The Painted Sock Too is my fingering weight sock yarn. It is a blend of 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon, making it machine washable and dryable and quite durable. Knits up at 7-8 stitches per inch on US size 1-2 needles. Each 100 gram/3.5 ounce skein has approximately 435 yards, enough for a pair of average adult socks. Each skein is hand dyed by The Painted Sheep. This skein is in my Woodrose colorway - shades of pink and purple.

The Painted Sock Too is my fingering weight sock yarn. It is a blend of 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon, making it machine washable and dryable and quite durable. Shimmer is my merino/tencel blend sport weight yarn. Its a beautiful blend of 50% superwash merino and 50% tencel. It has a wonderfully soft hand and an amazing drape. The tencel in Shimmer gives it an incredible sheen when its dyed. Shimmer knits up at 6.5-7.5 stitches per inch on US 3-5 needles. Each 100 gram skein is approximately 400 yards. Shimmer is machine washable and dryable, making it an ideal choice for socks and baby knits. The drape makes it great for shawls and scarves as well. This top-down unisex sock in four sizes features a knit/purl motif which is enhanced by using a yarn that has a bit of sheen. Knits and purls are arranged in the motif to wind up the foot and leg like kites or ribbons in the wind.
Sock is easily converted to toe-up construction, as the pattern is vertically reversible and may be resized by using different yarn weights or needles.

Suggested Yarns: Any sock yarn that will knit to correct gauge, such as The Painted Sheep's Painted Sock Too.

Finished Size:
S(M, L, XL), to fit feet measuring up to 7(8.5, 10, 11.5) inches in circumference

A pretty, semi-sheer stole in two sizes [petite(tall)], with a meandering vine stitch motif. Knit in two pieces from the hem to the center back, then grafted together, it has an attached edging of dainty, openwork points. A good knitting project for a beginning or intermediate lace knitter, and a quick knit for a more experienced knitter.

Suggested Yarns: Any fine yarn which has approximately 400 yards per 2 ounces, such as The Painted Sheep's Jasmine.

Finished Size: Stole: Unblocked dimensions: approximately 18(21) inches wide and 60(68) inches long
Finished dimensions: 21(24)” W X 72(80)” L (stretched and blocked, or desired length)

Merlot Vine Sock Pattern

A toe-up sock with an asymmetrically placed openwork pattern of leaves, that winds up the foot and around the leg, ending in an eyelet rib at the top edge.

Suggested Yarns: Any sock yarn that knits to 8 sts per inch, such as The Painted Sheep's Painted Sock Too. A springy yarn with a higher twist is recommended to help sock keep its shape.

Finished Size: 8” sock circumference to fit feet up to 9” around. Sock may be made smaller or larger by using finer or heavier yarn and/or changing needle size.

Shimmer Handpainted Merino Tencel Yarn in Mocha

Shimmer is my merino/tencel blend sport weight yarn. Its a beautiful blend of 50% superwash merino and 50% tencel. It has a wonderfully soft hand and an amazing drape. The tencel in Shimmer gives it an incredible sheen when its dyed. Shimmer knits up at 6.5-7.5 stitches per inch on US 3-5 needles. Each 100 gram skein is approximately 400 yards. Shimmer is machine washable and dryable, making it an ideal choice for socks and baby knits. The drape makes it great for shawls and scarves as well. Each skein is individually handpainted by The Painted Sheep. This skein is in my Mocha colorway - deep rich shades of chocolate and cinnamon.
