Another fun purse made from handwoven silk fabric and trimmed with a beaded fringe on the flap. The inside lining is a synthetic fabric and handstitched at the top. The handle is a satin cord.

Measurements: 6 3/4" tall x 6" wide
the flap is 3 3/4" and the beaded fringe hangs down 1/2"
The cord handle is about 36" long from end to end and the purse hangs about 18" down from my shoulder. The lenght can be adjusted by tying a knot in the cord to shorten it.

Care:
Hand wash, air dry, and press to remove any wrinkles

Let me know if you are interested in a custom baby blanket. I just finished a batch in November 2009 and it will be a little while before I need to weave more. But a few orders will get the next group on my loom sooner.

Handwoven from 100% cotton they are soft, comfortable and safe for the baby. No fringe to get in the way. The blankets are about 36" x 45", the size makes them useful wherever they go. Plenty of room to lay the baby on the floor with a few toys and large enough to wrap him up in for months. I can also weave longer blankets for toddlers or to be used as lap blankets.

Pick from any pattern shown in this picture and the colors shown below.

All blankets will start with white warp yarns set up on the loom. You are picking the color I weave the blanket with like the ones shown in the pictures. Bigger pictures of the patterns can be found in my current and sold baby blanket listings.

Easy care - fully machine washable and dryable.

This thick wool scarf is soft enough to be worn next to your skin. The multi-colored warp (navy, blue, brown green, and gold) is a thick singles wool woven in a broken twill pattern with a thin navy wool as the weft thread. It has a short twisted fringe to finish the ends.

This beautiful scarf is handwoven using tencel yarn. The tencel is shiny and luxurious like silk at an affordable price. The leave structure is "leno" and the warp threads cross over one another and are held in the crossed position by the weft threads of the scarf. There is a black line on the left side of the bottom picture. This line traces the path of one of the warp threads to help you see want is happening in the cloth.

The scarf measures 8" x 61" (20.3cm x 157.5cm) including fringe.

Teal Silk Scarf - Handwoven

So Classy!! This scarf is handwoven using very fine silk. There are 60 threads per inch in both the warp and the weft. Working with thread this fine is a labor of love, I had to throw the shuttle about 3,600 times to weave the fabric.

The warp is a natural colored silk and the weft is a hand dyed teal color creating a subtle elegant design. I love the different elements of the design that appear when you look at the scarf in different light and at different angles . The pattern comes from an old German weaving book published 1708.

The hems are hand stitched for a classy tailored look.

This scarf measures 7 1/2" x 53 1/2" (19cm x 135.9cm)

Looking for something a little different to hold notes on your frig? The set of 3 magnets might be just what you are looking for.

Each magnet is a fabric covered button with the shank removed from the back and replaced with a magnet. The fabric is handwoven linen that I had left over after doing my sample of "Swedish Lace" for my Certificate of Excellence in Weaving. Two of the magnets are white with small blue stripes. The third is white with blue squares. The "Swedish Lace" shows in alternating squares. The silver button peeks through the fabric, reflecting light and adding a bit of sparkle to each magnet.

When I showed my husband the yarns I had wound for a group of scarves, his first comment was "pumpkin". So I named this group of scarves "Pastel Pumpkins". This is the third scarf of the group and is the Lavender Pumpkin.

The warp is a beautiful loosely spun singles wool spun from a blend of super soft Corriedale and Merino wools. The variegated yarn is a mix of a golden orange, lavenders, browns, sage greens, and pinks. For the weft of this scarf I used a lavender pearl cotton. The shiny cotton adds a bit of sparkle to the matte colored wool.

Diamond Furrows Scarf - Handwoven

This very unique scarf is handwoven using 100% cotton. The combination of thick warp threads, thin weft threads, and the weave structure produces a fabric that does not stay flat once it is taken off the loom and washed. It has a wonderful texture created by the furrows in the fabric. The cotton is soft and has a nice sheen.

The last picture shows the fabric still on the loom before it has been washed.

• 100% cotton - ecru color warp with a thin tan weft

Kumihimo Choker - Braided Tencel

The choker was hand braided. It is an eight strand kumihimo braid made up of two colors of tencel, straw and olive green. Tencel is a shiny fiber and gives the braid a shine.

The braid is finished with gold ends caps and a lobster claw clasp. The braid is 11 3/4" (29.8cm) long with a chain to adjust the choker to the length you wish. The choker adjusts from 11 3/4" to 15 1/4" (29.8cm to 38.75cm).

