$95.00
This is my favorite way to design. Whether I do it successfully or not is less important to me than the actual process of doing it. I love making necklaces that are asymetric but somehow exhibit a cohesive design; I hope this necklace does that. The large centerpiece is one of my handmade porcelain pendants, glazed in two high-fired glazes. This pendant uses my new hole design element, leaving the entire front of the pendant's design visible, with no interruption by holes. I constructed it on a full-sized manequin, insuring that the beads lay gracefully around the neck. Handmade Bulgarian ceramic beads, yellow turquoise, fancy jasper leaf beads, a single stunning lampwork bead from an American artist, Oregon jasper, yellow jade, and seed beads are all combined to create a statement piece. I love this and hope you do, too. Length of necklace is 20"; the pendant is nerly 3" x 2.5". 49-strand wire was used and the necklace is finished off with gold-filled crimps, a pewter toggle clasp, gold-filled bead covers, and wire guards for a professional finish. Two additional crimps on each side at various points in the necklace add to the piece's strength and durability.
