. I did not attempt to polish the lid, it is lightly tarnished.

The box is 4"x4" and 1 1/4" tall.

Inside it is full of assorted vintage buttons from my stash, in aqua, turquoise, white, black and green. They are topped with a turquoise paper flower!

Great studio organization, for the bedroom or for a gift!

Here is a group of 3 small antique plates, all in shades of pink, with gold rims and roses.

The smallest saucer is made by Jyoto China in Occupied Japan,from the 1940's. It is in excellent condition, white with a metallic gold ribbbon, and pink, brown and green roses around the scalloped edges. Size is 4 3/4" in diameter.

The second is Queen Anne fine bone china, made in England. It is 5 1/2" round, white with roses in 2 shades of pink and green leaves. It has a metallic gold rim also.

The largest plate is my favorite. It is 6 1/4" in diameter, and has the blue mountain and Japan on the bottom. Its "flaw" is the pink writing on the bottom, that I assume came from some type of sale. The edges of the plate have a pretty aqua blue, with gold stars and swirls, plus the pink roses with metallic gold leaves. This one does have some wear, and a tiny chip on the rim.

I love these little plates for all kinds of uses. I use them to hold small amounts of supplies in the studio, or in the bedroom and bathroom to hold jewelry, soaps, or make up. Pretty hung on the wall, propped in a cupboard, or holding a candle. Or hey, you could even eat off them!

I love this set, it would make a wonderful gift for anyone who loves animals, or vintage things! This is a one of a kind set!

Here you are getting the set of 3 boxes in graduated sizes...they measure 4", 5" and 6" in diameter, and are 2", 2 1/2" and 3" tall! I painted the boxes black on the outside, distressed and antiqued them. They are stained a warm brown inside and finished with a clear acrylic sealer (with no brush marks)!

On the top of each is a collage, all in black and shades of cream. I used vintage look French script paper for a background, then bits of old postcard tissue paper, reproduced vintage photos of young girls and their pets, vintage anagram pieces, words cut from an old childrens' book and more in aged collages.

Puppy Love...

This is so cute! This is one of my small spiral bound notebooks, with a natural brown chipboard cover and 10 "brown paper bag" pages. Size is 3" x 4" There is a key ring attatched to the spiral, to attatch it to a bag or key!

On the front, I did a collage with a cute black and white floral paper, a vintage photo collage image of a lady and her dog, black typewriter key letter stickers that spell "DOG", and "puppy love" word strip. Each of the flowers along the bottom has a crystal gem in the center. Adorable!

Peaches and Cream....

Here is a fun little item found on one of my treasure hunts! Its a little crocheted thread holder, done in Peach and Cream yarn with a cardboard circle in the bottom to hold its shape into a little lidded box of sorts. When I got it, it was held closed with a tiny aged safety pin. There are a few small holes around the bottom, but its still darn cute!

Size on this is about 3 1/2" in diameter, and 1" tall.

Inside are 4 spools of soft threads, in shades of brown. Sweet.

Fine Bone China Teacup and Saucer with Pink Roses and Gold Very Pretty

Here is a very pretty vintage teacup and a coordinating saucer. They are not a set, but are perfect together and so pretty!

The cup is marked on the bottom Royal Albert Bone China, England, "Serena" with a pink crown. It is about 2" tall and 3" in diameter, not including the handle. It has gold around the rim, base and handle. It has a gold fern border around the outside, with bouquest of pink, yellow and green flowers on each side. Inside is a burst of the fern design, large pink roses, and other blue, yellow and purple flowers. Absolutely beautiful! I cannot find any flaws on this.

The saucer is 4 3/4" in diameter and also flawless, as far as I can see. On the bottom it is marked c8268 Tuscan Fine English Bone China Made in England "Naples" with a winged crown in green. On the top, it is painted with a gold scalloped rim, with deep berry red, and gold scalloped border, then in the center are pink roses with yellow flowers, green leaves, etc

Insurance is added to the shipping on these items for both of our protection! Will be shipped in a box with plenty of protective packaging!

