Super nice yearling mohair! 1 oz. of white washed yearling mohair from one of our angora goats. Mohair from our angora goats is grown, sheared, handskirted and handwashed right here on our southeastern Pennslyvania family farm. The mohair is washed three times and rinsed twice. Dyes up wonderfully or use for Santa beards! The possibilities are endless! Staple length is approx. 3". We have a large herd of white and colored angora goats, border leicester sheep and babydoll southdown sheep.

2 oz. of soft, springy and super clean Olde English Southdown Babydoll Wool. Natural colored wool in wonderful misty shades of grey!

Babydoll sheep are a miniature breed of sheep with a unique type of wool. Short staple of 1 to 3" that is very springy and bouncy not unlike other fine wools. The spiraling nature of the wool makes it easy to control. Micron count of 19-22 similar to cashmere.Many more barbs per inch than any other wool making it an excellent fiber to blend with angora or mohair.

Yummy super soft Corriedale/BL lambswool from our sweet ewe lamb Lady. Washed carefully three times rinsed twice then dried in the Pennslyvania country sunshine. Staple length of 5" unstretched, nice soft crimp...takes dye beautifully and spins up like a dream.

Some VM remains will fall out when prepping the wool and some of the tips are yellowed but will disappear when pulled apart.

Julia was a Little Harvest Witch for Halloween last year! I just loved the colors of her costume so I repeated them in this roving...Lol the theme for Octobers Phatfiber box is Masquerade Ball...just for the wee ones!

2 oz. of homemade...from our goats and sheep...mohair and wool. 33% yearling mohair and 66% Corriedale/Border Leicester cross wool. Kettle dyed and then sent to a local family run mill where it is processed into roving.

If you have never spun local mill processed roving you are in for a treat! It is much easier to draft than commercially prepared roving/top and you can feel good knowing it came from a family farm and a family mill!

Natural colored Brown Border Leicester Wool Locks. 1 oz. of super soft and clean washed locks perfect for doll hair or to spin or felt. Farm fresh fiber from our southeastern Pennslyvania family farm!

We have a large herd of Angora goats, Border Leicester cross sheep and Babydoll sheep. We raise each animal, feed and care for them and then harvest their fiber. Once shearing has been completed we carefully skirt (clean) the fiber of large debris. If selling washed we carefully wash it three times and rinse twice. All of our fiber that is dyed is hand dyed by us in large kettles and made ready for sale. We take great pride in our farm and our work and are sure you will be pleased with your purchase.

Farm fresh blend of 1 oz. kid and yearling black mohair that has been overdyed in shades of blue to purple...magenta to pink...and several lovely shades of green.

Mohair is from our own hand raised angora goats who live here on our family farm in southeastern Pennslyvania. The mohair is carefully skirted, washed and then kettle dyed here on our farm.

Locks can be carded and then spun. They could be blended with other fibers then spun up into a yummy yarn or they could be felted and used that way. I have spun them right out of the bag to add texture a bulky yarn.
