memento from the underworld

$15.00
Title: memento from the underworld
Photographer: Elinor Scott-Sutter
5"x7" on Kodak Edge paper
Lab printed from a high resolution, lossless Portable Network Graphics file

Positive magic and painted light... These are but a couple of ways to describe the ephemeral magic of Polaroid Time-Zero film, ephemeral because Polaroid stopped manufacturing Time-Zero film in 2006. Though the currently available film is now expired, the vintage SX-70 cameras for which the film was designed are still around and functioning. The original Polaroid was taken with an SX-70 Model 2 in July of 2008 using film expired in 1999. This expired pack delivered some amazingly luxurious and decadent results. I now refer to this pack fondly as "The Black Magic Pack". This is my personal favorite from my photography portfolio. Each reproduction of the original Polaroid is signed.

I accept Paypal & Money Orders and ship within three days of order. Thanks much for your interest.

decay and melancholy

$1,500.00
Title: decay and melancholy
Photographer: Elinor Scott-Sutter
Original Time-Zero Polaroid (one of a kind)

Polaroid stopped manufacturing Time-Zero film in 2006. This rare and now expensive film, even in a state of decline, eclipses the beauty of all other film types, in my opinion. Though the currently available film is now expired, the vintage SX-70 cameras for which the film was designed are still around and functioning. I took this Polaroid with an SX-70 Model 2 and closeup attachment in July of 2008 using film expired in 1999. This expired pack delivered some amazingly luxurious and beautifully decadent results. This aristocratic still life includes the Old Fashioned Roses from my garden... in their various stages of blossoming and decay (just as is the film). The Polaroid is signed and dated on the back.

I accept Paypal and will ship within three days of ordering. Thanks much for your interest in my Polaroid photography.

Though the currently available film is now expired, the vintage SX-70 cameras for which the fairy dustis film was designed are still around and functioning. The original Polaroid was taken with a Polaroid SX-70 Model 2 camera. It is a subtle quote in Time-Zero of an Alfred Stieglitz photograph of Georgia O'Keefe.
