Digital painting by Kit Lane of what might have been the unique perspective of a very famous baby about 2000 years ago.

The models for this painting are Bernice, Evelynn and Clarice whom some of you may recall as the lovely sheep who live down the lane and the woolly source of all Jacabobs.

This good natured Jacabob is a giant among his peers. Not only is he tall (3.75 inches) for his age but he's brighter than most of his little Strangeland pals.

He adores computers and has a marvelous memory (new 2 GB Sandisk), enjoys basking in the soft glow of a monitor and is quite content to be quiet while you work.

Aside from his wonderful memory, he is 99.9% wool and made by the needle felting method. This involves poking and poking...and poking s'more into a lumplette of wool until its form appears.

Plays well with other Jacabobs but loathes the kitties with a passion.

This congenial chubby Ursabob enjoys crisp winter mornings, a good roll in the snow, steamy cups of lemon tea with a side of pancakes and syrup, and squidgee squeezles.

Torgle stands 2.5 inches tall. He has a cute little mini-button nose. A lovely sheep down the road named Evelynn donated the soft heather gray wool for his body. His face however is made of pinky peach wool from Bernice the sheep who lives with Evelynn. Torgle was made by the needle felting method which means poking and poking a lump of wool with a very sharp barbed needle a bajillion times until his form appears. This has made him brave in the face of adversity.

He adores hedgehogs, Jacabunnies and plays well with others. (except kitties)

This chunky Jacabunny, a close cousin to the Jacabobs, enjoys a morning stroll in the woods just past the end of the garden, the warm glow of a computer monitor, muffins and raspberry jam, and squidgee squeezles.

Noella stands a lofty 3 inches tall. She has a cute little mini-button nose. A dear sheep down the road named Clarice donated the natural undyed ecru lamb wool for her face. Her body however is made of Christmas Holly red wool from Evelynn the sheep who bunks with Clarice. Noella is made by the needle felting method which means poking and poking a lump of wool with a very sharp barbed needle a bajillion times until her form appears. This has made her slightly squeamish with pointed objects but generally in good mental health.

She has a penchant for squirrels but plays well with Jacabunnies, Burbles and Nurblettes.

*She's not fond of the barn kitties.

Nudiped Baby Natural Renewable Sustainable RESERVED for NancyM

In the wood past the end of the garden hedgerows near the deep forest pond live a quorum of Nudipeds. Nudipeds are most often sighted during the sultry evenings of midsummer around dusk or dawn basking on soft mossy clumps of the woodland floor in the filtered light of the faint sun. It's quite rare to see them this late in the fall, much more unusual to spot a wee tiny one.

Made from sustainable renewable green products:

Wool - sheep give it up every year. (natural and un-dyed)

Cotton Floss - salvaged from my grandmothers sewing box

Height 2.5 inches, width is about the same.

These wee Jacabobs and Bunnikins were needle felted with my own two little hands and photographed by yours truly, although it was printed professionally. If you have the urge for me to sign it, just let me know :o)