The Antique Ballerina Vintage PINK Pincushion Makedo with TuTu and Flowers

The Antique Ballerina...

This is sooo over the top pink froufrou that is almost funny...yet has a certain vintage pink appeal, and it definately puts the "shabby" in "shabby chic." It reminds me of a "vintage" woman who still dresses in her decades old glamour, and bright pink lipstick!

anyway, I found this old gal on one of my treasure hunts, looking very lonely and forgotten, and I just knew someone out there would love to give her a new home!

This is a pincushion, covered in a textured pink fabric. It is mounted on a glass candlestick base, and wears a dingy pink net tutu, with a belt of old plastic pink flowers which barely meets in the back. Her pink top is stained on one side, and her skirt and flowers are dusty, but she still is sitting pretty in her faded finery.

I did not try to clean this, other than wiping the plastic flowers off with a damp rag.

She comes with all the pins and needles I found her with...partly because they are hard to get out! But there is several safety pins, white pearl top and solid white pins, and a pretty pink one too. The another yellow one, and some plain ones.

She's sitting by my computer, on pins and needles, waiting for her prince to come and rescue her....

These are my large approx 2"x5" hand dyed manilla tags. They are stained with acid free, eco friendly, non toxic walnut dye, and have stained cotton strings.

You get the 6 shown, Adore, Moments, Future, Delight, Sweet, Thoughts. Each one features a bakcground torn from an old songbook, an antique photo collage image (not the real photo), some with color. The images are inked around the edges to add to the vintage look, and have a layered word embellishment.

My Forever Love...

Here is a gorgeous OOAK collage, made by me as a design team project for ducttapeanddenim.

The collage is under glass, in a 7"x9" wood carved frame, which I handpainted, distressed and antiqued to give it a great vintage cottage look! The frame can sit or hang, and is 1/2" thick.

The collage is done with various vintage papers, including music and text, in English and German. The lovely couple is surrounded by butterflies, a heart, and below them, Amore, Forever and je t'aime scalloped pieces. For a finishing touch, there are 2 vintage German postage stamps, and a piece of white lace. The piece was antiqued and colored with browns and a touch of pink.

Here is an antique bone china teacup, with a mismatched saucer, all in pink roses!

The cup is marked "Made in England, Bone China, Rosina" on the bottom with a pink crown and rose. It is 2 3/4" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter at the top. This is a repaired piece, there is a crack on the front, in the rose design, it is very hard to tell from the outside, and more noticeable inside. Not good for drinking from, but still fine for display, and its such a pretty piece despite it's flaw! It has an ice blue border around the top, with a spray of pink roses, green leaves, and small blue and yellow flowers. On the back is a single rose. The border, handle, base and inside the rim all have a gold stripe.

The saucer does not go with the cup originally, but they were found at the same time, and just seemed to belong together! The plate is 5 3/4" in diameter and 1" tall. It It has a scalloped edged, lined with gold, and small pink roses around the diameter. On the bottom it says "Extra Touch by FTD Made in Japan" Other than some wear marks on the base, I do not find any flaws in the saucer.

The Merry Christmas tags are 2"x3" ovals with scalloped edges. The Santa tags are 2"x3 1/4", with scalloped and punched edges, very lacy and old fashioned looking!

This wood crown ornament is painted aqua blue, and accented with a chipboard, acrylic and glittered layered snowflake, in white and silver. The tip of each point has a cobalt blue gem, and it hangs from a silver wire.

Here is an altered art ornament, featuring an Olde World Santa making his annual journey.

The ornament is glass, soldered around the edges, with a silver ring tied with pale green seam binding ribbon. The front and back are vintage sheet music. The Santa image is from a vintage postcard, and I added the word "journey". All the papers are inked for a more vintage look.

Here is a very pretty oversized ornament, like snowflakes, it is one of a kind!

