We all know Polly wants a cracker, but after seeing this bag, she's ready to break out of her cage and take off for fun and excitement with her pals. How could you not have fun toting this bright and cheerful bag? I bet it could even make you smile as you head off to work on a rainy Monday with your lunch and other essentials tucked inside.

Made of 100% cotton, Laurel Burch parrot print, (polyester batting) the bag is a patchwork pattern of 3" by 2" squares in the parrot print and a coordinating orange speckled print. Bottom of bag is another Laurel Burch fabric, a purple back ground with large birds, outlined in gold, in typical Lauren Burch colors and designs. The handles are a Laurel Burch rainbow colored stripe. They are lined with batting, machine and hand sewn, and machine sewn to inside of bag. The batting is the orange speckle print, double folded and handsewn. The lining is a teal teal solid. Bag was machine pieced and machine quilted with orange thread in an X pattern.

Bag measures 12" high, 7" wide and 4" deep. The handles are about 19" long, end to end. Top of looped handle is about 8 1/2" from bag top.

All of my bags are one of a kind creations. I don't follow any pattern, I just find fabrics that work well together and the bag evolves from there. As I use small amounts of fabric for each bag, I couldn't reproduce one if I wanted to.

This set of 4 quilted coasters is made up of a chili pepper print, on front and back. These coasters are kidproof-they won't break, they won't scratch your table and they won't shatter on cement--great for poolside! And, when chucked at a siblings head, they do minimal if any damage (not that MY kids would ever do anything like that!)

Coasters measure approximately 4 inches (10 cm)square. They are made from cotton fabric with polyester batting in the middle for extra absorbency. Top stitching is done in coordinating thread colors.

Machine wash cold, reshape if necessary and air dry.

Need a unique anniversary, housewarming or wedding gift? This cross stitch is for you! The options are endless! You choose EVERYTHING...the fabric color, the colors of the house and tree, the style of writing and what you would like it to say.......name and date, just the date, just names, even nothing!

The house measures approximately 2 3/8 inches (6 cm) wide and 2 7/8 inches (7 cm) tall, the tree is approximately 2 7/8 inches (7 cm) wide and 3 inches (7.5 cm) tall. The entire house and tree design, without any names or dates, measures about 5 inches by 3 inches (12.5 cm by 7.5 cm) . I use DMC embroidery floss and Aida cloth or Fiddler's cloth, depending on the color you choose.

I have shown 3 different options...in the the first one, the house has the extra little squares, the letters in the name are about 7/8 inches (2 cm) tall and about 1/2 inch (1 cm) wide, the Aida fabric is beige and I used 2 colors of dusty pink and gray. It was a wedding present. The second one, done in ruby red was done on fiddlers cloth (gives the tweedy look to the background) and was for an anniversary present. The third option, also done on beige, was for a housewarming present. I added the year in small letters over the windows, and straight stitched the names of the family around the edging.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery, as this is a custom piece. Price DOES NOT include the frame.

Okay, okay, we'd all love to have our very own Cabana Boy, but let's face it, in reality, probably not going to happen. So, keep yourself organized with this Cabana striped tote....large enough to toss in all of those things that get you through the day. There is a little secret, though...a key clip on the inside, because when that Cabana Boy does show up, you'll want to grab your room key and slip it to him as fast as possible.

Bag is made of heavy cotton fabric in a somewhat retro striped pattern. Bag is 17 inches (43.5 cm)wide, 14 inches (36 cm) high and 5 inches (13 cm) deep. Handles are ecru cotton webbing 1 1/4 inches (3 cm) wide and have an 11 inch (28 cm) drop.

Red and Black Fleece Socks

Keep your feet warm this winter in these cozy socks created from Malden Mills fleece. For even more cozy comfort, I used soft T shirt type knit for extra comfort for the sock cuff. All seams have been sewn and serged for extra comfort and durability.

Socks are about a women's size 8 US. They measure about 4 inches (10 cm) from heel to bottom of cuff with the cuff an additional 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm) high, the black sole is about 9 1/4 inches (23.5 cm) long and about 3 1/4 inches (8.25 cm) wide across the ball of the foot.

Machine wash cold, air dry. DO NOT IRON

She opened her mailbox and saw the package from Pandys of Lake Sunapee. Ripping the envelope open, she grabbed the coasters and practically hugged them. Yes, Yes, Yes, she said, then looked around quickly to make sure no one had heard her.

