The Brothers Grimm -- Rose Red Felt Doll or Stuffie

This is a lovingly hand-sewn doll or stuffie of the Rose Red character from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Snow White and Rose Red". She is hand-cut from felt in my own original pattern, and top-stitched into a filled body. The backside is deep cranberry to coordinated with her bodice, and the front is red lined in navy to accentuate her beautiful colors. Her face is embroidered and she has two colors of pieced felt hair, covered with a little white cap. The bodice of her dress is picked out in gold colored thread, while her skirt is detailed in both cream and gold. Her feet and hands are bare.

Although not a poseable doll, I enjoyed playing with dolls of this type throughout my childhood--it is not quite a paper doll but is not quite a traditional doll--but it is soft and beautiful like a fairy tale doll should be.

Measures 9 inches tall by 5 inches wide. She is approximately 2 inches thick at her thickest part (the skirt of her dress). She is stuffed with recycled polyfil.

This doll contains no loose or small parts, but due to the handmade nature, I recommend it only for children old enough to be trusted not to chew or tear at their toys. Please use your best judgment if buying this doll for a child in your life.

I would be happy to appliqué a name onto the back if desired, up to 7 characters. Please indicate in comments what name when you purchase.

Final Fantasy Lich

He occupies half the screen. He's fearsome, hard to get to. He is an overall bad-ass. He's the Lich. One of the more complicated pieces I've done, this one is done not on my normal 1/2 = one pixel scale, but on a 1/4 = one pixel scale. That's right, I basically painted him to graph paper proportions just so I could fit him in.

He's painted in acrylic on a back-stapled 16 X 20 canvas. All sides are painted black.

(any sheen on the painting is from the flash--he's quite matte, I assure you.)

Another death scene. Before you consider me a dabbler in the macabre, remember, this is the primary way I play the game. I find the pressure of navigating the maze the be too much, and as such, I usually panic. And when I panic, the humanoid does not escape.

Castlevania Doubler

When you really need to throw more than one axe at a giant bat, this is the first place you should turn. The doubler. A Roman numeral, carefully hidden inside candles and other unlikely places, this is the drug of choice for throwing things more often.

Reproduced here in acrylics on an 8X8 canvas panel, the Doubler makes and attractive addition to a gaming area, basement or attic hideaway. Not recommended for placement in walls or candles.
