I designed this simply elegant wedding garter set around the wonderful embellishment that I found in a wonderful shop in Manhattan.

A celebrity bride turned me on to this shop. I have found many wonderful items to use for my garter designs.

For this garter I chose Blue and IVORY satin for the bands. Available in Blue and White as well as other colors.

I added this wonderful organza 2 layered flower that has been hand sewn with crystals and pearls. The result is this gorgeous but understated garter set.

I can make this in other color combinations. The beaded cluster will remain the same.

Deceptively simple this new garter set was designed to show off the wonderful EMERALD CUT Swarovski Crystal and Rhinestone ornament.

I found this wonderful jewel like setting in my Favorite shop in Manhattan. It really looks like a diamond engagement ring, with it's cut crystal center stone flanked by high quality rhinestones.

I put my signature hand made ribbon blossom in the center of a narrow satin band. the perfect background for this sparking bling.

This garter is shown in IVORY. I can make this in most other colors. The Ornament will remain the same clear crystal. See last photo

Deceptively simple this new garter set was designed to show off the wonderful TRI-CRYSTAL Swarovski Crystal Drop.

I found this wonderful jewel like setting in my Favorite shop in Manhattan. The Drop is made of 3 high quality crystals. In this beautiful arrangement you have an oval cut, an emerald cut, and an pear drop crystal. Looks like diamonds.

I put my signature hand made 3 petal ribbon blossom in the center of each satin garter. The keepsake garter is the perfect background for this 3 stone sparking bling.

I used the single oval cut stone on the toss garter.

Here is the original classic update to my popular simply elegant wedding garter.

I designed The original layered garter for brides who don't do frilly. Brides who have chosen Elegant Understated gowns. For this variation I have replaced the formal bow with an elegant Vintage Alencon lace appliqué from my personal collection.(appliqués may vary slightly, but they are all from the same lot of vintage lace). Each center will have the hanging cluster of pearls as seen in the photo.

I am working with 3 different satin ribbons.

I was also influenced by some of the designer wedding gowns in the current magazines

This garter is a limited edition because I only have a little of the vintage Alencon lace appliqués.

I designed this garter set around this Beautiful hand beaded cameo. It is variation of my popular "LADY IN THE CAMEO" garter.

I found these charming ornaments while shopping at one of my Celebrity buyer's favorite stores in Manhattan.

For the keepsake garter I placed our lovely lady on a silky Black satin band trimmed with vintage lace from my personal collection. The Cameo itself is surrounded with silver beads hand sewn to form a spiral frame. NOT A SEQUIN IN SIGHT. I have added slim satin ribbon trailing from below.

At the top I have Placed a tuft of iridescent black feathers to echo the Victorian Style of the Cameo.

For the toss garter I kept the band simple and framed the cameo with a ruffle of matching vintage lace,

I have this cameo in golden beading and natural shell color cameo.

Here is a wonderful Spring or Summertime Garter. I found this organza lace just recently. I couldn't believe how charming it is.
The "Silk" blossoms are attached to the sheer organza with tiny satin knots in their centers, so the petals stand out from the organza.

I've made a big fluffy organza bow and fashioned a rosette to sit in the center.

The colors are so soft and varied that this would go with any pastel themed wedding. Easter colors.

I designed this garter set inspired by this lovely Dupioni Silk.

This simple design is enhanced by the silk and satin. I have made the centers of the satin blossoms out of the same silk that I used for the garters.

I decorated this bag with a heat transfer made from a page taken from a book on art printed in the 1890's. The name of the original art is "Place St. Georges" by Edmond Georges Grandjean 1879.

I made one of these up for myself when my husband and I visited Paris October of 2006. We actually made a pilgrimage to the very spot as it is in Paris today.

I carried that tote all over Paris, It is so roomy that I was able to carry, guide books, maps, handbag, camera, a bottle of water, an umbrella and a lightweight jacket. As each day progressed, as you can imagine we added souvenirs of all kinds to the pot.

Even so the bag fit comfortably under my arm. When I needed to set it down it did not fall over.

The zippered top and flat bottom construction make for a safe and stable carryall. I used it as a carry on for the flight over and back.

Bag measures 18"w x13"h x3". generous 29" straps.
Commercial grade transfer is rich in color and colorfast. Transfer looks like it is painted directly onto the canvas bag. (see pic)

This bag is very versatile.

Here is a fun Wedding Garter made from a new novelty print. I have a popular version of this garter in black and white. The print is so graphic,I just had to try a garter with it.

This garter was Inspired by this print from a 1920's ladies magazine. I have a huge collection of needlecraft books dating back to the 1800's.

I used a rosy pink silk for the ruffle and pale green for the band, colors so popular in the 20's and 30's. I tinted the edges of the pink satin flower to give the luscious folds more definition.

I tucked some vintage green lace ribbon behind the Pink Satin Flower for the suggestion of leaves. I let the fuschia blossoms hang down among trailing ribbons.

I designed this simply elegant wedding or prom garter around the wonderful embellishment that I found in a wonderful shop in Manhattan.

A celebrity bride turned me on to this 100 year old shop. I have found many wonderful items to use for my garter designs.

For this garter I chose traditional Bridal White satin for the band.

I added this wonderful hand beaded embellishment. This piece has a heavily hand beaded intertwined design. The cut work in the pattern allowed me to weave satin ribbon in and out to create leaf like tufts.