Uncle Stuart, she thought to herself as she shook her head. She knew everyone had an Uncle Stuart, and all of her friends thought he was hilarious. He was in his late 60's but was so proud of his "summer car", a black Trans Am with the gold bird on the hood, just like the one in Smokey and the Bandit...complete with 8 track player. Yes, the car WAS in pristine condition, however....add in the white shoes, the polyester shirt with the flag print (thank God he had started buttoning the top 3 buttons in the last few years) and the ever present Binaca breath spray in his shirt pocket, and, well.......

Last year, at the Memorial Day cookout, Uncle Stuart had had a few too many and thought tossing her marble coasters into the pool for the kids to dive for would be a great game. Somehow, a wine glass ended up in the pool, too. Then on the Fourth of July, it had rained and the party was inside. Uncle Stuart had managed to push his coaster across her new alder dining table so hard it took 3 hours of sanding and 4 coats of urethane to repair the damage.

This year, she was taking no chances....the listing said the coasters were unbreakable, scratch proof and relatively safe as flying objects...they were considered kid proof. She just hoped they were Uncle Stuart proof.

Coasters measure approximately 4 1/4 inches (11.75 cm) square and are made from cotton fabric and a heat resistant batting so they can be used with hot or cold beverages. The coasters will not scratch your counters or tables and are safe by the pool, as they are nonbreakable. My children have proven they do little to no damage when chucked across the room.

Machine wash cold, air dry, warm iron as necessary.

Sick of tripping over the blankets and throws that can litter your couch and living room floor? Tired of excavating for the TV remote? Your worries are over.

This snuggly throw, made from Malden Mills fleece, has a pocket on the back. When you are done lounging, simply fold the throw into thirds lengthwise, then fold into thirds again and tuck right into the pillow pouch and voila, no mess, just a neat pillow sitting on the couch. What could be easier?

Thanks to my mother for being such a great model!

Throw measures roughly 50 inches (127 cm) by 60 inches (152.5 cm) and is a soft oatmeal color. The edges of the throw have been serged with black Wooly Nylon for a decorative border. The pillow pouch is made of 4 squares of fleece, sewn together and measures about 18 inches (45.5 cm) square when flat. When stuffed, the pillow is about 16 inches square (40.5 cm) and about 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm) thick.

Machine wash cold, air dry.

While decking the halls and trimming the tree, don't forget those little details, like coasters! Your coffee table should never have water rings, nor should it be covered in mundane coasters this time of year!

Cotton fabric on front and back and polyester batting inside give the set of four coasters shape and water absorbency. She reached into her bag, pulled out her daughter's swimming lesson schedule and started to put it in her calendar when she heard the mechanic say, yeah, go tell that woman, the middle aged one her car is all set, ya know, the frumpy one?

She jerked her head up and looked around. The only other woman in the waiting area was a nun. They were talking about her. Fumbling for her credit card, she quickly paid, grabbed her keys and went home. She fought back tears, then her favorite song came on the radio, a song from the 80's. As she belted out the words (off key, but no one was listening) she thought about what the mechanic said. What happened to the wild woman who would sneak backstage at club shows, then still manage to make it to class by 8 AM the next morning?

She got home and ran into her bedroom and the full length mirror. What she saw staring back was not her, couldn't be her....Limp pony tail, grungy baseball hat that used to be bright blue but looked gray, no makeup, baggy gray Tshirt, faded jeans and dingy sneakers. UGH. She groaned. She did look old and frumpy and, well, blah. What happened? Where did she go?

That's it, she said, loud enough to wake up the cat. She rummaged through her closet, finding the bag her single, unfettered sister had given her for Christmas. At the time, she had thought it too bright, too frivolous, so unmomlike. Damn it all, she said, grabbing the bag, I'm not middle aged, I'm not frumpy and I'm using this bag. Who said moms had to be blah?

As she ran out the door to pick up her daughter from ballet class and her son from baseball, she left a note for her husband..it said:

gone to get a hair cut, manicure and pedicure. Kids are at my sisters house. Have dinner ready at 7:00.

Smiling, she headed out the door.

Yes, you, too, can appear rather humdrum about the day when using this adorable tote. You know where your keys, cell phone, wallet and sunglasses are. You know your tote is stylish, yet not yet another fad of the minute. You are confident in your smile, your bag and yourself.

