A wonderful brass cuff that packs a serious punch without weighing you down! This vintage bracelet is a solid brass stamping, meaning that the metal is thin and therefore very lightweight. The pattern is a wide-wale corduroy imprint on a nice wide cuff base, which has been accented beautifully by the natural patina that has appeared on the brass over the years. The bracelet is very flexible and adjustable for a snug fit on any wrist size.
Great vintage condition with heavy natural brass patina.

1 1/2 inches wide at widest point, 1 inch wide at smallest point.
Currently the interior measurements are 2 1/4 inches wide
x 2 inches tall, but the bracelet can be adjusted to fit any size wrist.

This outstanding vintage bangle features a solid brass framework with a second layer of hollow hammered brass decorated in a sophisticated pierced pattern. It is of note that this bracelet is not the standard half-round shape (flat interior edge and a rounded exterior edge) common to many bangles, but rather a pyrimid shape with a flat interior edge and a trianglular exterior. The brass has been gently curved on the triangular edge for the wearer's comfort, of course! While this bangle is chunky, s the majority of the bracelet is hollow making the piece light for its size. Slip-on, fits average to large wrist size.

I had the good fortune to adopt these old lovelies when my old boss moved out of her (gigantic, teaching) studio that was filled to the brim with art supplies. One is shaped like a key, and the other is shaped like...I don't know what, but I have always called it the 'finger of chaos'! They look to me like they are made of cast iron, and have been kissed with a light patina from the weathering of the ages. I simply cannot get over the expression on this little girl's face. Perhaps she was just informed that no, she does not have the power to hire and fire the help.

Anyway. This vintage candy tin reads "Sharps - The Word For Toffee" on two sides and "By Appointment Suppliers of Confectionary to the Late King George VI" on another.
Reads "Made In England By Edward Sharp and Sons Ltd of Maidstone Kent" on the fourth side and on the bottom of the tin.
Would be a great bathroom "stuff" box, a place to stash your keys, love notes or baby teeth. You get the idea!

Condition:
Distressed vintge condition. Inside of tin has some pretty rust spots that add to the appeal. Some chipping and rusting on the lid as visible in the photos.

Oh yes.
Two wonderful portraits of children who inspire me to think they are gypsies and write love poetry for them.

I love, love, love these pictures. Each one of these beauties is a sweet little paper print of a beautiful old painting. The prints are remarkably set in shadowbox-style settings composed of a deep beveled wooden frame and finished with a glass pane set an inch in front of the image. The wooden frames are decorated in a wonderful antiqued faux-gilt finish highlighted by mahogany stain and detailed edges. So beautiful!
