I also include a screen-printed certificate of authenticity.

Holy Crap, October!

This month I became addicted to three tv shows: Dexter, Weeds and Six Feet Under. I drew them all in their respective formats (dvd rental, itunes download and netflix). I thought getting rid of cable would free me from tv. HA! I say HA! not so. I also pondered the purpose of 9 volt batteries, purchased six gold christmas trees (for art, back off) and kind of splurged on an absurdly large handbag (which I have used everyday, thank you very much).

The cover pattern pays tribute to all of the pumpkin pieces that were lost this month to make room for eyes, noses and mouths.

January was stellar! I bought a new drawing lamp to help me draw! I bought some new headphones to put on my head so I can listen to music as I draw! I bought a new semester worth of the gym! I haven't gone yet! I have been too busy drawing! I became addicted to Flight of the Conchords AND the tv show 24. I watch the shows while I draw!

I am sensing a theme here...

Mixtape Zine

This zine is filled with drawings of other people's mixtapes. Each zine is 5x8 and wrapped in a green vellum cover. 14 pages / edition of 30

It is official. Mixtapes are almost impossible to find in the wild. Big thrift stores don't carry them, small thrift stores sometimes have them, but not often. People are more likely to throw away or keep a mixtape instead of donating them to their local thrift store. Even when you donate to the goodwill they throw them away.

So, I want to draw your mixtapes. I want your sad songs, you love jams, your sing at the top of your lungs car tunes, your break-up tape, your make-up tape and your BFF-4evah cassette.

I am only drawing the tape. If you want to participate, please snap a picture of the best side of your favorite tape and email it to me (see my profile) or upload it to your flickrstream and let me know.

I was really getting into the spirit of spring/early summer with purchases like: flip flops, longboard, ginger lemonade and a teal striped tank top. yeah! spring! yeah! summer!

Hey Hey November! Purchases this month ranged from a bag of rice to an iphone. I also happened to buy some swimming medals from the mid 90s and a package of gremlins cards for no reason what so ever. OH and I really wanted our house to smell like fall and winter (hence the candle and incense purchases).

Objects in a Bag / Special Edition Zine

Hey Hey!

I drew all of the objects in my bag and then I made a zine based off of the original drawings.

The zine is an edition of 30 with a screen printed cover.

The inside has a few blank pages for you to draw the objects in your bag...see, we are collaborating!

I made these for my solo show at Reading Frenzy in Portland, Oregon. If you are in the area, stop by to see the original drawings!

Each zine is 5.5x 8.5 inches and contains 20-24 pages - signed and numbered with my favorite pen.
