Piece measures 22 1/2” x 26 1/2” showing, The Fates of mythology, spinning out a person’s fate. Most depict them as old woman, but I painted them as powerful young and middle age women. Painted in oils and framed in wood, Ready to hang.

* The Moirae of Greek mythology

* The Parcae of Roman mythology

* The Norns of Norse mythology

The three Moirae were:

* Clotho (pronounced in English IPA: /ˈkloʊθoʊ]/, Greek Κλωθώ IPA: [klɔːˈtʰɔː] — "spinner") spun the thread of life from her distaff onto her spindle. Her Roman equivalent was Nona, (the 'Ninth'), who was originally a goddess called upon in the ninth month of pregnancy.
* Lachesis (/ˈlækəsɪs/, Greek Λάχεσις [ˈlɑkʰesis] — "allotter" or drawer of lots) measured the thread of life with her rod. Her Roman equivalent was Decima (the 'Tenth').

With the talk at NASA of returning to the Moon was the inspiration for “Tears of the Moon”. I remembered one of the first movies made was from “Earth to the Moon”. I took the classic image of the rocket ship hitting the man in the moon right in the eye and went from there to create the rest of the imagery. His tears breach the plane of the framed portion of the image. Is Time running out?

Lady of the bridge is my tribute to John Galliano of Dior. Galliano is a designer with remarkable range and a wonderful sense of Theater. This particular gown invokes the era of gaslights, steam trains and hot air balloons. The digital collage is started from one of my personnel photos I shot in New York of the Brooklyn Bridge, with added details of a hot air balloon in sepia tones. Image is 9” X 6 3/4” on 11” X 8 1/2” Glossy Photo paper printed with archival inks.