The ornament is made of wood and measures 7 1/2" in diameter, and 1/4" thick. I painted the star white and distressed it, then added a lopsided star cut from vintage French sheet music. I topped that with 2 layered white glittered snowflakes, and an old aqua button. The paper star is edged in sterling silver glass glitter. The ornament hangs from a silver wire loop.

Here is a very pretty shabby chic style Christmas sign. It is one of a kind!

The wood sign is 6"x8" and 1/4" thick. The collage is done with vintage music paper, a Victorian style image of 2 little girls with a pine tree on a wood sled, and a Christmas banner. It is embellished with a brass colored metal charm, a brown glittered chipboard florish, and sterling glass glitter. The sign hangs from a rusty wire, tied with a pale pink seam binding ribbon and a gold colored vintage glass bell ornament.

The back is plain painted black.

Joy to the World...

Here is a great one of a kind altered art ornament, assembled from various vintage and vintage style finds!

The base of this is a 5 1/2" black ceramic plate with a scalloped edge. In the center, I did a collage with old sheet music, a reproduction vintage Christmas postcard, silver glass glitter and a white banner that says "Joy to the World" in green.

Tied to the top of the ornament are 2 antique glittered bells, one with a green glass clapper and the other with silver. They are tied on with cream colored crinkled seam binding ribbon, and accented with a red satin ribbon rose.

This is a little heavier, so it will need a sturdy branch if you hang it on the tree. You could also hang it from a peg or nail, on a wreath or garland, or propped up in greens like shown in the photos.

Here is an antique postcard, in used condition. It is done in white, metallic gold, purple, yellow and red. It says "You look good to me", with painsies, a gold swan, and fruit at the bottom.

The back is addressed and sign, and has a partial postmark and one cent stamp. Standard postcard size, 3 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Here is an antique Christmas postcard, in gently used condition. It features 2 pretty blue birds overlooking a water scene, surrounded by daisies, pink ribbon and an aqua blue border. The front says "Health and Happiess Attend Your Birthday."

Here is a darling vintage china souvenir cup, in excellent condition! A great addition to your collection!

The cup is 2 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter. It made of china, with a mother of pearl glaze and metallic gold accents. In the bottom is a matador and bull, in brown, yellow and purple. It also says "Souvenir of Mexico"

My school days...

Here is a sweet altered ornament for your Christmas Tree. Makes a special gift too!

This is made with a tiny silver tray found on one of my junking trips. The tray measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2", not counting the silver wire hanger. It is 1/4" deep.

Inside the tray I tucked a real old school photo (not a copy) with "my school days" cut from an old book. I then added cream seam binding ribbon and a glittery white snowflake.

The tray is plain on the back, other than the original "Silver Plated HOng Kong" sticker.

Happy Holidays Huge Victorian Cone full of Shabby Goodies OOAK

Happy Holidays...

Here is a huge paper mache cone, which I painted ivory, distressed and antiqued, then altered with a vintage woman collage image, a paper banner and edged the top with sparkly vintage style silver tinsel! The cone hangs from silver wire, with one of my grungy tags tied to it.

The cone is 12" long and 5" in diameter at the top. The wire adds another 8"!

Inside the cone is shredded brown paper, topped with 5 2" vintage glass Christmas bulbs and 1 1" ball. Colors are aqua, silver, and gold. There is also 3 tiny 2" bottlebrush trees. A strand of vintage pink plastic beads, which have become tarnished over time.

So pretty and one of a kind item! From my smoke free home :)

Innocence...

Here is a sweet pink Christmas tree box, with a tiny butterfly fairy! Makes a great gift (you can tuck a little something inside!) or addition to your holiday decor.

The box is made of wood, and measures 6"x4" and 1 1/2" thick. I painted the box baby pink, and lightly distressed it, and sealed it with satin sealer. The box lid has tiny but strong magnets that hold it in place, and can stand up nicely on its own.