Braided Necklace w/ Owyhee Jasper Pendant

The Kumihimo necklace was hand braided. It is a eight strand braid made up of two colors of tencel, straw and sienna. Tencel is a shiny fiber and gives the braid a shine similar to silk. The braid is finished with gold ends caps and a lobster claw clasp. The necklace is 16" (16.4cm) long.

The lovely piece of Owyhee Jasper has been attached with a gold wire with a copper core. The stone is shades of cream, browns and orange. The the stone and the clasp are shown in the third picture.

Owyhee Jasper Pendant w/ braided cord

The Kumihimo necklace was hand braided. It is a eight strand braid made up of two colors of tencel, straw and brown. Tencel is a shiny fiber and gives the braid a shine similar to silk. The braid is finished with gold ends caps and a lobster claw clasp. The necklace is 16" (16.4cm) long.

The lovely piece of Owyhee Jasper has been attached with a gold wire with a copper core. The stone is shades of cream, browns and black. The second side of the stone and the clasp are shown in the third picture.

Handwoven Lap, Crib, Toddler, or Baby Blanket

I'm not really sure what to call this wonderful little cotton blanket. It would be a great lap blanket for an adult on a chilly night. It would be a wonderful crib blanket for the new little boy in the family. Or it would be a perfect blanket for a toddler to nap under or take with him on his next big adventure. I guess I'll have to leave it up to you what it will really become in your home.

The blanket was handwoven starting with an all white cotton warp on the loom. A subtle denim blue was woven in for the weft to create the textured pattern. The front and the back of the fabric are very similar in this design.

The lovely pumpkin color is a welcome change from the usual colors you usually find for babies. This may be the perfect color to match for your decor and would be great for either the new little boy or girl entering this world.

It is handwoven from 100% cotton making it a comfortable blanket for both summer a winter months. The size (37" x 45") guaranties it will be useful for more than the first couple months.

Golden Pumpkin Scarf - Handwoven

When I showed my husband the yarns I had wound for a group of scarves, his first comment was "pumpkin". So I named this scarf "Golden Pumpkin".

The warp is a beautiful loosely spun singles wool spun from a blend of super soft Corriedale and Merino wools. The variegated yarn is a mix of a golden orange, lavenders, browns, sage greens, and pinks. For the weft of this scarf I used a bright gold pearl cotton. The shiny cotton adds a bit of sparkle to the matte colored wool.

Fiber Content: Warp - 100% wool Weft - 100% cotton

Size: 7" x 70" (this includes the 3" fringe on each end)
17.75cm x 177.8cm (this includes the 9cm fringe on each end)

Care: Hand wash and air dry - iron as needed

The lovely piece of Owyhee Jasper has been wrapped in a gold wire with a copper core. The stone is a gray/green color speckled with lighter and darker spots. Both sides of the pendent are shown.

The cord was hand braided. It is a sixteen strand kumihimo braid made up of four colors of tencel, straw, olive green, brown, and mint green. Tencel is a shiny fiber and gives the braid a shine. The braid is finished with gold ends caps and a lobster claw clasp. The necklace is 16" (16.4cm) long.

Table Runner - Handwoven

This is table runner is woven with thick wool yarn on a linen warp. It is thick and would look wonderful in a great many settings. Use it on your dining table or anywhere else you want. The thick, natural color linen warp is twisted into a fringe 1 3/4" on each end. (4.45cm) The triangle shaped pattern is woven with two colors of thick wool yarn. The lighter wool is a combination of a off white and a camel color while the dark wool is gray in most light. It does have a purple cast at times.

Size: 9 1/2" x 28" plus the fringe in each end (31 1/2" total)
(24.13cm x 71.12cm - or 80cm total)

Blue Silk Scarf

This lovely scarf is handwoven using fine silk. There are 60 threads per inch in both the warp and the weft. Working with thread this fine, I had to throw the shuttle about 3,600 times to weave the fabric.

The weft was hand dyed by me and has light and dark areas that add to the design. The pattern comes from an old German weaving book published 1708.

This scarf measures 7" x 52 1/2" (17.75cm x 133.25cm)

Handwash, air dry, and press with a steam iron.

This lovely baby blanket is handwoven from 100% cotton. It is soft and easy to care for. The bright sunny color is sure to enhance any nursery. The blanket is 37" x 45", this means is will be useful more than just a few short weeks.

It is thick and cushy and with it's generous size, it can be lain on the floor with a few toys or used in the crib or anywhere else.

The front and the back of the cloth is very close to the same in this design.
