Little House Ornaments

This little glass house (Please! Don't try to live in it!) was made with glass and a great deal of heart. I've been making little glass houses for 5 years now but this year, and each year afterwards, I'm standing up for my community. Each house pin is made to help raise awareness of homelessness and financially support my local emergency shelter.

Keeping the fun in functional is this bright, primary color fused glass vase. Playful Matisse-esque patterns fuse together and drop into this piece which measures almost 8" across the irregularly shaped rim. It stands almost 6" high and is held in a black metal, spiral stand to a full 7" in height.

Plum, amber and chartreuse green stripes fuse together and 'drop' into a playful vase. As the glass heats and melts, the colors combine and catch the light in unexpected ways.

The irregular rim measures approximately 5" and is approximately 6" in height. It hangs in a re-purposed metal stand 8' high.

Lovely on it's own or as a vase or reed diffuser.

Peacock and amber glass are cut, crossed and fired flat. In a second firing the glass is allowed to drop freely until just the right moment. The thrill of it all is sublime.

The colors of this piece play in the light and invite the eye again and again. It is lovely on it's own but would also make a wonderful vase.

The irregular lip measures approximately 4.5" in diameter. The piece totals 8" in height. Comes with a metal stand that measures 3" x 9".

This work is delicate and tricky at best. I love it.

This is an absolutely scrumptious piece of fused glass. The pink, chocolate brown and translucent white glass are fused flat. Then, in a separate firing, the glass is allowed to fall until I 'freeze' the kiln at just the right point.

It makes a beautiful vase or is lovely on its own, playing with the light coming in your window. It comes with a metal stand that measures 11" x 3".

The irregular shape of the lip measures approximately 4.5" in diameter; the piece itself measuring 8.5" long.

Like peas in a pod, well, yeah, exactly like that! Three little dichroic peas in an aventurine green glass pod make this statement ornament. My statement: 49,000 Americans go hungry. This is a lovely fused glass bowl in red, amber and clear glass. It has copper mesh included in the fusing. Once it was flat fired, a second firing took place allowing the warm glass to bend and drop through a mold. It measures approximately 8.5" diameter by 2/5" in height. The center of the bowl is approximately 4.5". Signed and dated.

This fused black glass pendant has a large, blue dichroic earth surrounded by the atmosphere. It hangs from an antique brass chain and is accentuated with chartreuse glass beads and filigree brass beads. This 7.25" x 7.25" plate is a mosiac of an assortment of black glasses with iridescent finishes. The spaces between these pieces of glass has been filled with a powdered glass called 'frit'. Flat fused to 1450F and then slumped into a plate mold with slightly raised sides and a lower temperature. Unique, one of a kind and functional too. Signed and dated.