On the lid, I used vintage sheet music in the center, and added the tiny girl with silk butterfly wings and bitty antennas over her head...so cute! I also added a white glittered snowflake, with the word "innocence" edged in silver glitter.

On the star on top, I used a big vintage starburst acrylic button, covered in clear fine glitter.

This is not recommended for children, due to its delicate design.

This is sooo cute! I found it on one of my treasure hunts, in a box of old ornaments. A tag on the string says "Made in Japan"

The doll is 4 1/2" tall, and has plastic head, arms, and legs with are attatched to a stand, so she stands up well! She has a white felt lace trimmed hat, molded blond braids, and a red felt dress with a pink skirt, overlayed with lace, sequins, a velvet bow and other shiny trim! She hangs from a gold cord.

Great for hanging on your vintage or shabby style tree, or standing in a vignette!

My Dear Love...

Here is a pretty altered art ornament, it is one of a kind!

The ornament is a 3" in diameter paper mache ball, painted cream, then distressed and aged for a vintage look. It has a sprinkling of old fashioned mica flakes on top like it's been snowed on, and some teeny tiny white buttons scattered around the title "My Dear Love", which is cut from an old book. It hangs from red vintage style tinsel, with another white button, which holds one of my small 1x3 hand dyed tags. On the tag is a vintage photo collage image of a young woman and another old button.

The ornament has been sealed with a matte sealer for protection.

Snow In Love Altered Paper Mache Box with Snow Globe So Shabby Sweet

Snow in love...

How cute is this? This is the first of my snowglobe boxes, from my "Merry and Bright" Christmas collection! I am "snow in love" with it myself and can't wait to make more!

Okay, this is a paper mache box, with a clear plastic dome in the center of the lid. I painted the box a mossy blue/green color, distressed and aged it, and sealed it with satin sealer. Then I embossed clear snowflakes on it, and overstamped with antique metallic gold snowflakes, and distressed it again. I wanted it to look like a box you'd find in Grandma's attic, and I think I acheived that look.

But the best part...inside the dome is a collage with a layered vintage postcard image of a little girl whispering to her snowman. I accented it with a soft powdery white glitter that looks so much like snow, then poured in a bunch of vintage style mica flakes, which are loose, for a snowglobe look! The dome is as tightly sealed as I can make it, but you may experience a bit of "glitter leakage" if you shake it too much!

The inside of the box is the same blue/green moss color, but is not aged.

oh, the size is 4"x7 1/4" x 5 1/2" The dome adds another 1/2" or so. Great for gift giving, decorating, and storing your vintage or handmade ornaments in after the holiday!

Here is one of my brand new altered baby shoe ornaments! Great for your shabby decor, or for that special little girl in your life!

The shoe here is a 4 1/4" long pink mary jane type shoe, with little hearts cut out on the side and a darling little buckle! It is not old, and has a soft sole! Come, Thou Almighty King...

This is the second of my snowglobe boxes, from my "Merry and Bright" Christmas collection!

This is a paper mache box, with a clear plastic dome in the center of the lid. I painted the box a cream color, distressed and aged it, and sealed it with satin sealer. Then I embossed gold snowflakes on it, and overstamped with antique metallic gold snowflakes, and distressed it again. I wanted it to look like a box you'd find in Grandma's attic, and I think I acheived that look.

But the best part...inside the dome is a collage with a vintage postcard image of a gathering of Angels.I accented it with a gold glitter and a gold banner with the hymn title on it.

The size is 10"x8"x5 1/4" The dome adds another 2" or so. Great for gift giving, decorating, and storing your vintage or handmade ornaments in after the holiday!

Here is a new set of cork magnets, in a vintage Bird theme...you get 2 here, they are each 4" square and 1/8" thick, the back is covered with a sheet magnet.

I used vintage bird images from Lazy Day Creations on these, along with bits and pieces of old and old looking papers, words cut from an old children's book, and cork letters. Everything is inked for an aged look, and they are sealed with a crystal clear glaze!
