ABOUT SWEET ANTHEM

Seattle-based perfumer Meredith Tucker began making her own handmade perfume oils as a result of an obsession with fragrance and in her own endless search for that One True Perfume, and partially in disgust for the modern commercial fragrance industry. She began crafting her fragrances with formulas that are steeped in ancient alchemical theories but keeping in tradition with her own locavore philosophies.

This line of artisan perfume oils uses ethically and locally sourced ingredients only with a focus on natural and sustainable goods used whenever possible. Each perfume is brewed in small batches and allowed to cure for three weeks before they are considered wear-ready, allowing the chemistry to marry into an other-wordly intimacy. The resulting sultry, indulgent scent experiences are decanted and bottled by hand in Ms. Tucker's home-based studio.

Perfume is composed of three types of notes: the top notes, which dissipate into the air almost immediately; the heart notes, which are drawn out over time and evolve very maturely; and the base notes, which last the longest and remain closest to the skin once the other notes have faded.

Our ingredients are sourced from local (to the Pac NW) and highly reputable sources. Most essential oils, absolutes, attars, etc. are sustainable, organic, or wild harvested. Unmarked oils are synthetic aroma chemicals or fragrance oils from cruelty-free companies we trust.

Seattle-based perfumer Meredith Tucker began making her own handmade perfume oils as a result of an obsession with fragrance and in her own endless search for that One True Perfume, and partially in disgust for the modern commercial fragrance industry. She began crafting her fragrances with formulas that are steeped in ancient alchemical theories but keeping in tradition with her own locavore philosophies.

This line of artisan perfume oils uses ethically and locally sourced ingredients only with a focus on natural and sustainable goods used whenever possible. Each perfume is brewed in small batches and allowed to cure for three weeks before they are considered wear-ready, allowing the chemistry to marry into an other-wordly intimacy. The resulting sultry, indulgent scent experiences are decanted and bottled by hand in Ms. Tucker's home-based studio.
