This is a pattern for the hat that's pictured here. The hat is worked in the round with no shaping. A simple three needle bind-off (instructions included) closes up the top, and a pair of tassels gives the hat the appearance of antlers. And don't you want antlers? Well even if you don't, this is an easy to make, fun, kicky hat. I used two balls of Noro Silk Garden to make this hat, but any worsted weight yarn should do.

Falkland wool has a wonderfully pillowy quality. It has a high crimp but is a fairly fine fiber with a soft hand and excellent body. The yarn made with this roving is soft enough to be worn comfortably next to the skin, but it has much better shape than merino, more body than BFL.

This roving is dyed with professional grade acid dye; it's lightfast and colourfast, with good saturation.

This listing is for a 100-110g batt of carded wool (or rather, three 35g batts made and packaged together). There are a few different types of wool in here, but mostly the batts are composed of what I spin with -- BFL, Corriedale, and Falkland. Usually a batt is 95% BFL. This stuff is so much fun to spin. It makes a yarn that's less distinctly variegated than the yarn that comes from a painted roving; the colour blends are a little more subtle, a little more tweedy. Try one, you'll be as addicted as I am! The batts are also excellent for felting.

This batt has extra stuff in it -- bits of leftovers from my spinning, chopped up and carded in. The resulting yarn is super cool, it looks like it has confetti in it. It's excellent for knitting really funky items, and popular with kids.

This listing is for a custom pack of 12 hand dyed wool nuggets in mixed colours (approx 80 grams in total). I usually have multiple shades available of each primary and secondary colour, plus an assortment of neutrals. The wool is usually BFL, a nice fine fiber, silky. Sometimes some Corriedale sneaks in. It's just as fine, but a tiny bit crimpier.

The pattern is designed so that you can use any yarn you like. Of course, if you buy my yarn, I'll be happier, but any yarn is good. The toddler hat pictured takes 38 grams of my yarn, in case you're interested. You should be able to get at least an adult size small hat out of a skein of my single ply yarn, maybe even a medium, and the 2ply yarn has enough yardage in a skein for you to get even an adult large ribbed hat (ribbing tends to eat yarn).

This is a pattern for a triangular scarf made from fingering weight yarn. I used Koigu, but that was before I discovered all the amazing people on Etsy who dye their own gorgeous handpainted yarn. The patterns takes approx 525 yards of fingering weight yarn. You could easily use a larger gauge yarn to get a bigger scarf, too (but estimating the yardage would be up to you).

The scarf is full of holes! But they're supposed to be there. The pattern is really simple, just 6 rows repeated, but the result is so great. You want this scarf.

To make this pattern, you only need to know how to cast on, cast off, knit, pick up stitches, and make tassels. Then wear with aplomb! This pattern has been available in hard copy at a few yarn shops for a couple of years now, so I have received lots of feedback on wording, etc. I believe it to be mistake free and well explained (although I am completely available by email for further or different explanations -- I'm always happy to help). I also know it to be tremendously popular, since the shops keep selling out of it and reordering. Try it, I'm sure you'll love it.
