Deep red garnets surround a pale pink rose quartz teardrop in the shape of an abstract heart. Garnet rimmed scrolls form a crown above.

The centerpiece hangs from a double strand of garnets and rose quartz rounds, accented with sterling silver beads and small rose quartz briolettes. The necklace is finished off with a handmade sterling silver and garnet toggle clasp.

The focal point of this necklace measures 3 1/8" wide and 3" long (including the bottom briolette). Total length of the necklace (including the top edge of the focal point) is 18 1/2" with the toggle clasp closed.

A piece of copper, textured to look like tree bark, is surrounded by coiled sterling silver wire.

Chain is 18" long. The pendant is approximately 3/4" wide and 1 1/2" long (including the bail).

This piece is a result of some experimenting I have been doing with texture on flat metals. This one has been sanded to achieve a brushed finish, then engraved with a dremel tool to create an appearance similar to tree bark. The details are not as deeply embedded into the copper as etching would be, so the surface still feels somewhat smooth while giving an appearance of deeper texture. This piece was then oxidized and polished to highlight the details.