Outside of tote is made up of 100% cotton, machine pieced and machine quilted, lining is chocolate brown cotton. Polyester batting is sandwiched between the 2 layers. The handles are cotton webbing with grosgrain ribbon sewn on top.

Stovington Wellesley Hadley, known as Wells, was known for three things....first being the youngest lawyer ever to make partner at Biddle, Carson and Delaney, secondly, his twohanded backhand and lastly, the fact that he was always perfectly dressed. No one had ever seen him even unbutton his suit coat. Ever.

The reason for the first was graduating top 5 from Georgetown Law. The reason for the second was practice. Lots and lots of practice. The reason for the third, well......all through his years at Phillips Exeter Academy, amid all the lacrosse and crew, he had a secret wish.

All through his undergrad at Yale, pledging the fraternity, spending a year abroad in Europe, he had a secret wish.

Clerking part time through law school, spending lots of time on Capitol Hill, he had a secret wish.

Spending summers at the country club, whether on the tennis courts or in the bar, he had a secret wish.

Making partner, getting married, purchasing his brand new Mercedes, he had a secret wish.

He had always wanted to be one of the Bee Gees. This was not something he shared with a soul. Not his prep school roommate, his nanny, or his wife.

All throughout meetings, trials, depositions, Wells looked very preppy and conservative. No one knew he was secretly indulging his fantasy by wearing his Boogie Fever belt. He could think about strobe lights, spandex and Stayin' Alive all day long and no one would be the wiser.

Cat's Meow Zippered Bag

It was her first day of work at her new job. Cautiously, she walked to her desk, sat down and unpacked her tote bag. Grabbing her totally adorable lunch bag, she walked to the employee lunch room, opened the refrigerator and recoiled in horror. It hadn't been cleaned in months! No way was her Cat's Meow bag going in there! She walked back to her desk, sat down and smiled.

She was carrying the newest creation from Pandy's of Lake Sunapee, an adorable little bag. With a nylon waterproof lining, Pellon Thermolam insulating batting and a zipper closure, she knew her lunch would be safe and sound in her bottom drawer, her napkin safely tucked into the outside pocket, along with a bottle of hand sanitizer. She was then doubly glad she tossed the small ice pack in with her caesar salad wrap, apple, yougurt and a spoon from home.

Bag measures 7 1/2 inches (19 cm) wide, 6 inches (15 cm) high and 3 inches (7.5 cm) deep. Handles are about 3/4 inches wide (1.75 cm) and about a 5 1/2 inch (13.5 cm) drop. Outside pocket is about 4 1/4 inches (10.5 cm) high and runs the width of the bag.

Lining is ripstop nylon....which will keep spills contained. Zipper has been oversewn for extra durability.
This would make a great makeup bag, lunch bag or handbag. Just wipe out the inside with a damp cloth and you are good to go!

Winter can be a drag...bulky jackets, clompy boots, mittens and gloves that always seem to lose a mate, and hats that are either warm and not so flattering or flattering and not so warm.

The Smoosh Hat is both flattering and warm. You can smoosh it in your sleeve so you don't lose it, pull it out, smoosh it on your head and it still looks great! Even better, since it's made from fleece, it won't itch.

Smoosh hat is made from Malden Mills fleece in a rich loden green. The seams have been sewn and serged for durability. The brim may be worn down or folded up, depending on your preference. Hat measures approximately 22 1/2 inches (57 cm) around inner band. Hat is about 4 inches (10 cm) from top to brim seam.

Keep your table decked this holiday season! Let Laurel Burch's Christmas Kitties cavort at their leisure. This table runner/hot pad has heat resistant batting, so, when serving dinner, no need to move the runner or get a trivet...just leave this table pad in place and not worry. Oops, a spill? Just toss in the washing machine and dryer...in fact, I tossed this in the washing machine and dryer, pulled it out and took the pictures...I just wanted to see how it would come out..it looks GREAT! I didn't use fabric softener or an iron, even.

Table mat is made of 100% cotton fabric with one layer of Insul-Brite heat resistant batting and one layer of Pellon heat resistant batting. The pad is free form machine quilted and the double fold binding is handsewn on the back. Table mat measures 20 1/2 inches (52 cm) wide and 17 inches (43 cm) high.

Not intended for us in the over, broiler, grill or with open flame. Not intended for use as a potholder.
