my favorite 2 vintage keys rescued from a fleamarket are now cast in solid sterling silver. Now I can relive my favorite double strand key design....

the longer chain is sterling silver, and threads through a silver key. the shorter chain is also sterling silver, and threads though a different silver key.
both chains are simply connected in the back to the clasp to make one modern design necklace.

this unique ring is a collaboration between my husband & I. He is also an artist, a painter & printmaker, so he has applied his engraving techniques the the wax ring band I gave him.
this ring was carved directly into wax, engraved with hand drawn faux bois texture, and then cast directly into sterling silver using the lost wax process. solid sterling.
I have oxidized this ring to give the engraved lines a dark finish, and then the surface was wire brushed to highlight the wood grain texture. ridges will shine slightly with wear. interior is a satin finish.

this stone is grayish and semi transparent, but the top texture of the globular rounded druzy crystals is coated with a silver layer & really sparkles. some of the silver has worn off so the underlying quartz shows through to the top in an interesting way. each one of these stones is special & unique.
to me it looks like a bit of textured space age meterorite, or something pulled up from atlantis!

this ring was carved directly into wax, engraved with hand drawn faux bois texture, and then cast directly into sterling silver using the lost wax process. solid sterling.
I have oxidized this ring to give the engraved lines a dark finish, and then the surface was wire brushed to highlight the wood grain texture. ridges will shine slightly with wear. interior is a satin finish.

Five brassy greeny golden pyrite nuggets are simply wired onto a sterling silver chain. These are somewhere between nugget and polyhedron, some square-ish, others having multiple intersecting planes. Most have a dusting of glitter like pyrite bling.
These nuggets of fool's gold are medium sized, about 10mm each. Pyrite is my new favorite color- I'm a fool for it. It goes with all the fall colors, olive greens, magenta, purple, black, also looks great with neutrals and grey.

Necklace measures 18 inches long around the neck.

The first in the wood grain ring series, it has a weathered look as if the grain of the wood was accentuated by drifting in the sea.

this unique ring is a collaboration between my husband & I. He is also an artist, a painter & printmaker, so he has applied his engraving techniques the the wax ring band I gave him.
this ring was carved directly into wax, engraved with hand drawn faux bois texture, and then cast directly into sterling silver using the lost wax process. solid sterling.
I have oxidized this ring to give the engraved lines a dark finish, and then the surface was wire brushed to highlight the wood grain texture. ridges will shine slightly with wear. interior is a satin finish.

turquiose 50% silk 50 % wool yarn and fine gauge copper chain are double crocheted in a shell pattern. The crocheted motif is hung simply from sterling silver chain necklace, oxidized by me to a pretty charcoal grey color. Two bits of copper chain dangle on one side of the crocheted motif.
The iridescent teal blue yarn contrasts the warm copper chain.
The copper chain being heavier than the silk, weighs the necklace down. This necklace will change as you wear it, becoming more & more yours, like a pair of favorite jeans.