The beads are iridescent IRIS crystals.In the center of the flower is a high quality Rhinestone. No pearls, for those brides or vixens who prefer bling to pearls.

Certain to be a cherished heirloom.

Years ago, when I first started designing wedding garters I had a series of wedding garters made using VINTAGE HANKIES.
They were very popular at the time but like so many designers I got carried away with the next design idea and the next and next. You know how it is.

While looking through my personal collection of vintage laces and such, I came across a stack of beautiful vintage hankies.

Here is one of the of the garters I just had to make that very day.

This one I used a corner of an embroidered cutwork handkerchief. The intricate design is very delicate, the tiniest stitches were used.

I incorporated the vintage handiwork into my white satin simple garter. I chose an Old Fashioned simple bow in white. No other embellishment seemed to be needed.

I designed this garter around this Beautiful hand beaded cameo.

I found this charming ornament while shopping at one of my Celebrity buyer's favorite stores in Manhattan.

For this garter I placed our lovely lady on a silky Black satin band lined in Ivory. The Cameo itself is surrounded with silver beads hand sewn to form a spiral frame. I have added slim satin ribbon trailing from below.

At the top I have Placed a tuft of iridescent black feathers to echo the Victorian Style of the Cameo.

I found this charming ornament while shopping at one of my Celebrity buyer's favorite stores in Manhattan.

For this garter I placed our lovely lady on a silky CHAMPAGNE satin band lined in IVORY. The Cameo itself is surrounded with golden beads hand sewn to form a spiral frame. NOT A SEQUIN IN SIGHT. I have added my signature FRENCH PLEATED SATIN around the cameo itself.

Deceptively simple this new shoe clip set was designed around the ELEGANT Swarovski Crystal, Rhinestone.

I found this wonderful jewel like setting in my Favorite shop in Manhattan. It really looks like high end jewelry with it's cut crystal center stone high quality rhinestones.

For the clips I made a satin frame for it to sit on.
I kept it ULTRA SIMPLE for an elegant understated look.

Here is a lovely wedding garter set made with heirloom quality vintage lace from my personal collection.

for the keepsake I used pale Ivory satin ribbon for the waist and the bow. I added a lovely handcrafted satin ribbon blossom to the center of the bow.

For the toss garter I used all satin for the band and I made a rose out of the same vintage lace that I used in the keepsake garter.

This is the first in my new "Nosegay" garter series.

I'm using my popular slender band style garter to which I've attached a sweet bunch of flowers tied with ribbon and placed upon the satin bow.

The blue and Ivory band is just 1-1/2" wide, as are the lily blossoms.

In this one, the Calla Lilly Blossoms are made from a soft felt like fabric. They look very real, though miniature.

The design for this garter was inspired by this luscious bright white VENISE lace.

Although Venise lace is often used in bridal wear, I rarely use it for my garters. It is difficult to work with on a small scale. But this satiny lace is just too beautiful not to work it into a lovely garter.

I used satin ribbon to fashion the Rose and bow for the centerpiece.

I designed this garter inspired by the Fuschia Blossoms that I made from ribbons and beads.

I wanted to make a Vintage style garter that incorporated some of the most popular colors that MY BRIDES are asking for.

Some of my brides choose this garter for an Asian flair to their wedding.

I made the band from pale dusty green VINTAGE taffeta. For the center of the focal flower I used silk cord and hand stitched fuschia lined glass beads. I tucked some vintage green lace ribbon behind the Pink Satin Flower for the suggestion of leaves. I let the fuschia blossoms hang down among trailing ribbons.

Deceptively simple this new garter set was designed to show off the wonderful pearl drop.
I found this wonderful hand beaded cluster in my Favorite shop in Manhattan. The Drop is made of high luster pearled glass beads. I replaced a large pearl that was sewn into the center with a gorgeous vintage glass pearl in a yummy berry color.

I put my signature hand made 3 petal ribbon blossom in the center of each satin garter. The keepsake garter is the perfect background for this multi pearl cluster.

For the toss I added the same vintage pearl to the center of a matching pearl cluster.

Splendidly simple this new garter was designed to show off the wonderful Crystal and Pearl hand beaded ornament.

I found this wonderful jewel like setting in my Favorite shop in Manhattan.It has all the rich royal jeweltones that have splashed onto this seasons wedding gown.

I put my signature hand made ribbon blossom in the center of a the satin band. the perfect background for this regal piece.

This is a perfect accessory for a Mardi Gras wedding or Party.
As I was making this garter I was reminded of the beautiful skirts that the dancers wear in the BALLET FOLKORICO.

I spent my Honeymoon in Mexico. That was in 1965. We HAD to see the BALLET FOLKORICO, and I still remember those wonderful twirling skirts in gorgeous colors. The Ballet is still going strong, as is our marriage of 43 years. If you ever have a chance to see a performance, I highly recommend it.

The garter is made from a silky organza, and satin ribbons.

As with all my original handcrafted garters I will sew a tiny blue bow inside for your "Something Blue".

Here is another of my TIE DYE style garter sets.

This time I've used a tie dye like fabric with a lot of Blues in it. From the multi color bow I suspended the licensed "Dead Head" bear charm.

This would be great for a wedding or even to wear as leg candy to a concert.
