Indonnesian (Hard) Coral Artisan Cabochon (36mm x 34mm Freeform)

I'm thrilled to start offering these gorgeous artisan cabochons cut and polished by New Mexico artist Jack Shaver.

This particular cabochon is a 36mm x 34mm piece of Indonnesian (hard) coral. It is about 7mm thick.

The photographs of this piece show stronger coloring than the actual piece has. The coral goes from a light cream to a darker, dusky peach. The markings are strong.

This particular cabochon is a 44mm x 42mm hawk's eye "rounded" rectangle. It is about 6mm thick.

Hawk's eye is similar to tiger's eye, except that, in this instance, the stone has a bluish green tint to it that doesn't show well in the photographs. In person, the piece seems almost holographic in certain light.

Sweet Floral Fabric, 4.8 yards

This is a little floral print on white. I have just under 5 yards (43" x 176") of this fabric.

I am not sure of the composition of the fabric, but I am fairly certain that it is cotton. It is woven rather than knit, and it's light weight. This would make some darling curtains in a little girls room.

This material came to me via an estate sale. I have not laundered it and so it does have a little bit of that "old fabric smell" to it.

(The photo with the tape measure was taken in poor indoor lighting. My apologies.)

Imperial Jasper Artisan Cabochon (54mm x 18mm Freeform)

This particular cabochon is a 54mm x 18mm piece of imperial jasper. It is about 6mm thick.

This is one of the most unusual cabochons I have ever seen. It looks almost organic. The center "eye" is a strong charcoal color, surrounded by a bluish grey and then, finally at the edge, taupe and, yes, a little pink.

I seem incapable of taking a good photograph of this cabochon. After 40 attempts, I've given up. Please trust me when I say that the cab is so much more "alive" than the pictures would indicate.
